  I am actually late in giving a review as the day we returned from this trip I lost a very dear friend suddenly. However, we did enjoy our stay at Cozy Retreat. It was our first rental with VRBO and we were very anxious in doing so. The owner made us feel at ease with the rental process. My in-laws live very near to this condo and we do expect to be renting in the future. We had everything we needed to cook anything we wanted. We even took our four-legged friend. We did lose him in the master bedroom so if your pooch ends up disappearing check the drawers in the chest in the bedrooms. Somehow Whiters climbed under and into the back and got in the drawer. We were frantic for about 2 hours and finally found him...so just a word to those with pets...look in the chest before going frantic. We also want to thank the owner and caretaker for being there for us when that happened as well. Thank you Arturo, for being patient with us as first time renters. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

  We recently spent a half a week in the Cozy Retreat the last week of March. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need to cook with and the cabin was SUPER CLEAN!! If there had been any water leaks in the past, as the previous reviewers had stated, there was absolutely no evidence of water damage. The owners were super easy to work with and the views were gorgeous! Very quiet and within walking distance to a park and the community center--with swimming all year around! AWESOME for our kiddos!! Super close to Gatlinburg, the Arts and Crafts Community, and the entrance of the National Park....a MUST STAY!!! Thanks for the opportunity to rent your cabin! Margaret Indiana

  I do not recommend this cabin for rental. We arrived at the cabin late at night found that the lower level had been flooded, the floors and furniture were soaked and the ceiling was falling down. We had two children that had no where to sleep and the smell of mold was terrible. The hot tub did not even have a motor in it and there were metal springs protruding out of our matress in the downstairs bedroom. We had to stayed there that night because we couldn't find another place to stay that late. We called the owner dozens of time and left messages and David wouldl not call us back. We talked to the maintenance people and said that David knew about this situation two weeks before and she couldn't believe he did not contact us. I guess he didn't contact the next family renting on 10/18/10 either. We also have photos of the mess and this experience will keep us from using VRBO again.

  The cabin was not suitable for occupancy and the hot tub was not operational. The lower level had the carpet pulled up and furnitured piled in one area due to a huge water leak. Mold was present and the smell was very bad. We did not stay and the owner would not refund our money. I have photos of the mess and would rate the experience with this cabin as terrible. We have used this sight before with success but this time may keep us from using it again.
