We rented this house from 9/26/11 - 9/30/11. It was very clean and everything advertised was there. The location is great. Plenty of things are within a very short drive.The central A/C was fantastic for taking the humidity out of the air. It was very spacious, with an eat in kitchen, dining area, and living room/family room. The extras such as shampoo, toiletries and kitchen condiments were a very nice touch. We didn't use them, but there were even some bicycles and a cart to bring stuff to the beach. They really seemed to think of everything. We would definately consider another stay at this property or another one managed by the same people.

We had an absolutely wonderful vacation with our adult children, their spouses and our wonderful grandaughter. The house was very spacious and we all were very comfortable and did not feel crouded. The property was well located and the owners were very helpful. We would recommend the property and would like to come again. The restaurant Seafood Sam's was just great. We picked this house to meet with our grown up son. We were so pleased with this house! We felt right at home the moment we walked in. The house is well maintained, clean, spacious and very inviting. I loved the kitchen. It is well equipped and very clean, pots and pens are new and in a good shape (shining). The owners provide some condiments, so when my family wanted pancakes the floor, salt, sugar and olive oil were there. We went deep-sea fishing one day. It was so much fun; we did catch some fish and cooked it for lunch that day, and we ate it outside, on the deck. We found it very helpful that owners provide these little brochures about the area’s events, dining, and places to see. Also, when we were booking the house they gave us suggestions about the area and activities and answered all our questions. It feels like owners really took the time and the effort to make this house a home - cozy bedrooms with comfy beds, beautiful china set for a special meal in the dining room, big screen TV in the living room, all the toiletries and towels, the bikes and the hammock. There wasn't anything that we disliked about this home. We really enjoyed our stay. The ocean is just 5 minutes away and swimming was fantastic. We will definitely come back.

We had a FABULOUS time in this beautiful, meticulously clean house. It was so nice not having to bring your own sheets and towels or anything else for that matter besides your clothes and personal toiletries. We vacationed with my parents (age 82 and 70) and the one floor living was perfect. The central air was awesome too! Convenient to everything but far enough away that it was quiet. We would definitely come back!

July 2011 vacation

We were looking for a quiet place on the lower Cape that was close to the beach and this property fit the bill. The house was located a few blocks from busy Route 28 but far enough so that the main road was out of sight and traffic noise was not a problem. The beach was a short 10 minute walk away and had beautiful white sand and warm water but the lack of waves was a little disappointing to my nephew, who had hoped to boogie board. The house was clean and well stocked with plenty of paper supplies, kitchen utensils, towels and linens. There was an air hockey game in the basement that provided a lot of fun for the kids and a very comfortable hammock that we all enjoyed. The house comfortably slept four adults and two children (9 and 14). We used the house as a base from which to tour the Cape, ride bicycles, and visit the beaches. The national sea-shore beaches, about a 40 minute drive away, were absolutely gorgeous, and provided plenty of wave action. The Cape Cod bike trail was a short drive away (we rode our bikes to it the first day but had to negotiate a lot of traffic) and provided a beautiful tour through several Cape Cod towns. We even took advantage of some public tennis courts. All in all, this was a great place to spend the week on Cape Cod.

The house is in a very good condition, and within walking distance from the beach. Alex is a very nice person who kindly accommodated our request/needs of late arrival, and offered us to check-out late.

What a wonderful time we had in a very lovely home. It was all and then some from what was written on the site when we first booked. We arrived and this home is so lovely. My husband and I went with my aunt and uncle from Florida. First time in the Cape for me. And because of this experience, certainly not the last. You kind of felt that this home was your own. Very spacious. The four of us almost got lost in the house.. The bedrooms were very large and the rest of the rooms were also.. Very Very nice!!! Thank you so much to the owners...

family get away

We had a great time at this house. It was just the right size for our extended family of 8 (3 of them being kids under age 5). Easy 10 minute walk to a great beach. Close to other towns... and the Dairy Queen! Neighborhood was just a normal neighborhood, nothing too fancy, but was nice all the same. We could see ourselves coming back to visit sometime!

