We stayed for a short weekend at this private little bungalow to celebrate my daughter's 25th birthday. All the amenities of home were included and then some! It was ultra-comfortable, it had a GREAT view of the ocean just outside the sliding doors of both lower & upper decks that overlooked the beautiful gulf. The lower deck was covered and an awesome place for breakfast with all the furniture and little seating area to eat. The living room was so comfy with a huge stereo system right there and mirrors all over the condo making it seem so much more spacious than it already was.... very accommodating with the one 1/2 bathroom downstairs & 2 full upstairs...comfy beds and very beach-tique decorated! We were at the end of the public beach area and practically had it all to ourselves! We didn't want to leave! The unit is on the very end of the street in a private community and you drive straight into your private parking spot under the unit.... It couldn't have been more perfect or welcoming! Our stay was just WAY too short! We'll definitely come back! The Spicy Noodle Restaurant across the street was our favorite meal! Look no further, THIS will be your favorite Inlet Beach getaway*

We stayed there with our two young children and had an amazing time. The house had everything we needed, even lots of hooks on the backs of the doors to hang wet towels and suits. It is clean and well kept. We felt very comfortable there and were thrilled with the views and the stunning beach. The owner checked on us early in our stay to ensure everything was OK. You have to walk down a boardwalk to get to the beach, but that took just a few minutes and it was worth it. The beach was so pristine and we felt like we had our own private beach. Even our 4-year-old made the walk happily several times each day. We would definitely stay there again if we vacationed in this area.

My family stayed at the townhome the week of June 18, 2011 and had a wonderful experience. The views from both patios were breathtaking. We watched dolphins the moment we arrived and everyday during the week. The newly constructed walk to the beach made the walk easier than tracking across the dunes. The water was perfect and crystal clear. My 12 and 16 year old daughters loved to boogie board and skim board in the surf and my wife loved relaxing on the snow white beaches. Being able to take our precious dog made it perfect! The accommodations were very clean and all necessary appliances and comforts were provided. We highly recommend the beach front townhome to everyone.

MY FAMILY AND I VISITED INLET BEACH DURING THE WEEK OF JUNE 11-18, 2011. WE HAVE STAYED AT SEVERAL PLACES IN DESTIN OVER THE YEARS BUT THIS WAS THE MOST RELAXING AND BEAUTIFUL BEACH THAT WE HAVE VISITED BY FAR. WE TOOK OUR 20 MONTH OLD GRANDSON WITH US AND HE HAD A BLAST. THIS IS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR RELAXING IN THE SUN WITHOUT ALOT OF PEOPLE. THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND EFFICENT. MARY WAS WONDERFUL THROUGH OUT OUR STAY. WE COULDN'T ASK FOR A BETTER PLACE TO STAY. WE RECOMMEND STAYING AT MARY'S PLACE. WE WILL BE BACK.

My husband and I returned again this May with our Jack Russell Terrier, Chet. Throughout our stay, the weather was exceptional, the views idyllic, and the days and nights perfectly carefree. Much to our surprise, the completion of a new boardwalk allowed us effortless and convenient beach access right down to the sand. Our neighbors on the beach were gracious, warm, and friendly. Most had dogs of their own in tow and were ecstatic to meet our Chet! Mary's place has every kind of creature comfort we could want at the beach, and the ambiance is so casual and inviting that we feel completely at home there. This has become our favorite place to relax and celebrate. The sunsets and the seafood are extraordinary. Who could ask for more?

If you are looking for a quiet spot with privacy then this is the place for you. Mary was also kind enough to allow us to bring our three shih tzus with us. The townhouse was very nice, I especially liked the fact that each bed room has its own bathroom. One of the most relaxing vacations that we have ever had. Thanks a million for sharing your little piece of heaven!!!

Sadly our vacation has ended. My husband and I and our little Min Pin spent a week at Inlet Hideaway which seemed to just fly by. I loved the upper deck, it was my little domain. Up early every morning to catch the rays and listen to the relaxing sounds of the ocean, then mid day hit the beach until late afternoon. The amenities are plentiful and the townhouse is just beautiful and comfortable which makes for a real home feel. The secluded feel is wonderful and thank you for the chairs and umbrella. Mary is so generous and acommodating, just the coolest person ever!! We will definitely be coming back to this little Piece of Heaven! Mary, thank you again for your generosity.

My husband and I have visited Inlet Beach over the past 3 years. If you are looking to be on a beautiful beach with few tourists and no highrises this is the spot for you. Mary allowed us to bring our poodles and that's very important to us. This is a hidden secret that lies between Panama City and San Destin. There is local fair close by and within 20 minutes you can have the nightlife and tourism if needed. We go to the local fishmarket, cook on the grill and enjoyed the patio. Quiet, beautiful views and you're not at work what more could you ask for. It's a quaint little spot with it's own unique charm. We loved it! If you're looking for people, noise, nightclubs and a bust atmosphere this is not the place for you.

We had a blast! Even our little dog didn't want to leave. We weren't even sure we were gonna make the trip, but we are sure glad we did. Thank you Mary for being so patient with us! The location is perfect, close enough to visit the local shops/restaurants/entertainment without spending a small fortune in gas; yet secluded enough to enjoy the peaceful calm of the ocean current without the hotel crowds. The Townhouse is loaded with common consumables; enhancing the home-away-from-home atmosphere. Oh and the view from the 2nd story balcony is breathtaking! Thanks again Mary!

We have always gone to Destin whenever we have gone to Florida but I happened to find the VRBO site online when I was looking for a place that would except pets and would be the ideal place for my husband and I to renew our 22 year wedding vows. I couldn't have found a better place than this beach house. It is incredibly beautiful and quite secluded. We renewed our vows right in front of the house close to the shoreline. It was like the beach had been reserved for us. It is located away from all the touristy busy places but close enough to go to shops or out to eat if you want. This was our first time in Panama City and we plan on coming back every year to celebrate our anniversary at this beautiful place.

