This was our first time using VRBO. Our experience couldn't be better. The condo was exactly as described,..well maintained, clean, and well furnished. The owner was very responsive to questions. We highly recommend this property. It was expecially nice to be able to travel with our two cocker spaniels. We hope to return one day for a longer stay.

Well Appointed and Very Comfortable Villa

The owners are eager to please and the Villa is very spacious and comfortable which includes a large screened in deck facing the Golf course. If Golf and Tennis are your interests, than St, James is the place to be! You can also take a walk from the Villa to the heated indoor swimming pool, gym and spa facility. The Immediate Villa area also has an out door community pool.

We just returned from a wonderful week and half at your lovely condo In St James Plantation, Southport. The condo was very clean and exactly as described in VRBO. It was convenient to the Members Club gym facilities and Founders Club. We took daily walks to the marina and a bike ride to Southport and Oak Island. We look forward to returning again soon with our little dog.

Loved this condo!

My husband and I spent a month living in this condo, and from the moment we walked into the door, felt right at home. We especially enjoyed eating most of our meals out on the screened-in porch overlooking the golf course. It was always so peaceful and very relaxing to sit out there, day or night, rain or shine. The king sized bed was very comfortable, as were the couches and chairs in the living room. Because of the layout of this condo, it feels very spacious and cozy too. We would not hesitate to rent this condo again, even for a shorter stay. And Beth is so nice to work with and so accommodating. You won't go wrong renting this condo!!

What a great condo and so well furnished. We loved our stay there -- wish we could have stayed longer. All of the ammenities in this fullly equiped condo made the trip from PA worthwhile -- and the pools, golfing and beach experiences were perfect. We could not believe that in mid to late September that the ocean temps were 82 degrees and the pools were even warmer. We toured Southport and all of its little shops and we loved the Provision Restaurant where we sat and watched the boats go by and enjoyed the sea gulls and pelicans too! We are looking forward to returning again next year -- for at least two full weeks!

I just returned from a week at St James Plantation. This villa was everything I had hoped for....clean, beautifully furnished with everything for the beach. The kitchen was well-equipped and the screened porch with the view of the golf course was wonderful. I loved St James, Southport and Oak Island. I hope to return next summer!

Perfect spot to stay with the family if you're visiting the area. Right on Members course, close to Founders as well. Everything is as advertised (even better). The owners are expert at making the process easy, the unit is well appointed and comfortable. My wife lived on the screened-in porch in the mornings and evenings. We'll definitely be returning when visiting the grandparents in the future!

First of all, I'd like to thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family. We loved the quiet and relaxing setting and the screened porch was definitely one of our favorite amenities. It was great drinking our coffee and sharing nice meals with the girls while overlooking the amazing view of the golf course. Our girls loved how close we were to the pool. Your home is in a great location for taking a day trip to Myrtle Beach or Wilmington to shop. I would absolutely recommend your place to anyone I know and I'd love to make plans for next year! Thanks again for sharing your care-free, relaxing oasis with us!

The villa at St. James was WONDERFUL! We had such an incredible time. The villa had everything from beach chairs, pool toys to games to keep the kids entertained. We ate every meal on the screened in porch while enjoying the golf course. We were first time visitors to the area and my son is asking when we can go back! What a gorgeous villa! It is well-appointed and comfortable and the view is fabulous. We loved St. James Plantation and all the amenities, especially the golf and beach club. Having a pool at the beach was really fun for the kids. We also enjoyed the biking trails - flat and scenic. We hope to return next summer!

We have visited St. James Plantation several times, and this is, by far, our favorite villa. The view is great, the furnishings are quite nice (great mattresses!), the villa is very clean, and the owners are delightful to work with. It is much more like a private home than a rental property! I am not a person who typically does surveys or comments on properties where we have stayed, but I just had to share this with others!

We just loved this villa and would recommend it without hesitation to family and friends. The description on the website was very accurate, the villa was immaculate and well decorated, and the golf course view is so nice. We just loved the screened porch and enjoyed several meals there. The owners were so easy to work with - not a hitch in the whole process from booking the villa through receiving our deposit back. We will definitely vacation here again!

What an outstanding time we had at this villa! It is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and spacious. Our favorite place in the villa is the private screened in porch with the spectacular golf course view. We enjoyed relaxing and drinking coffee out on that wonderful porch! Our daughter liked the close proximity of the pool. It was nice to be able to walk right to the pool and cool off after an afternoon of golfing. We loved the beautiful oceanfront beach house with the nice swimming pool. We also liked the marina where we chartered a boat, toured Bald Head Island, and explored the marsh channels. The combination of swimming, boating, beach combing, and golfing make this the PERFECT getaway spot. It has everything we needed to make our vacation special and memorable.

We stayed in several club villas when looking to purchase property in St. James Plantation. Once we stayed in this villa it became our top rental choice. This unit is decorated very nicely and is very comfortable. The king size bed is a nice plus and the golf course view very relaxing. Although we now live in St. James we would not hesitate renting this villa for overflow out of town guests.

This villa is beautiful, comfortable, clean and has a great golf course view! The rates are very reasonable and the owners were helpful and pleasant throughout the whole rental process. The St. James Plantation amenities are the finest we have found on the NC coast. We have already booked a reservation to stay again!

What a wonderful time we had in your villa at Southport! We spend the 4th of July week in your villa and it felt like home. The furnishings were first class! We enjoyed the view from your screened in porch as we sipped our morning coffee.The pool was close by and the facilities at the club were super. Great vacation get away

We (from Germany) stayed at the condo for 2 weeks in May 2007 with our little daughter then aged 1 year. The description of the location etc is accurate. It is a very well maintained spacious condo and community. The apartment features everything you need on your vacation: A nice kitchen, a very comfortable sofa with a DVD player and TVs (living room and bedroom) plus a porch overlooking the golf course. The community is very peaceful and quite due to the nearby golf course. The swimming pool nearby which is just a 2 minute walk away from the condo was great for a quick dip after some sightseeing. Since we are not yet into golf we cannot review the courses. We went jogging instead which was also nice. We spent most days at the beach which is just a couple of minutes away from St. James by car. The beach is perfect for children since there were very few people and the sand is very fine. Additionally, the community also has a very nice pool facility situated at the beach, if you don’t feel like diving into the Atlantic. On the way to the beach you pass by some grocery stores and fast food restaurants. That is very convenient. For those of you who are movie-goers, there’s also a cinema on the road to the beach. We did tour the area and visited for example Orton Plantation, the battleship in Wilmington and went shopping in South Carolina. There is a lot more to do but we lacked the time. We definitely will return for another vacation once we are again in the States and can fully recommend the place for a stay.
