FALLEN LEAVES ON THE RIVER is a three story, chalet style cabin (built 1998), nestled within an 8500 acre mountain river resort. It is situated in a lush setting on the Coosawattee River in Ellijay, Georgia. And YES !!! This river photo is the front yard !!
Rooms are charming and well appointed. Its hardwood floors and tongue and groove ceilings give you a warm feeling, while its two story stone fireplace provide you with warmth for those cozy nights.
"Fallen Leaves" is great for a romantic getaway for two or a vacation for one or more families to get together. It sleeps up to 14 guests. We welcome church groups.
The kitchen and laundry room are fully-equipped.
We provide all the comforts of home... in fact, please make Fallen Leaves your home during your stay !!!
Enjoy cooking out on the gas grill located on the second story deck, while listening to the rushing waters of the Coosawattee River or while simply admiring all the lush foliage that surrounds you.
The game room is furnished for your enjoyment with a pool table and for the relaxation you so richly deserve, enjoy the bubbling heated spa. The game room takes up the entire first floor & can be used as a third bedroom, as it has a queen size bed & half bath.

We just got back and enjoyed our stay. The teens in the family loved the pool table and hot tub. I enjoyed the fireplace the most and the wonderful food and fellowship with extended family. It was so quiet and secluded, never saw or heard a neighbor. My 7 year old enjoyed getting to swim indoors at the rec center. My mother, who is a recent widow, enjoyed playing board games and sipping hot cider. It was relaxing weekend getaway and all that we expected.

Wonderful "get away" to spend time with loved ones from Michigan. My father, who lived with me for 13 years, recently died and I could "feel him near" as I enjoyed sitting on the banks of the river or sitting/rocking on the 2nd level deck. The "teens" in the group were as mesmerized as the adults and could not wait to return to the cabin in the afternoons after other adventures -- that says a lot!

My husband, two sons, daughter in law and three granddaughters just returned from the most relaxing vacation that we have had in years. The pictures of this cabin just do not do it justice. The river was wonderful, not too cold, not too deep for kids aged 5-10 and beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed and more space than we could use. We loved spending the days in the river, reading, lounging and eating. The evenings we spent in the hot tub and catching fireflies. Took at 3 hour tubing trip on the 4th on the Toccoa River at the Toccoa Valley Campground and would highly recommend that as well. Everything was great and we would definitely go to this cabin again!! Thanks, John, for everything. You have a beautiful place in a beautiful part of Georgia!

I loved this cabin, it is very private and secluded. It had everthing we needed for our stay, Eight of us stayed and there was more than enough room for everyone. Our ages ranged from 11 to 66 and there was something for everyone, we fished in the nearby pond, enjoyed all the activities at the recreation center. The river was beautiful we could hear the river from the balconies. I would recommend this cabin to anyone.

The pictures do not do the cabin justice, The cabin has plenty of room and is fully stocked. No need to bring pillows, sheets, etc. There is a huge linen closet that has everything! Very peaceful and private. The beds and furniture were so cozy and comfortable. Cabin is very clean and neat. The owner John was a pleasure to talk to. I called him at least 15 times with questions and he was always so patient, kind and helpful. He let us arrive early in the morning and checked out late in the afternoon. The view of the river was spectacular! We played in the river, went to the recreation center where we played putt putt, basketball, tennis, arcade games and indoor swimming all part of the rental. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing place to just get away from things. I can't wait to go back!. Thanks John for sharing your cabin with us! We had a wonderful weekend with our family!
