Location: Bois Blanc Island, Northeast, Michigan, USA (Neighboring Mackinaw Island)

Accommodations:  Cabin, Studio + Loft, 1 Bath (Sleeps 6-8)

Come enjoy the great outdoors on a remote Great Lakes island. Where you can be the only guests on an inland lake on that island.

While this lodge is rustic and made from the logs that the property provided, it is not at all primitive, giving you all of the modern conveniences of a complete kitchen and a full bath (including bathtub). The loft provides 2 twin size beds (built in next to each other for a king size effect) and one double size bed. And on the second floor there is another double size bed, a couch, and love seat. Here, there is also a dining area. This floor also has a very roomy living room that overlooks the lake where waterfowl are always in view. The first floor also has a dining area next to the kitchen and a full bath.

When you look out at the lake, you can see yet another little island that is often used for bon fires by its seldom visitors. Three quarters of a mile away is a sandy beach on Lake Huron and it is a couple of miles from "town". This town consists of a restaurant/real estate office/general store, a township hall/garbage area, an airport, a small red school house, two chapels, a fire station, community center, and well, you get the drift...there isn't much more but the animals, water, nature, and friendly faces if you go to town. ; )

You can also take a day trip via charter plane for $30/person (2 person minimum) from Bois Blanc to our neighboring historical landmark, Mackinaw Island. Cars are not allowed on this island, so could rent a bicycle, take a horse driven carriage tour, or walk around and join in with the rest of the "fudgies" (tourists). Named after our well known fudge.

To get to the Bois Blanc, you will need to board a ferry (with your vehicle) from the mainland or fly.
