This house was so great for a long weekend getaway for our friends -- easy access to the beach, sunny common areas, and many patios to lounge around in. Access to the place is easy enough and the assistance was wonderful. We were in town for the Gentlemen of the Road stopover in Monterey and found the place to be conveniently located to provide a quiet getaway before and after the concert. I would definitely recommend this for large groups (10-12) and especially for small families who want a relaxing stay near the beach. Thanks, Lou Ann!Did you find this review helpful? The beach house was better then imagined. Everything in the home was so cozy and comfortable, it felt like home. The beach was only a hop, skip and a jump away. The view was amazing and the kids had a blast. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The owner Lou Ann is the nicest lady ever and made everything so easy. We will definitely be back, was an experience we'll never forget! Thanks again Lou Ann your the best!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Pajaro Dunes is a beautiful location - a group of beach houses nestled in the dunes in front of a gorgeous stretch of beach. The house was very nice. Built several decades ago but with some updates. The top level master bedroom has wonderful ocean views. The main level has an open plan with kitchen/dining/living area, opening onto decks on two sides of the house; ocean views from the main level also. The kitchen is functional with some updates. The downstairs level has three bedrooms and a full bathroom, and laundry. Recommended!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent a few days after the holidays enjoying the beach at Pajaro Dunes and thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beach house. It fit our family's needs. I loved the large dining room table and the upstairs master suite is wonderful. The owners were helpful and welcoming to our questions. It was clean and comfortable.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Spent 2 wonderful weeks in this very lovely home. Complete kitchen made feeding 2 year old so easy. Layout provides plenty of privacy. Lots of decks for relaxing. Beach has great fine sand and we walked it for miles. Too bad other reviewer didn't call to have extra garbage removed by very very responsive Pajara Dunes staff. Nearby fire fighters allowed 2 year old to sit in the fire engine. Need I say more? He will never forget this moment and we will treasure our hilarious family fun times there. If the owner lived closer to our home town, I would have invited her for dinner. She is a dream to work with and gave very thoughtful and kind responses to all our questions.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent 2 days at this cozy home only 2 minutes' walk to the ocean. There were 11 of us which was a bit tight, though the master bedroom suite is spacious. We loved all the decks on both sides of the house. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, and the house was spotless upon arrival. The elder member of our group had difficulty with all of the stairs. The grounds are stunning. We had 2 dinners in Watsonville which is a 10 minute drive away.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

My family and friends stayed for 2 days. We loved the location of the house, we didn't have to walk all the way to the beach with our coolers, etc. It was right next to the parking lot (you do walk a little bit, but not much). The place was clean, spacious, and with all the supplies we needed. The owner was very helpful in answering our questions. There was a convenience store close-by that we could easily access. All of us said we would come back to this house. Lovely place to stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent three nights during Labor day weekend with a party of 9. The miles and miles of beach at Pajaro dunes is wide and enchanting. We ran and played and collected sand dollars washed ashore. We visited nearby Moss Landing and did kayaking and otter watching. It is a great place to be!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If only we had stayed longer. Everytime we went to take out the trash , it had been pick up. Very friendly place. We highly suggest this as you vacation spotRecommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family of 4 vacationed with my husband's parents and his brother's family of 3. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed and the washing machine and dryer made it possible to carry less. The home has amazing views and the private beach was perfect. The owner was extremely prompt, kind and accommodating. This was the perfect vacation and we cannot wait to go back again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family vacation at Pajaro Dunes was awesome; it just ended to soon. The only thing I have to comment on, is the trash cans outside were full when we arrived and overflowing by the time we left. Also there could have been more large trash bags available. Would not only recommend this property, but would stay again. It was nice to have the privacy, peace and quite, but still within driving distance to see and do what ever we wanted.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

We spent New Years here with a total of 6 adults and 4 kids under the age of 4. Great proximity to both parking lot and beach. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a few cooks in the group and they were pleased with the beautiful gas stove and plenty of gadgets, pots, pans, etc to work with. If you have kids, best if they are comfortable with stairs as the house is 3 levels. Ours loved exploring on the outside decks. The owners were lovely to work with...very friendly and responsive. We would stay here again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