The website pictures are misleading. We found siding that had fallen off, ceilings with gross, brown stains indicating previous plumping problems, a bathroom towel rack that fell off the first time it was used, ceiling fans with significantly bent blades, lights that would not work, neglected paint, smelly interior - generally not maintained.
Owner response:I called the day after this couple arrived to check in with them. The man seemed very angry, saying that my pictures on the website were misleading. This is not the case, as you can see from the other guest comments. The comment labeled "Return Visit" is from repeat guests, who checked out the day before these folks arrived. Yes, it is an older townhouse, but very clean. I was actually there the day that these people checked in, and had deep cleaned everything....It was spotless! There was absolutely no bad smell at all! When the man said he was upset, I was very shocked! He demanded that I refund half of his money. I told him that if he wanted to go ahead & leave, I would give him a full refund. He said he would do that. His wife called back shortly saying that they wanted to stay, as another couple would be joining them. They had told me on their reservation form it would be just the two of them. The entire main floor of my place has been painted within the last year, and the ceiling fans are not bent. There is a small stain on the ceiling in the dining area. My handyman said someone did not have the shower liner inside the tub above it & it had caused a water stain. He put kilz on it & painted it. It must have seeped through, and I plan to take care of it as soon as I have a window of opportunity. It is about the size of a baseball, and not gross. There are 4 pieces of missing siding on the dividing wall on the upper deck, which blew off during a storm. My handyman kept saying he was trying to find siding to match. I decided he is too busy, so I have contracted someone to replace the siding on the entire wall. The towel bar has been repaired. I always leave extra light bulbs in the laundry room cabinet. I know there were extra bulbs there during his stay, and the lights all work otherwise. I had gone to the beach after I cleaned my place, before this couple arrived. As I walked up from the beach, he was sitting on the porch; he smiled, waved & looked very relaxed & happy. His dog was barking loudly and he never tried to make it stop. I thought "I hope this dog doesn't disturb the other guests". I sent them a $150 refund. He did not know I had been there prior to his arrival, so he thought I would believe his allegations of a bad smell. I am happy to provide references from past guests. The couple from 4/22 have booked for next year, and from 5/29 say they will also. I try my very best to make my place awesome...

We have visited Mary's condo twice - once in November and most recently in May. We love the beach in all weather but really had a great trip May this year. The weather was perfect. Warm with breeze but never too hot but cooled off nicely at night. The lower porch was our favorite area. The condo is very comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well-stocked. The upstairs bedrooms are nice so the early risers can be up without disturbing sleepers. The best thing about it is the location of the condo - at the end of the beach near Camp Helen State Park so the beach is less populated than "up the road." We love it!! And Mary is so pleasant and laid back about the whole rental process. We plan to return many more times.

It is just Awe inspiring! Mary's Condo is very clean, has everything that you could want and feels just as welcoming and inviting as your own home. Sitting on the deck outside the master suite at night and looking up at the stars was a welcomed site for us "City Girls" We enjoyed hearing nothing but the ocean and birds. The white sugar sand beach was a great way to start the day, just you, and God's gift of nature. If you want adventure, Panama Beach and Destin are not far away. We loved our adventure to these citys but always enjoyed coming "home" to the tranquality of Inlet Beach. The perfect way to end a day at Inlet Beach is sitting on the beach and watching the sun set...BREATHTAKING. Inlet Beach will be a return vacation spot for this Texas girl!

Inlet Beach Hideaway is perfect...the website, while good, just doesn't do it justice!! We had only 3 short days at this amazingly private little place with spectacular views. Would highly recommed it for a couples or girls get away. It was such a home away from home...Mary has thought of EVERYTHING. We can't wait to go back...and next time we'll bring our pups.

"Excellent location and value. We will be back. " "This condo is practically as close as you can get to the water. Making it to and from the beach takes no effort at all, even with chairs and a two-year-old in tow. We ate every meal on the outside deck. The kitchen offers everything you need to cook for the whole group. There are plenty of restaurants close enough for walking or delivery. The condo is organized to maximize the inside space. On the rare occasion we turned on the television, we were able to accommodate the entire group in the living room. The bedroom closets are large and everything is comfortable. We recommend this property if you want to be VERY close to the water, if you can fit into two bedrooms and a pull-out sofa, and if you want a great deal compared to nearby Rosemary. The neighboring house is beautiful and evidently, the owners do not visit often. The state park is on the other side of the neighboring house, so you can imagine that we enjoyed peace and quiet. Our dogs loved it and we did, too. Excellent all around. We will be back. "

Mary, What can I say--the best vacation I have ever had in my life. Your place has it all, wonderful shopping in 2 areas Panama City & Destin and the most relaxing atmosphere on the Gulf - bar none. We watched the the sunsets in your swing on the beach and let the waves sing us to sleep each night. Both us and our dog says "It doesn't get any better than this!" We have stayed in many places along the gulf coast and this place is by far the best equipped with anything that one would need. It was like someone’s home, and not just a rental unit. Not only do you look out onto the beach, you also hear the waves from inside. The beach is clean and is located next to a state park so it is quiet and not crowded with people or mass new development. The townhouse is older but very clean and well equiped for all of your wants and needs.

The days seemed to last forever--that was a good thing! The seafood market on Hwy 98 was excellent--best jumbo shrimp and snapper that I've had in a while. My husband was equally impressed. Also, there was a good selection of sea shells. Thanks! Jackie Ramsey

We feel like we have come home every time we turn down the street to Sunswept Cottage. We love the seclusion, the beautiful views, and the comfort of your home away from home.
