Been traveling the past few weeks, so this post is a little late. Stayed at this property week of 4/23/12, home was immaculate. In a very quite neighbor hood, appliances and bbq are the best, everything you need to have an enjoyable stay was provided. Got in late, however Richard left very clear instructions on how to operate everything. This was a business trip for me, had a full day of office work that needed to be done. The Internet service was flawless, had plenty of counter space to spread out and work. Used the bbq couple nights, worked perfectly and even had an extra bottle of propane incase attached bottle ran out. Didn’t get chance to meet Richard in person (our schedules just couldn’t match), however he contacted me to be sure everything was as I expected and working to my satisfaction. This home is close to the strip, yet far enough away to get away from the hustle and bustle of all the partiers/vacationers if you want. My deposit refund was sent out same day I left property and was an Money Order. Not that I would expect a check to have problems, however this just goes to show you how much detail and good procedures this owner goes to so as to ensure EveryThing goes Perfect. Would Highly Recommend this home to anyone visiting the Las Vegas area. You Will Not Be Disappointed!

As soon as we found the house - after following the easy directions Richard gave us - we were so thrilled with what a jewel we had to stay in. The neighborhood is pristine and quiet. The house immaculate, beautiful, and included everything we needed. It was like having your own little oasis just outside of Las Vegas. During the two BBQs we had at the house other family members, who did not stay at the house, were envious of what we got to stay in. We would highly recommend this house for a vacation/trip. The fabulous place (at a reasonable price) made our vacation extra special. Thank you to Richard for his professionalism. We look forward to staying there again.

Richard, Thanks for the house. Myself and a couple of friends were in for a convention. This place was so nice and well maintained. Two big living rooms! The kitchen was fully equipped, unlike many vacation rentals. That even had coffee and sugar ready to go. They also had a closet full of games, but no need for that, the casinos are right up the street.

Richard, thanks for the house. The house is fully equipped. Nice quite neighborhood. A short drive to the strip or to a Wal-Mart supercenter. You get exactly what you see on the pics. Very friendly owner! We would definitely stay here again.

We had such a terrific time in Las Vegas and the location of Richards home was perfect. We were down on a golf excursion and didn't want to stay on the strip, although we spent each night there! We felt right at home in a very nice neighbourhood and central to all that we wanted to do. Groceries, restaurants, shopping and major routes were all easy to find. We liked having three rooms (very comfortable beds), laundry and the fully stocked kitchen. We would definitely stay here again. Mike (Canmore, AB)

My 2 sisters and a friend stayed in this beautiful home in January 2012. Having previously stayed in hotels during our travel to vegas, this was our first experience renting a home. We were somewhat nervous going into the online world of vacation planning, but were very pleased we did. What a wonderful experience! Richard quickly responded to all my emails with questions I had on renting a home. Everything you needed was right there. The home was super super clean, beautifully decorated, and all the amenities you could ask for. It was a very quiet, family friendly environment (which we greatly appreciated). Absolutely Perfect!

We stayed over Christmas 2011 and everything was absolutely perfect. Thanks so much Richard and Sandra. From my initial enquiry to the very fast return of my security deposit the whole process was smooth and easy. Richard and Sandra are the best vacation home owners we have ever encountered (and we have rented numerous times in Vegas). They had thought of everything (there were lots of touches in the house that you don't usually see - plenty of loo roll, tissues, kitchen roll, washing liquid etc and even a folding wheelchair, walking stick and baby high chair!) and Richard even posted me the local entertainment listing paper before we flew out. The house was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. Sandra met us when we arrived and showed us around (sorry we were rather dishevelled and jet-lagged!) and we were lucky enough to meet Richard on Christmas Eve when he came to check on the hot tub. A truly charming couple who really care about their guests. We had no cause to bother them while we were there as everything was great and we had no issues at all. The house is in a great location (Pebble/S Maryland) in a nice quiet neighbourhood with plenty of supermarkets nearby. We always stay in this south Vegas area as it is safe with good local amenities and an easy 10 mins to the Strip. The description of the property and the photos are 100% accurate and I now know why the reviews are universally good. My Mum has a big birthday in 2013 and I hope that Richard and Sandra will still be renting this house out as we would definitely stay there again. Thank you for making our Christmas 2011 so great!

