We offer quiet, comfortable, private accomodations with easy access to the many attractions of South Whidbey Island. As part of the former Jim-John Resort, our community has a long history of being a popular getaway whether it's for a week or two or just a weekend.
Located one mile south of the Clinton-Mukilteo ferry terminal, you can walk-aboard the ferry and we'll pick you up, then return you to the dock after your Whidbey adventure. Bus service is available a short flat walking mile away. Save money and spend that extra hour watching the ferry from the beach instead of waiting for it in line!
Kayakers and boaters-a community boat-launch/beach, just three blocks away, is available for launching. Drive over or walk your kayak aboard the ferry, then paddle down the shoreline for a mile. Or, for the more adventurous, paddle across from Mukilteo. Possible day trips abound and for longer overnight trips, leave your vehicle here for a small fee. Sea Kayak Tours and Rentals are available through Whidbey Island Kayaking Company.
Bicyclists-this is a great home-base for exploring Whidbey's backroads. Located just one mile south of the ferry terminal, you can peddle over on the ferry, unpack and relax before exploring the island. Bicycle repair, sales, and rentals are available thru Half Link Bicycle Shop.
To plan your trip in advance, you may wish to order a copy of the new edition of "Getting to the Water's Edge," a terrific field guide to shoreline access, marine life, trails, history and natural history of Island County, Washington (includes Whidbey and Camano Islands). It is available through The Island Framery, P. O. Box 190, Clinton, WA 98236, (360)341-1418 or through this site. Cost is $20 and includes tax and shipping. |