Summer Vacation

We loved the house. It was quite spacious and the beds were comfortable. It was wonderful to have all linens, towels, and toiletries supplied. And it was quite convenient to have a washer and dryer in the basement. For any birders, bring your binoculars. Seagull Beach, which was only about a 5 minute drive, had quite a few large shore birds. You could also just sit on the deck and see birds in the trees. Because the area is so wooded, you can walk around the neighborhood to bird as well.

Had a fabulous time in the South Yarmouth house! 8 of us and the house was still roomy and comfortable. The location was convenient to all the cape has to offer from whale watching, kayaking, and beach walking to shopping and museums. We will definately have to have a return visit!

Girls Only Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at your home. It felt very good to walk into a clean, nicely maintained, and well stocked home. Great location with many of local activities. Beach was within walking distance. We took the high speed boat to Nantucket for a day, spent another day in pea town, enjoyed visiting local restaurants and small quaint shops. I would "HIGHLY" recommend this home.

It was girls weekend - 4 friends who left the kids and husbands home for 5 days. We were nervous about booking this all online but let me tell you - IT WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC. We were thrilled that each of us had our own bedroom and it was like being at home with all the amenities. Plus we even had some items in the refrig. The house was in great condition. It was centrally located on the Cape. 15 minutes east of Hyannis and a little over an hour to Provincetown. We took the ferry to Nantucket (first time experience) and had a blast. Also, went to P-Town and loved it. Great shops and restaurants. Try the Lobster Pot - delicious!!!!! We would definitely stay here again. It was immaculate, well stocked and in great condition. Thanks for making our girls weekend a blast!!!!!

Special Birthday Holiday

Three members of our foursome have "special" birthdays this year and with this in mind we chose to stay at this property aptly called "Gem of South Yarmouth". What a good choice this was! The house was very clean and spacious with all furnishings and fittings of a high standard and every amenity you could wish for. The property has easy access to many restaurants and also a good local supermarket. Apart from visiting many of the lovely places on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Princetown, Chatham etc, the men enjoyed playing golf on many of the courses in the area and us girls enjoyed a spot of shopping at Wrentham Outlet and Boston - we had come prepared with roomy cases! But whereever our daily travels took us we were always happy to return to the comfort of our holiday home. We all agreed this will certainly rate as one of our most enjoyable holidays and we would love to return in the not too distant future to pick up where we left off.

Dear Val and Alex, Thank you again for a most enjoyable holiday in your very comfortable holiday home. It is always a bit daunting to rent a house sight unseen, particularly from a long distance, but we found your house met all our expectations. The house was very bright and clean, attractively furnished, comfortable and very well equipped. We especially appreciated the high standard of fitting and equipping in the kitchen and bathrooms and the lovely garden, deck and hammock. The surrounding area is lovely and the location is great for all that the Cape has to offer. We would have no hesitation recommending this house to family or friends. Hopefully we will get the opportunity to revisit Danbury St sometime again in coming years.

Our stay in Cape Cod was magnificent mostly due to the cleanliness of the house and the well-stocked kitchen. We immediately felt at home, and looked forward to the New Year with friends and family. The additional surprise was most pleasant when it began snowing on New Year's Eve. Our teenage kids were almost child-like in their romps in the snow, snowball fights, and building a snowman! We took many pictures, and will have fond memories for years to come. Thank you once again, Alex and Val for one of the best vacations we have taken!

The place was great and well suited for a family of eight. The nearby beaches were beautiful and only about a 12-15 walk. The kitchen was well appointed as were the washer & dryer. It was also nice to have central air conditioning. Would definitely recommend a stay or two.

Dear Val and Alex, your house is great base for a family holiday to the Cape. The house is very close to the Nantucket ferry, whale watching boats and beaches. The house is very comfortably furnished and very well equipped. It makes so easy to entertain a family. House is very spacious - there were 8 of us and we did not fill it. Everybody can find a quiet place in this large house. The location of the house is great too. It is within easy driving distance to Hyannis Main Street and Mall. We had a great variety of shopping, bars and restaurants. In addition we found the whole booking, payment and check in and out process really straightforward and not stressful at all. Alex and Val, We were a little anxious about picking a vacation rental house from the Internet- without seeing the house or knowing anyone who stayed here. Happy to say, everything worked out beautifully and we've enjoyed our stay very much!. All the comforts of home and more! It was great to find everything in perfect condition when we arrived; all we had to do was unpack. We found your private yard and deck very relaxing as well.
