My family, including two young children ages 4 and 7, recently spent a week vacationing at Las Palmeras. The house is everything we look for: private, quiet, spacious, comfortable, elegant, shaded, and right on the beach. The pool was a delight for both the kids and the adults. The place was very clean, and the architecture and design elements were beautiful and soothing. It was a little bit challenging to get there, but thanks to some children in Buena Vista who pointed us in the right direction, we had no real problems finding it. Proximity to services in Troncones and Ixtapa/Zihua was just right for us. Maybe not a place for the more "active" type of vacationers, but we like to just settle down and relax on our trips. The housekeeping staff was friendly and did a good job- just be aware that no English is spoken. A Spanish/English dictionary was provided in the kitchen. The only concern we had with small kids was the "open air" floorplan of the house. The owner told us ahead of time that the living areas were open to nature, and that the bedrooms were individually arranged with their own doors/locks that opened to the courtyard. For a security measure, we brought a motion-activated travel alarm, so if our kids opened their door in the middle of the night, we would know right away. Our kids loved all the "creepy creatures" that came out at night- geckos, bats, frogs, toads, and hermit crabs! What a wonderful, fun, and relaxing time we all had. We'll be back!

We loved our stay at Las Palmeras. My children spent the days swimming in the pool, chasing geckos and collecting shells. We were able to spend quality time as a family walking on the beach and boogie boarding. It was wonderfully peaceful and we were able to just relax and let go of our day to day concerns. Aurora and Bernardo were fabulous and became our friends. We will return again and again. My only complaint is that your pictures don't do the house or beach justice. It was so much better than I imagined.

Ana, we just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at Las Palmeras. The house and beach were just as pictured, but even more relaxing than anticipated.? Aurora and Bernardo were fabulous and catered to our every need, but at the same time allowed us our privacy when requested.
