We reserved the condo for a baseball tournament that ran Wednesday through Sunday. We chose a condo versus a hotel for this reason. On Wednesday, I went to wash the first load of clothes--the washer never drained/spun the water out. I spent 3 hours wringing by hand and drying the dirty clothes. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I was left to deal with repairmen, laundromats and purchasing additional towels all while still trying to enjoy my son and his tournament and our VACATION. I attempted to resolve with the owner by asking for half price refunded to me for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but finally agreed to 2 days--trying to be cooperative. I felt I could have asked for more given the amount of time I spent but was trying to resolve. I have yet to receive my refund for which I have emails promising it to me. The last promise was to have it to me by 8/31. The sofa bed did not work. The lock to the door did not work. The carpet needed a long overdue cleaning. All this, I still enjoyed my son and my family!!

Condo was not clean when we arrived...

We arrived at 10pm on Wednesday and the condo was not clean. When I say not clean, I mean all beds were unmade, trash cans overflowing, food crumbs all over kitchen and floors. The bathrooms were deplorable and my wife had to actually get clorox wipes out that she always takes and wipe urine off the toilet seat and from the floor. We had one sick child and this was a huge inconvienience. We tried for 30 minutes to get in touch with the owner and finally got a text message apologizing. Since it took so long to get back with us and we had no idea what to do, we decided to go to Wal-mart and purchase new sheets and pillows which cost $70. I requested to be refunded one night stay and the $70 which I thought was very reasonable given the situation. I was told "I'm not going to credit you sheets when there's a washer and dryer there." So, the expectation was to wash and dry sheets at 10am at night with a sick child. The cleaning lady arrived at 10am the next morning and was very apologetic. She said this was one of the dirtiest condo's in the complex and the owners were terrible to work with. She said this was not the first time this had happened. She also said they always carry a balance with them and are constantly past due on paying them for the cleaning. Bottom line, I would definitely recommend the complex, however would avoid this unit.
Owner response:This is totally unfair. Of course this is not the TOTAL story. This person was supposed to check in on Friday, June 3rd, but called late in the day on Wednesday, June 1st asking to check in two days early. Typically, our cleaning service cleans the same day as a departure but had not when he checked in at 10 p.m. that night. When he called at 10:30 p.m., I responded and contacted my cleaning service who was there first thing the next a.m. Since we already gave him the room for 1/3 of the normal rental price for the two additional nights, I explained that the only other discount I could offer was a $50 credit. Which would put the room-(that normally rents for $260 night) at $75 nights. I thought that was fair and reasonable. He text me until Midnight that night, and nothing would make him happy at that point. He had a sick child with 103 degrees of fever that could have influenced his reaction. This was a mistake, and we have now switched cleaning companies as well. Our unit is clean, beautiful and has the best views!
