Well maintained spacious two bedroom condo located in Pocahontas County on the Monongahela National Forest within walking distance of Deer Creek, a premier trout stream. Two miles from the Cass Scenic Railroad and the Greenbrier River. The Greenbrier is popular for canoeing, kayaking and tubing. The Greenbrier River Trail, one of fifty Millineum Legacy Trails, is a popular biking, hiking and horseback riding path extending 78 miles along the Greenbrier from Cass to Lewisburg, WV.
The condo is ten miles from the top of Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort, four miles from the National Radio Astronomy Observatory at Greenbank and is within a short drive to the Historic Durbin Railroad, and Cheat Mountain Salamander Railroad. The Scenic Highway, Cranberry Glades, Beartown, Hills Creek Waterfalls, and Droop Mountain Battlefield are to the South about an hour's drive. To the northeast are Seneca Rocks and Nelson Rocks. Nelson Rocks features a Via Feratta climbing system one of three in the United States. Seneca Caverns, and Dolly Sods are also within an hour's drive to the northeast. Pocahontas County is one of the most popular destinations in the East for motorcycling, mountain biking, skiing and spelunking.
The Snowshoe Mountain Resort in addition to being a premier ski resort hosts many summertime events such as mountain biking races, chili cook-off, West Virginia Philharmonic Orchestra and other numerous popular events. Snowshoe also offers one of the most scenic, unique golf courses in the East, designed by Gary Player, and is approximately twelve miles from Deer Creek Landing. For those days when you might just want to shop, Lewisburg, West Virginia is one and one half hours South and features great shopping with quaint specialty and antique shops.
