Location: Pinckney, Southeast, Michigan, USA (Livingston County - Half Moon Chain of Lakes)
Accommodations: House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft + Den, 2 Baths (Sleeps 8)
Spectacular Lake Home. This is not a typical ‘cottage’. It is a unique Post and Beam constructed Cedar home. It is located on the Half Moon Chain of lakes. Surrounded by trees, you will enjoy the privacy and woodsy feel of up north without the commute!
The Westshore Lakehouse is steps away from the Potawami Trail, 17 miles of woods and nature for you to roam and forget about life for a while.
The great benefit of being on this chain is that you can spend every day of the week on a different lake. There are seven lakes in all. Each one of them offers something different:
Hiland Lake: Nature at it’s best. This all-sports lake has several lagoons to explore.
Travel down one of the prettiest canals over to Half Moon lake, the largest of the 7.
Continuing down the chain you will find a little gem called Blind Lake. The color of the water is that of the Caribbean. The blue-green color will take your breath away.
Other lakes on the chain include Bruin, Patterson, Woodburn and Watson, each possessing unique qualities.
Small, well-behaved dogs under 40 lbs are accepted (with an additional non-refundable deposit).
Please bring your own linens.

This place was fantastic! The house itself is really cool as you really feel like you are in a nice lakehome, not some smelly cottage. The posts and beams make it feel like a log home and the high ceiling in the family room gives it an airy feeling. The area is nice too as it is quiet and has a lot of trees around. The trails are just across the street to hike on. I highly recommend this place!