A Wonderful Place to Stay

My 2 sisters and I take a vacation to a new place every year. We chose Las Vegas but wanted a place where we could each have our own room. I found this listing and it looked and sounded good. The pictures and description of this home don't do it justice. It was emaculate. Everything was in great shape and it was beautifully decorated Richard stocked it with all the basics including laundry detergent. My family rents homes instead of staying in hotels. I can honestly say that I've not stayed in a home where so much attention was given to details. Richard left the spare keys and garage door opener for us. There was even pen and paper with the phone books. Coffee and tea with condiments was there for us. There was also information on Las Vegas left for us. The whole house was spotless. Pros: Location was very convenient to the Strip. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. There was shopping nearby. The owners were extremely professional and courteous. Cons: There were none. Would we stay there again? DEFINITELY YES. Would we recommend it? DEFINITELY YES. We wish Richard had properties in other parts of the country because we would definitely seek them out as we plan our next adventure. My husband and I have family in Las Vegas, and visit fairly often. Now that we have an infant, we decided to look into a rental home, rather than staying in a hotel or with family. From the very beginning, Richard and Sandra were quickly responsive, and it is clear that the two of them take their rental and its tennants very seriously. The house is clean and is exactly as pictured, the neighborhood is quiet and is not too far from major attractions (if that's what you are into), and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a bonus that they had a high chair and crib too! Highly recommended - we will stay here again.

Great place to stay in Vegas

My wife and I have been vacationing in LV for a number of years and previously have always gone the traditional hotel route, but this year due to the addition of our 1 year old child we felt we needed a bit more space and better facilities and took a chance on renting a property. What an eye opener this has been and made me realise we got it wrong all the previous years. The property was excellent - all the facilities we wanted, comfortable, clean and in a great location. It really is a "home away from home". Having the outdoor seating area was great also. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe - my wife exercises and didn't feel at all threatened running around the block even in the dark. We'll definitely considering renting this same house again when we next return.

A great place to be -- its a Home away from HOME ! Very clean & well- thought of by the owners on what is needed by the guests young & old. A quiet neighborhood. Close to the freeway, the strip & stores. In fact, I asked my best friend who lives in Vegas to check the area. Her old house was few blocks away & she definitely said Yes ! The place is cozy. My youngest who's 4 thought it is our new home & wants to stay there for good !!! We all had a great time. I would highly recommend this beautiful place. Can't wait to be back in Vegas again!

My husband, myself and my four teenagers stayed in this home on our visit to Vegas. We've traveled to Vegas many times and I can assure you that staying in a home is so much more enjoyable than a smoke filled casino---especially when traveling with children. This home was in a very peaceful neighborhood, had every amenity, and was extremely comfortable. The owners have given great care to make sure that every detail is cared for and everything from the beds and linens to the appliances in the kitchen are very good quality. It is beautifully decorated and has all the little extras. We give it our highest recommendation. Although it was not needed for us, the single level living would be a great benefit for anyone who needs it.

Perfect house, perfect choice

If you are looking for a house in Las Vegas this is the house! It was a very positive surprise for my family as the house is a lot better than the photos. Richard is very nice and greeted us very well. The house is very comfortable, clean, well equipped, quiet place and neighborhood. There is a garage for who is traveling by car, an excellent hot tub, clean towels and linens, a complete kitchen and the laundry helped us a lot. There is a videogame perfect for kids. They loved it! We had another experiences during our stay in the US and this was by far the best one. We definitely recommend this house and we hope to be back soon.

Last year we stayed from 6/22/10 for 6 nights and this year we did the same beginning on 6/21/11. Next year we plan to do the same beginning 6/19/12! If you read my 2010 review, nothing has changed except for the some of the improvements I suggested last year. And Richard assurred me that the noisy dishwasher, which actually cleaned fine, will be replaced by our next visit. Richard was very concerned that the hot tub/spa was not working at the time of our arrival but even though we are not hot tub/spa people, it was nice to notice his concern that everything was working right for our stay. You will not find a better rental house and owner but don't bother looking for the last week in June because we plan to come back for many years!

This is the second time I have rented this house. Again no surprises. Clean, quiet. My husband and my sister were able to join me this year. Both were surprised that a rental this lovely was better than a hotel. I was able to meet Sandra this year. Lovely lady. I am telling all my friends and family to rent this house if they are going to Las Vegas. I plan another visit to Vegas next year and hope the house is vacant so I can once again enjoy my stay.

