The house is surrounded on the ocean side by an over 1500 square feet of extensive veranda with a fresh water infinity edge pool (equipped with therapy jets). Hammocks and lounge chairs invite you to read, relax or nap while listening to the waves crashing only 80 feet away where a secluded beach with exceptional snorkeling awaits you.

Year Purchased: 2002
We are Michael and Georgia Paul, owners of Banana Wind in Anguilla. We have been together for over 25 years. Having grown up in Kansas and Pennsylvania, we met in the San Francisco Bay area and lived there for 15 years before packing it all up and moving to a desert island. Our passion is traveling, so when we are not in residence in our beautiful, dream home, Banana Wind, we are probably off exploring some other exotic place in the world.
Why the Owner Chose Lochrum Bay
We were married on the island of St Croix and traveled to a lot of tropical beach places (from Indonesia and the Cook Islands to Mykonos and Santorini). Our dream to live on an island was nurtured by the stories and music of Jimmy Buffett. "Banana Wind" is the title of one of his songs/albums and refers to a wind strong enough to blow bananas from the trees. We named Banana Wind in honor of Jimmy and the nearly constant trade breezes that blow from the east across this fabulous, island paradise.
The Unique Benefits of this Villa
There is a hand-painted tile at the entrance to Banana Wind that reads, "If you are lucky enough to live at the beach, you are lucky enough." We think that says it all.
