Relaxing get away

This turned out to be a great way to visit my wife’s family in Guadalajara. Instead of visiting them in the hot noisy city, they came up and visited us at Chapala. The house was great, lots of places to sit back and talk and enjoy the wonderful view of the grounds and the lake. Even the stools in the kitchen were popular for eating/talking. We especially like the light and bright décor. We cannot say enough about the gardens on the grounds, they are very beautiful with a large grassy area, perfect for kids to run around. The pool was popular with both young and old alike. The weather in Chapala is so much better than Guadalajara, at least 10 degrees cooler. The listing photos and description barely do it justice; it is such a pleasant and relaxing place. Everything was neat and clean, just like the pictures. Ismael was helpful when we had any questions and does great work on the garden. View from the downstairs patio. The house was amazing and the views were indeed spectacular! Even better than described and pictured on VRBO. My family and I had a wonderful and unforgettable one week stay and can't wait to go back again! The house was beautiful, very spacious and comfortable. There was everything one needs to feel right at home from linens & towels to dishes & kitchen utensils. Ismael who is in charge of the house lives right next door and was the most helpful and attentive. I can't thank Sofia enough for all her courtesy. GRACIAS!

My wife and I were joined by three other couples in paradise, Quinta "El Gallo" for 11 days in March, 2008. The villa is spectacular, and the hosts could not have been more helpful. The villa contains more that you could possibly need to enjoy a day, week, month or year. It is a short walk to Chapala, and frequent buses pass to the other nearby villages on the lake. Very good restaurants are in abundance, and excellent shopping is available in Ajijic. The agent Sofia and owner Carmen were both very informative and helpful, as were the maid Marty and gardener Ismael. We had a lovely time. Very restful. Beautiful home and grounds. Very close to dining and shopping. Would most definely stay again. Lots of room.