Family stay in Vegas

We were in Vegas for a family reunion. Found Richard's place online and booked it based on all the positive reviews. Well, here is another one! We loved staying here. The home was immaculate and very well-kept. We traveled with our children and having a home to stay at, instead of the Strip, was essential.(The strip was a short drive away with plenty of self-parking at the hotels.) All the basics were provided (laundry soap, hand soap, paper towels, dish soap...). Nice not to have to worry about those basic supplies, unlike at other rentals we have stayed at. We felt safe throughout our time there. Quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend staying here-no regrets!! The hot tub was a bonus in the cool evenings.

Great place this provided a home away from home where us business travellers had a place to relax. Close to the strip and the convention center. Enjoyed the hot tub and fire in the cool evenings. Our vacation was wonderful because the house we rented was much nicer than expected. It was very clean and well supplied with all you need to live comfortably away from home. Richard was quick to answer any questions we had while there, but never interferred with our stay. We have recommended this house to a friend in Vegas who gets visitors and we will most likely return to it if we go on an extened stay again. I also know that Richard and Sandra clean thoroughly after each visitor's stay. It was also very conveniently located. We would highly recommend this home.

Super Bowl Weekend 2011

We were 3 couples looking to spend Super Bowl Weekend in Las Vegas and came across Richard & Sandra's home on the VRBO site. Talk about Luck - the house was extremely comfortable and well equipped. It was convenient to the Las Vegas Strip, airport, shopping & restaurants. The house was clean and tastefully decorated. I would recommend this house when visiting Las Vegas to help make your vacation complete.

Gorgeous Home

A few friends and I rented this lovely home for our retreat. We'd just spent the whole day AND night flying (complete with an emergency landing and rain-soaked luggage) and coming to this home was JUST what we needed to de-stress from the day's events. Richard and Sandra ensured that we felt greeted - with a warm, toasty home to escape from the outside chill and soft music playing in the background! We felt spoilt! lol. I was also amazed by the decor of the home and the architecture. Absolutely beautiful. This home met all of our needs...and more! You certainly get more bang for your buck with this rental. i mean, come on, TWO living rooms each with cable TV, surround sound stereo, a wide genre of CDs and books to select from, TVs in virtually every room, as well as a washer and dryer and enclosed garage - amongst other things!!! (pauses to take a breath) The Soleys were very accomodating, keeping us abreast of upcoming events, while ensuring everyone's privacy was respected. They certainly went beyond the call of duty as landlords and we are so thankful to have rented from them. This home will certainly be our choice for accomodation next time we're in Las Vegas!

We stayed in this home for 6 nights after an initial 3 nights on the Strip having a "big" hotel experience with our kids. We are a family of 4 with two teens. What a wonderful contrast to the cut and thrust of the strip! The home is very comfortable, full of thoughtful and kind features such as the hot tub ready to go, the soap and conditioner supplied washing/drier machine, bath robes (yes yes yes!), plenty of storage and towels, the car so conveniently located to the house, the play station games for the kids. It was a lovely oasis to return to after a day of sightseeing..... We found Richard so gracious and considerate. On our last evening when we were packing our 150 plus pounds of shopping we did at the Outlet stores (!) I asked Richard if he had some scales.......I did not expect him to bring some around if not available in the home, however he did, and his thoughtfulness was appreciated, as yes, we were overloaded! We found the home congrugent with the descriptions, and more.We would highly recommend this home as a peaceful haven to stay in Las Vegas as a base to explore this interesting region. We enjoyed both the outlet shopping ("LV Premium Outlets" the best for shoes and clothes- half of Australian prices), as well as exploring the natural wonders of Red Rock Canyon, Fire Valley, Grand Canyon (did an overnighter there and back) and the engineering triumph of Hoover Dam. Purchasing Fireworks at the Indian Reservation at the turn off to Fire Valley (and lighting them there where it IS legal) was a great hit, as was the inside shooting range at the Gun Shop. The Atomic Testing Museum was interesting but disturbing. We enjoyed the rain, the first for many months apparently, and lucked in with choosing our sightseeing just before the roads closed to the national parks due to flash flooding.All up, a fascinating area and staying in Richards home was wonderful. Thank you. PS A tip if you are returning a hire car and flying out of LV. We did not realise that the car rental return was SOME DISTANCE from the airport, so allow extra time for this. There is a free shuttle from this point, but all up it adds an extra 30 minutes on your exit planning. Give yourself 1.5 hours to include this and get to gate comfortably.

