At all seasons of the year it provides a lovely home to return to after a day of skiing, snow boarding, snow mobile riding or sledding in the nearby snow parks, wilderness areas and ski resorts at Sierra Summit and Badger Pass.
This lovely mountain retreat is a perfect nesting place to stay and recharge after a glorious day in the mountains. Many people choose to just stay here during the day and relax on the deck or in the spacious great room and enjoy the natural setting away from the busyness of the city.
It is a beautiful custom 1200 square foot house located adjacent to the Sierra National Forest. It is 3 miles from Bass Lake and 23 miles from Yosemite National Park. The land is a wildlife sanctuary for deer, silver foxes and other wonderful creatures. There are no hiking trails on the property itself. There are many trails within short driving distance. There is a book at the house that gives information on recreational activities in the area.
There is custom stonework behind the wood stove depicting a mountain sunrise with trees and clouds made by a world class stone mason.
The kitchen has granite counter tops. The bathrooms both have dual shower heads.There are 2 bedrooms. Each Bedroom has a queen sized bed.
The house is nestled among pines, oaks and manzanitas with cedar log pillars at the front entry and forming the landscaped gardens.
It is a sacred site perfect for personal creative retreats, solitude and recreation.

Houses on this and neighboring properties are set far apart out of sight from other homes, truly giving the far from the madding crowd, isolated experience. House is very well laid out and impeccably maintained, the all around porch is the most inviting space. There was also a comfy futon mattress for the additional guest in our party.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, pet owners, families with young children.

only one word for it, it was 'fantabulous'!! The large porch and gas barbecue were awesome! We had almost all our meals on the porch. On the inside, it was very well maintained and looked flawless - stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, granite counter-tops, nice bathrooms etc. I think the best part for us was the location - it is set on a couple of acres of property and there is no one around - so its very serene, and quiet and you get your own space to relax and have fun. we loved it :)

We stayed there over the Labor Day weekend. The place is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The outside deck is big and it’s a great space to hang out. We spent most of our time on the deck. The property is huge and full of trees so you get the feeling on being in the forest. We saw some deer running around. Overall a great place to stay and I would go there again.

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. While we spent most of our time in Yosemite, it was wonderful to know that after each hard day's hikes, we had this beautiful place to go back to and rest. The house is kept in beautiful condition, and we didn't have any trouble at all. The view of the stars at night is incredible. It's only about a 30-40 minute drive to the south entrance of the park (another 45-60 minutes from there if you're going all the way to curry village to hike Half Dome or Vernon Falls), but totally worth it for this house. Thank you again for a wonderful vacation!!

My wife & I enjoyed vacationing in this cabin the week of May 22nd to 30th, 2010. The cabin’s interior design blends natural colors with the artistic masonry of a stone fireplace, natural slate baths and floors. In addition, the granite & tile used in the kitchen, complimented the warm colors and stone used in the dining and large living room area. The interior design of the cabin (as presented in the owner’s photographs) makes you feel welcome to be there. The cabin is very clean, comfortable and well-equipped, and is a perfect architectural blend of a home with its surrounding environment. The cabins location enabled my wife & I to enjoyed Yosemite National Park, Sequoia and King’s Canyon National Parks, several local vineyards on the wine trail as well as the old mining town of Mariposa. Great vacation!

We enjoyed a wonderful week here this spring (May 2010). The cabin is peaceful, comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Located just 20 miles from the south entrance to the park, the cabin is close to Bass Lake and is easily reached from the Fresno airport. What's more, it's within a reasonable drive of Sequoia and King's Canyon National Parks.
