The present owners of this 1887 property, located on beautiful Forsyth Park, have lived in the home for 35 years and enjoy sharing it with others.
Both suites are furnished with antiques and collectibles from
the couple's personal collection. Fresh flowers and fruit bowl will welcome you to your suite. Complimentary coffee & teas are provided in each suite.
You can enjoy a brisk walk or leisurely stroll among Savannah's historic homes and squares while enjoying unique shops and restaurants. A beach excursion on Tybee Island is only 25 minutes away. Since our marriage in Sept. 1976, this is the only residence we have called " home ". Our relationship with the home is one of stewardship as much as ownership. In its' past, the house has served a variety of purposes and seen many modifications. The restoration efforts of the buildings and garden have been hands-on and continue to be an on-going process. This property allows us to pursue our interests of gardening and of interior decoration with antique furnishings.Judean has been a Certified Integral Yoga instructor since 1995. Joe puts his car mechanic skills to use in the garage, where notes left by the chauffeur of a previous owner can be seen scribbled on the walls. Throughout the years it has given us pleasure to read and re-read notes left by guests in the guest register. I so enjoyed my stay. J & J thought of everything. I stayed in the carriage house and really enjoyed the quaintness of it. Everything was in working order, well appointed, cheery and comfortable. They supplied fresh fruit, teas, soaps, extra toothbrushes and even some band aids that really came in handy after running the Savannah marathon. Courteous, pleasant and so helpful, they made sure that I had a map, knew where some really cool little places were, knew what areas were safe for a single female and what areas to avoid when walking to downtown. After the race I came 'home' to a nice note on my door welcoming me back and hoping that my marathon was everything I'd hoped it would be. The personal touch they bring is heartfelt. I'd highly recommend staying here. It's across from the beautiful Forsyth park which is a great place to relax as well. Dash the cat is also a great feline ambassador and loves friendly people! The city is also pedestrian friendly, I parked my vehicle and didn't get back into it til I was leaving.

We absolutely loved our home in Savannah! Four of us stayed in the main house and the other two stayed in the Carriage House. It was wonderful and right across from Forsythe Park. We walked to the downtown area easily, passing through beautiful parks on the way. All of us felt very safe from the house to the downtown area in our evening walk. I highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone wanting a true experience of Savannah! Savannah is the city that will take you back in time, and so will this beautiful home!

Cozy and charming, this carriage house was comfortable and in a wonderful location. Attention to details in the decor and ammenities was very evident. We were welcomed by fresh flowers, a nice fruit bowl, coffee and tea and even creamer in the refrigerator. This location is across from Forsyth Park on a lovely street of homes central to walking down Bull Street. The owners checked with us on arrival to go over the carriage house and guide us to their favorite places. Highly recommend staying here for two people.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing.
