Another fabulous girls' weekend at Aunt Kay's Cabin. The owners are so friendly, and don't mind answering any question that pops into our heads (thanks for the tip about Grand Depot!). The cabin was spotlessly clean, as always, and had everything we needed down to soap for the dishwasher and every size cookie sheet we could imagine. The huge kitchen works great for all of our gourmet chefs and bartenders, and there is plenty of room for party games or to spread out when we need a little peace and quiet. We didn't get to the health nut portion of our weekend this year when we go for the big walk around the lakes, which is a beautiful trek, but the views of the lakes and sunsets from the cabin are gorgeous as always. We'll be back next year!

We came here for a girls weekend. We came here a couple of years ago and had a great relaxing weekend! We LOVE the beautiful view of the lake and the peace and quiet at Aunt Kay’s. We will be back – and hopefully it will be a “yearly” event!!

We enjoyed our long weekend at 'Aunt Kay's Cabin'. The cabin was as described in the posting and easy to find. It was very clean, comfortable and homey. Our family of 10 'girls' had a great time boating, swimming, playing games and just plain relaxing on the patio overlooking the lake and beautifully kept grounds. In fact, it was so relaxing that we didn't go anywhere else!

My family and I recently enjoyed a lovely trip to Aunt Kay's cabin!! What a splendid time we had. The view is breathless and it is in a really convenient location to most stores and all. Very spacious home, with lots to do incase of bad weather (in our case that happened). Would highly recommend to anyone looking for that nice beautiful place!!! The owners were super helpful, polite, and not to mention they had a really nice dog :) Thanks for a great stay!!

Six of us women, who are in a book club, came here for a getaway. We had a great time playing games, grilling & having a bonfire – and all without the help of a man! We had fun visiting the town of Cold Spring. We stopped at the fabulous bakery, the unique boutique and the meat raffle at Grumpy’s. It’s a great little town and we look forward to coming back.

Aunt Kay's Cabin was the perfect break for my husband and myself. We are on the road all the time and decided to take a break from hotel life. The home was great, roomy and clean, the grounds were private and the lake and beach were awesome. You couldn't ask for a better place to get away from it all. We will go back when we are in the area again!!

Aunt Kay’s Cabin was the perfect place for a winter retreat for our knitting and crochet group! What a spectacular view of the lake! We loved the spaciousness of the living room where we could gather to knit, crochet, watch movies and chat. The lighting was great for our handiwork. The big kitchen with sinks on each end made meal preparation and clean up easy. The location was great – easy to get to and convenient for shopping for more yarn in St. Cloud. We will be back next year! Thanks for everything you did to make our weekend fantastic.

This past Summer I traveled to the Twin Cities to visit friends in the metro area. Rather than spend a 3 day weekend in an urban setting, my friends suggested that we check to see if we could book Aunt Kay's Cabin on the Horseshoe Chain of Lakes. This place was perfect!!! The drive wasn't much more than an hour, and the cabin was awesome. We arrived just as the sun was setting over the lake, and were able to take in the beautiful view from the private dock. The next day we rented the pontoon boat, explored the lakes, and ended up swimming most of the day at the Crane Island sand-bar. The property is very private, (only one other house on the entire peninsula). Camp fire, fishing, swimming, exploring, sun-bathing, and a beautiful cabin! What more could one ask for?

We stayed at Aunt Kay’s lakeside home last summer. We enjoyed waking up to the peaceful music of the loons and doves, and viewing the great blue heron rookery on one of the islands on this chain of lakes. We filled each day with swimming, fishing, boating and relaxing. Surrounded by nature and beauty, this home has a panoramic view of the lakes and it is just a few steps down to the beach and dock area. It was just what we needed. We’ll be back!Darla, Austin, TX

Aunt Kay's Cabin is so much more than a cabin, it's a fabulous home with all the amenities of the most comfortable home. The lake is beautiful and the home has a great lake view and easy access. There's room for a family or a group of friends, and there's plenty to do whether you chose to enjoy the lake solitude or go to a nearby golf course, casino or one of several restaurants. A great spot for a weekend getaway or a longer vacation!
