"OUR GULF PLACE"
This clean cheerful 2 bedroom (sleeps 8 in real beds), 2 bath corner unit is on the second floor facing the Gulf of Mexico. It has a large wrap-around balcony with views of the beautiful Gulf waters. The Caribbean building has an elevator, and is appropriately named for its gorgeous landscaping style. Gulf Place Community is outside of the congestion of Destin, but offers easy access to all of Destin's activities.
We are only 7 miles east of San Destin Market and golf resort, and the famous Silver Sands Outlet (one of the country's largest outlet centers). We are also only 7 miles west of Seaside village, and 39 miles from Panama City Florida. The area offers many restaurants, and over 12 magnificent golf courses. Santa Rosa Country Club is adjacent to the Gulf Place Community and is very challenging. In addition, the area offers excellent fishing, a gulfarium, dolphin cruises, snorkeling, scuba diving, and the huge Big Kahuna water park, which offers go-carts, rides, bungee jumping and much much, more.
The unit is very colorful, with 2 sets of french doors opening onto the balcony. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, 2 full beds in the second bedroom, and recessed twin bunks in the hall. We'll give you directions to some of our favorite restaurants with a "kid-friendly" scale and cost guide. Gulf Place guests have complimentary access to 3 large pools (heated in winter), 2 whirlpool spas, 2 tennis courts, chipping green, shaded shuffleboard, and charcoal grills.
The Gulf Place community is very unique. Just steps from your door you will find: Ms. Lucille's Gossip Parlor offering coffee, pastries, and dipped ice cream; several boutiques for casual, elegant, and beach wear clothing; a sandwich shop; Cafe' Sublime, an art deco upscale restaurant; a pharmacy, and a bank. There are nature trails for walking, hiking, jogging, or biking. Also, in the center of the property we have a large, grassy amphitheater with free evening concerts weekly during the summer.
Take a chair, blanket, and cooler to listen to the live music while the kids run and play with the many new friends they will meet. The summer also offers daily supervised "Kids Club" activities each weekday morning. Of course, the most beautiful sugar white sand beaches in the world are just a few yards away and accessed by several private beach boardwalks. Our gorgeous emerald green gulf waters and uncrowded serene views will relax you. You will truly feel like you have had a vacation. Come visit this upscale soothing place soon!
