Hidden away on the tranquil East End of Grand Cayman on a very large double lot (400') which includes more than 200 feet of private beachfront, Windward Cove is unrivaled in its privacy. Windward Cove in Gun Bay is also now home to a brand new 12' x 25' oceanfront swimming pool and extended Trex deck area. Twenty miles away from the hustle and crowds of the 7 Mile Beach corridor, yet near to all you might need. Windward Cove is very close to Little Fosters grocery store, Thirsty Surfer liquor store & internet cafe, fine restaurants (Portofino's, The Lighthouse, Over The Edge, The Reef, and more), an english coffee shop, and two of the top watersports operations (diving, snorkeling, kitesurfing, etc)in Grand Cayman, one being the famed Ocean Frontiers. The gated front courtyard area finds a myriad of flowering plants and trees to greet your arrival. Our picnic table area sits in the lush zoysia grass, amid the bougainvillea flowers and Christmas palms, and is shaded by a large coconut palm throughout the day. One step through the front door and you are greeted by the large open air great room with vaulted whitewashed cedar ceilings. Four large bedrooms (2 oceanfront, 2 garden view) easily sleep eight adults. Each full bathroom is equipped with a tub & shower, and there is a large half bathroom off the great room. A fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, entertainment center, wireless high speed internet access, (see amenities for full list) to serve all your needs. Central air conditioning and eleven ceiling fans (including one in every bedroom) help keep things cool should the gentle ocean breezes not suffice. Four separate sets of disappearing sliding glass doors make up the back wall of Windward Cove, and open onto a 52' screened-in porch capturing the sunshine, tropical breezes and views from three directions. It brings the whole outside in. Step outside to an elevated Trex deck and you are greeted by a reef protected lagoon that varies in depth from very shallow to 20+ feet out to the reef. Follow the deck down past the pool to the side of the house and you will find a large fully enclosed outdoor shower, with a bench and dry garment area. One step further to the left...the Beach.
There's a reason we have so many beach pictures on our site. We have an awesome beach! In fact, our problem is capturing how great this property actually is on film. Windward Cove boasts over 200' of private deep sugar sand beachfront (no rocks or ironshore), amid shady coconut palm and casuarina trees. You'll also be able to stroll hundreds of yards of additional unpopulated beachfront in either direction. The beach and water at Windward Cove is ideal for all ages (from very young children to older adults) with many shallow pool areas, and even more fun further out. Snorkeling the many coral heads in the waters right out back is a favorite activity for many of our guests, as is swimming in the calm reef protected waters. It's basically all here. If a great beach and ocean environment is important to your group, then your vacation villa search is basically over. You are looking at a hotel sized beach of the highest quality at an ultra private villa. All this at an incredible value!

Thank you for sharing your home with us. We really enjoyed spending our honeymoon here, especially since this end of the island is so quiet. We spent alot more time by the pool than we thought we would, and it was a great asset to our vacation. We enjoyed nightly walks to the dock, and listening to the waves long after the sun went down from the living room. We spent our last day snorkeling with the stingrays at the sandbar, and it was amazing. Your home was very warm and inviting with all the thoughtfulness and personal touches you've put into it. What a place to get away from the snow and cold. Your place is the perfect place to have a blast with six adults and four active boys. We had a great time from sun up to sun down: diving, snorkeling, swimming, walking the beach, and finding shells. We appreciated all the details in your information book. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with our family. We had a wonderful time, and wish we had a week more to enjoy this comfy haven! We enjoyed the pool & the beach on a daily basis. Our son Trey loved the water and thanks for the toys and games! The view was the best you could find on the island! We did alot of relaxing & a tiny bit of sightseeing. The scuba diving was excellent, particularly the night dive at Ocean Frontiers (great recommendation). We even found a local fisherman to pick us up some fish for dinner. We enjoyed our stay at the Villa immensely! The beach is very nice and private and adjacent to the nicest open air swimming pool I have been in. I swam out to the wreck and saw the biggest porcupine fish I have ever seen... its head was as big as a soccer ball! The house has a very enjoyable open layout and was quite comfortable without turning on the air conditioning. Everyone in our group had nothing but praise for the villa and location. I certainly will recommend your villa to friends interested in visiting Grand Cayman and appreciate all the advice and information you provided us prior to our visit. Best Regards, Ken....May 2008
