We stayed here Oct 3 and left on Oct 5th, 2011. 3 Adults 55+ the place is bright and colorful just like the pictures show it to be. It was very clean, plenty of hot water. It has been remodeled recently and has a nice kitchen and bath, air conditioning and pull out sofa which one adult slept on but two could , The windows and doors are new and are of a very high quality. the building is very secure, it is on the 3rd floor but has a small elevator if necessary. It is far enough out of St Peters Square, about 20 to 25 minuets brisk walk, that you get away from the heavy tourist area and can get some local flavor. Plenty of transportation in the area if you prefer, buses taxies etc. Francesca is wonderful, I had to change time we meet her to get keys and to pay her a couple of times and it was not a problem, she always answered her cell phone and speaks very good English. And greeted us with a nice smile and enthusiasm. She arranged for a ride for us to the airport, 45 euros, the driver was well dressed and very prompt. I would definitely stay here again and have no problem recommending it to any one Massachusetts, USA

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our trip to Italy. Having stayed at another apartment at the beginning of the trip, we have much better insight of Rome and where to stay than when we arrived. The location of this apartment is great. You have a taxi stop in front, a bus stop in front, the Vatican within a 10 minute walk, and the train to Termini station as well within 5 minutes walking. The apartment itself is within a secure building. So, you have an entry lobby area with a locked door, and a security person in the early evening. The proximity to the airport makes it convenient too - you don't have to go across the bridges or into the main traffic within Rome. The building (within the same block) has a gelato shop, pizza shop, grocery store, chocolate store, bank, arcade, lottery/gambling shop, and gas station. It might be difficult to park if you rent a car, but that might be unnecessary for most visits. The bus stop in front will drop you off at the National Italian Museum and/or the Colosseum area. And then there's the apartment - a really nice one bedroom place that looks as nice as it does in the photos. AC was great, the windows are very nice. The TV is small, but we weren't there long enough to even watch anyway. The elevator is a little challenging to getting your luggage up, but that's not really a problem. There isn't a view at all, but the place is fantastic! I would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed here from April 19-May 1, 2011. I recommend the apartment, albeit with some caveats. 1. The pictures are accurate. The apartment is tastefully furnished and the color coordination is nice and restful. It is a residential neighborhood. 2. The apartment rates are very reasonable, especially for Rome, and Francesca was most generous in making arrangements with me. 3. For a group of two or even three, this apartment would be very comfortable. We had children (13, 10, 3). The two older children slept on the fold out bed and the baby with us (as at home, so it was not inconvenient). With the added people, however, the space becomes tight, especially until you get the kids out of the convertible bed and close it. Also, the kitchen table is foldable, so you need to close the bed to open the breakfast table. And while two people can comfortably sit on the couch to watch any evening TV (great satellite choices), it becomes more tiresome if you also have to enlist the foldable wooden kitchen chairs for others. If you have a baby carriage, you will have problems putting it into (and getting it out of) the Italian elevator. Romans should have marble elevators: they would be grand and spacious. Humble materials like plastic & wood stump 'em. Hot water is provided by a heating tank in the bathroom, so 2 people have enough water, but with a larger group, one must divide showering between morning and night, lest one run out of hot water. The apartment is in a nice residential area. There are at least two supermarkets around the block, plus a wonderful "Swiss/Sicilian" bakery on the corner (try their cannoli). The apartment is a good 25-30 minute walk to the Vatican. The distance is such that once one goes out during the day, one is unlikely to come back to the apartment for a rest or anything like that. But one might decide to walk the 25-30 minutes (we did it 3 or 4 times the day of John Paul's beatification) because the bus service runs about every 15 minutes most frequently and slower in the evening/night. (We spent up to thirty minutes on he Piazza Venezia waiting for a bus heading back that way). Tight parking but if you manage to find a spot at night, you can stand on the street (as we did) for two weeks with no problems. There is a parking garage nearby (about 25 Euro/night). So, in summary: a good apartment (I would stay there again) but think twice perhaps if you have problems walking a lot or are more than two people, three tops

My husband and I rented this apartment for 3 nights last week (September 30th-October 3rd). It is located in a perfect location - about a 20 minute walk to Vatican City where you can either get on one of the open bus hop off / hop on tour OR you can walk a little further to the subway station. Near the apartment there are several pizzerias and gelato shops and also a supermarket - very convenient!! The apartment itself was very clean and in a safe area. A great way to experience life in Rome!! :)

We stayed in this shine apartment in May 2010 and really enjoyed our hollidays. It's located in nice part of Rome in 20-25 min from Vatican by walk. The apartment was clean but had everything that we needed. And Francesca is a really nice person. So for our next visit to Rome we'll choose this apartment again. Thank you, Francesca!

We loved our stay in Rome. This apartment has an excellent location, there is a bus that runs in front of the apartment, that takes you to the Coloseum and other sites in minutes. The apartment is EXACTLY as shown in the pictures, we found it clean and very well-maintained. The owner met us as we agreed and I am comfortable recommending this property. We really felt like citizens and not tourist being away from the touristy experience of staying in a hotel. This place is near a grocer, pharmacy, and several eateries. There is an Internet Point right across from the apartment which is convenient for me as I did not bring my laptop. There was not very much hot water for baths unless you and your partner shower together, one will have to shower at night and the other in the morning. I do not know if this is typical of Rome apartments, but I would still definitely stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Vatican Sunshine vacation rental for our recent stay in Rome. The photos in the listing are very accurate and the property is well-maintained and clean. Francesca was very helpful and suggested particular bus lines to get to the places we desired. We felt safe and liked being in a relatively untouristy neighborhood. It was nice to come back to, after a full day of sight-seeing.
Owner response:Hi Debra, i'm very happy you enjojed my stay.. I hope to see you again in Rome Regards

We loved this apartment! It was clean, bright, and roomy. Great location: grocery store and other shops next door and fruit & veggie stand close by. Close to bus stops and metro stations. Not too long a walk to Vatican City, either! You can hear some noise from your neighbors but not an issue unless you are a very light sleeper. Francesca was a great host; quick to respond to emails and prompt to meet us!

Milla Grazie Francesca, We we were not surprised when reading the other comments about Francesca. She really takes great care of any needs you might have on top of providing a very tasteful apartment. It seems more like home and we would love to live there. Compared to many other rental apartments we have rented there is no comparison. Details seem to Francescas hobby. It is definitely the place we will try to stay in Roma if it is available or maybe we would arrange our calendar. Thanks again, Danke, Ciao a presto