As a group of seven people from England holidaying in California for the first time, this fabulous house was our first destination on our arrival to the state. The house, its setting and location could not have been better, it provided us with the perfect start to our holiday. Knowing what we know now it would have been easy to spend our whole holiday duration at this house. If Monterey Bay is your destination then check this place out before you make a decision, you will not be disappointed I promise!!! JimDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The hous is perfect, you have all the view from around the house from third floor. The beach is just 100 yards, we walked along the beach every day. It's realy long beach. Things inside the house are well keep, we felt very comfortable like a stay on our own home. We ourself plan to come back and definitely recommend to our friends. We have been coming to Pajaro for over 30 years and stayed in dozens of houses and condos. This is the 1st time we stayed in this house - but it won't be our last! What a great floorplan for a large group. Very convenient to parking lot but quick walk to beach. Very easy booking with owner. Thrilled with this rental!Did you find this review helpful? What a nice place to stay. Plenty of room to spread out and decks galore. Views of the ocean from every floor and a nice easy walk to the beach. The scent from the hugh eucalyptus trees were not only relaxing but welcoming. There are plenty of stairs to navigate but the house was close to the parking lot for easy loading. My family will have fond memories of this weekend for a long time. Thank you Lou Ann and family.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had an absolutely wonderful family vacation at this home. Everything was just as it appeared on the website, very clean, comfy beds, lots of room, large dining table (there was 10 of us & we all fit). We could see & hear the ocean from the master bedroom. Loved it! The kitchen was stocked with everything you need - platters, large pots & pans, food choppers & a nice big barbeque on the deck. The beach access was very easy & what a wonderful beach! We were able to have a family touch football game & not disturb anyone (like we had our very own private beach). Our children & grandchildren loved this place & we plan to use it again. The owner is a wonderful lady to work with, very caring & full of ideas of places to go & things to do. We thank her very much for sharing her "little bit of paradise". You won't be diappointed - we weren't!!!!!!! Judy & Gene Price & familyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had six adults and two small children at a wonderful family gathering at the Pajaro Dunes house. People could gather in the main room for talk, games and meals, or find some time away from the group in their rooms or on one of the decks. The beach is beautiful, parking is close and the location makes it easy to go to into Santa Cruz or Monterey. Everything we needed was there and it was a wonderful place for our far-flung family to spend time together.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We spent three wonderful nights at the Pajaro Dunes beach house. The occasion was a family get-together and included 6 adults and three children. The house was very comfortable and had plenty of space, with a wonderfuld great room with lots of windows and a fire place. Access to the miles long, sandy beach was quick and easy. We have spent pretty much our entire lives in Northern California and we found the location to be somewhat unique due to the location of the homes within a belt of sand dunes. We also appreciated the close proximity to kayaking and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Both Santa Cruz and the Monterey Penisula are close by. We're all looking forward to a return trip.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

This house worked our perfectly. This was our 3rd time in Pajaro Dunes, and this was the best house we have stayed in. The view/atmosphere from the 3rd floor deck was great, and the family area on the 2nd floor was perfect for everyone to get together. Overall, large bedrooms and a unique architecture to the house. Definitely recommend it.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

This is truly a little piece of paradise. It is so quiet here. The house has all the amenities of home plus more. We felt right at home as soon as we walked into this house. The master bedroom suite was fit for royalty. The 3 bedrooms downstairs were comfortable. Our family reunion peaked one night with 12 adults and 5 children sleeping comfortably in this house, scattered between the beds, the inflatable mattress and the sofas. The beach is so close and it is a clean beach with not many people. The kids loved to boogie board in the waves. Collecting sand dollars was such much fun. It was a quest each day to find as many intact sand dollars as possible. The daily walks on the beach were wonderful. Shore bird watching became a new hobby. The sunsets were beautiful. Warnings about this house besides not wanting to leave it after spending two glorious weeks here: the stairs was difficult to navigate for the elderly and for the very young (age 16months). The bathrooms are located on the first floor and the third floor master suite (none on the second level). The kitchen is too small for more than 2 or 3 cooks at a time. Other than that, we all had a fantastic time! Everyone voted to repeat this reunion annually. The two weeks passed by so quickly, yet at times it was as if time stood still. There is so much wildlife here that we were constantly entertained. We loved hanging out at the balcony every morning and watch the hummingbirds greet us. The funny antics of the squirrels at the neighbor’s bird feeders were adorable. This is a wonderful place to recuperate from the everyday life stresses. It is perfect for anyone, ranging from one couple to a whole family reunion. A special “thank you” goes out to the homeowners of this warm and lovely home. They were so easy to work with and genuinely cared so much about us. It is their love and devotion that has transformed this house into a home away from home for all of us.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is a great beach house! We spent a few days during our California Thanksgiving vacation in this house with our good family friends from Fresno. In all we had 4 adults and 4 teenagers and never felt crowded - plenty of room. The family room/dining room/kitchen area on the middle floor has a fireplace, fantastic windows and is very cozy. We all spent the majority of our time socializing in this area or on one of the many decks sunbathing/reading. The area around Pajaro Dunes is loaded with activities. I reccomend Phil's Fish House in Moss Landing for fresh fish, chowder, and cioppino - We brought it back to the house to grill and enjoy. I would definitely rent again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

Our family enjoyed our stay at Pajaro. The house had a good floor plan with a nice gathering area in the living room- dining room. We had several decks to enjoy the view of the ocean. A beautiful, quiet beach was a short walk from the house. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows by the bonfire on the beach at night. We saw many species of birds (sandpipers, pelicans, seagulls), seals, and dolphins.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

What a beautiful home! It is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you might need. It was perfect for our family get together. We gathered for meals and long conversations around the dining room table, we walked on the beach collecting sand dollars, we read on deck, watched the sunsets, and went sightseeing in town. This house is big enough for a large group but has plenty of nooks to escape for quiet time. The only thing to be aware of is there are a lot of stairs and our elderly parents had to be careful. Otherwise ... it is perfect.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3
