It was planned for months, worked hard, saved lots of money and "Spoil the grand-kids Week" was a blast and the greatest part was after a long day at , Lego Land, a day at Sea World, the Beaches etc, when the day was done we had a beautiful home with all of the amenities to hang out in and rest! The home was clean, nicely decorated, very open space, and the owners were fantastic and very quick to respond when we needed something! This will be the house we rent anytime we come to San Diego. It was close enough to everything and great views! My grandkids sure loved the gumball machine..if you have kids make sure your pocket is full of quarters :)
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Every year, my family and I head to San Diego for a week for Comic Con and after our first year, we realized that hotels were a fools game, and that renting a home was a better deal. This home wasnt a deal, though; this home was a STEAL! The home is even better than the description provided! Located in the moutain area of San Diego, this home is about a 15-20 min drive from pretty much anywhere you want to get to (beaches, SD Zoo, Convention Center, etc.). There are restaurants and grocery stores galore after about a 10 min drive. The home itself is gorgeous! You know that fancy house you always wanted? Well, this is that house. There is plenty of room for lounging about, the back porch overlooks the city in a breathtaking view, and it boasts every amenity needed to make your stay a wonderful one. the home was clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The owner was helpful at every turn, and was very responsive to every question and concern that I had, and this was appreciated. The only "cons" to speak of are more things of personal preference than anything else. For instance, the while there is a tv and dvd player in the living room, there is only a tv in the master bedroom (no dvd player), and the other rooms (including the loft) were without televisions. So, if you have a group here, you kind of have to compromise as to what to watch. Considering that we only spent a few hours during the entire week watching television, this didnt create much of a problem for us. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for an affordable alternative to staying in a hotel. Just dont plan on staying here during Comic Con because I have a feeling that this is our new San Diego home;-)

This house was a great rental for our family of eight, including two young children. It was clean, spacious and much better than renting individual small rooms in a hotel. The house is in a friendly, quiet neighborhood that is close to grocery shopping and the many excursions we took to Sea World, the Zoo, the beaches, La Jolla and Downtown. The deck was a great place to relax, share meals, and watch the many hummingbirds, quail and other birds that visit. It has great views of the valley, especially at night. We would highly recommend this property!
