Consider this beautifully crafted, spacious log home for your vacation rental in the Sun Valley and Ketchum area. Located in Chocolate Gulch, six miles north of Ketchum/Sun Valley, this getaway offers hiking, mountain biking, skiing of all kinds, running, fishing or simple relaxation just out your back door on the trails of the Sawtooth National Forest. You'll also enjoy the small, easy-going neighborhood of gracious homes and the wonderful views in all directions.
After entering through the spacious foyer of this dramatic two-story home, you'll walk into the sunny living and dining areas centered by a beautiful Finnish Tulikivi fireplace. The large open kitchen is modern and well equipped, including espresso maker. Included downstairs is a guest half bath and laundry room.
Upstairs in the main house are two large bedrooms each with their own tile bathroom, desks, TVs and luxury linens. The upstairs bedrooms have handmade queen log beds and covered porches for reading and viewing the yard and mountains.
There is also an attached but completely private apartment off of the main house. The apartment offers kitchen and living area with Italian wood stove, South facing deck and one bedroom and one bath. Windows surround you viewing mountains in all directions. Ideal for some separation within a group for either children, parents, or house guests.
On the east end of the home is a another large new suite with a gorgeous marble bathroom. This space gets wonderful winter sun & has 2 queen beds. This suite has it's own outside double entry & 2 large south facing French doors.
The home comes complete with quality furnishings, including digital cable TVs, DVD player, ,stereo center, copy and fax machine. High speed wireless internet access is available throughout the house. Enjoy the Barbeque on wrap-around covered decks overlooking the spacious yard with aspens, spruce, and occasional wildlife. In the Summer enjoy my vegetable garden. Ski tuning bench for the serious cross country skier also is provided.
This is an environmentally conscious home with recycling, composting, and organic products to complement the wonderful Idaho well water. Other luxuries include radiant heat throughout (including large two-car heated garage) and an outdoor wood fired hot tub.
Staying North of Ketchum/Sun Valley and out of the hustle of the tourist areas makes your holiday special. * $150 per night for the luxury suite, which sleeps up to 4 and includes breakfast
* $300 per night for the upstairs, which includes a full kitchen and three beds
* $650 per night for the entire house, 10 person maximum.