We were very pleased. Richard and Sandra greeted us late in the afternoon on a Sunday. They were very accommodating with our arrival time. Me and my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. There was everything we needed and plenty more. The house is beautifully furnished - and with a hot tub! The strip was easily accessible by car or taxi ($20). Although we were only 10 minutes away from the strip the house is situated in a quiet location. There are plenty of good restaurants near by, and two large supermarkets only a few minutes drive away. We made our own way to the Boulder City airfield (20 mins) where we took a trip on a small airplane to view the Grand Canyon - spectacular. I would definitely book the house again should we visit the area. Thank you to Richard for helping to make our stay a thoroughly enjoyable one.

This is the first time I've rented a home in Vegas. Normally, we stay at a hotel but since we have a toddler now, we thought a rental home would be more appropriate. We made the right decision!! This house is so clean and well-kept. I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in. The landlord has thought of everything! There are 2 living areas with large flat-screen TVs, plenty of room to lounge inside and outside, fully-equipped kitchen, outdoor grill and hot tub, baby crib and highchair, games, movies, and the most luxurious towels. You can get to the Strip in about 15 minutes which was really convenient. The best part was being able to host some dinners for our relatives who were in town as well - we could enjoy ourselves and have drinks without worrying about our baby (who was sleeping soundly in the back guest room). Thanks Richard! We had a blast!

I traveled to Las Vegas with four friends and wanted a reasonable place to lodge. We were fortunate to find this property listed on Home-Away. Even though we arrived late, the owners were able to make provisions for us. The property was absolutely beautiful! It was immaculate, well-maintained and inclusive of all the unique amenities of home. The house was spacious with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. In addition to the large flat screen TV's with playstation, there was a selection of music for our listening enjoyment, video games, board games, movies etc...We also enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor grill. You will not find a better property. The home is located approximately three miles from the strip and within walking distance of several shopping centers. Our neighbors were quiet and frendly. The neighborhood is pristine. I am looking forward to my return trip to Vegas and will definitely book this home again!

Each year we travel to Las Vegas for a hobby convention. Last year and this year, plus the next two years' convention is at the South Point Casino, the closest casino to this house. And getting around town from the house was easy and quick. Richard meet us upon arrival and gave us a quick walk-through. He was very friendly and his tour was very complete. We have found that it is more comfortable and easier to relax in a furnished rental house than in a hotel room. The house was VERY clean; so much so that my wife even commented on it! It had the most complete supplies and furnishings of all the houses we have stayed in to date. I know that we only used a small percentage of the things provided. The current description on this website is exactly as we found it for our stay which was a little different than the pictures when we booked our stay. So, the description, pictures and prior reviews of Richard and Sandra's house were not exactly as advertised, the house was actually BETTER THAN ADVERTISED!!! Parking in the garage, out of the summer sun, was great! An added bonus compared to other places where we have stayed. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby and everything in Las Vegas is pretty easy to get to from the house. The only drawback was a very noisy dishwasher. But once we discovered this, we simply ran it when we left for the day. A couple of small suggestions we made were implemented by Richard and I would be confident that when the dishwasher dies, it will be replaced by a quiet one. We have already decided to return next year and we would HIGHLY recommend others to stay at Richard and Sandra's house!

There were no surprises in this home. Everything is as pictured. Very warm and inviting. Very clean. Good quality cooking utensils and appliances. Plenty of towels were provided. I will strongly recommend this house to friends and family who may be going to Las Vegas. This is a much better alternative to a hotel. I did not visit many restaurants as I prefer to cook my own food, for which this house is well equipped. The owner was at the house daily, without being intrusive. I can truly say this is about the most perfect place to stay while in Las Vegas. Area is very peaceful and quiet.

It even has high end water filter so that you don't need to buy any water from groceries. TVs everywhere, so many areas of the house where you can just sit or lay and rest. Very good...

This vacation rental was everything as advertised and more! It was great to be able to stay in Vegas and not be right next to the strip. We were close to many stores and restaurants, and were able to enjoy our vacation without a other guests around to ruin it for us. There was plenty of room and it was great to have a full-size kitchen in order to save a little money on food. This is a great rental, we would definitely choose to stay here again.

My husband and I and our 2 daughters (22 and 17) stayed at Richard and Sandra's property and found it to be in excellent condition and very clean. All of us commented on the nice aroma when we walked through the doors. This was our first visit to Vegas and Richard was kind enough to mail us an entertainment guide so we could explore what we wanted to do before arriving. We also received our deposit within 4 days of arriving home! We all enjoyed the hot tub and their grill was in great condition! With only 10' from the strip and 5' from grocery stores it was an excellent choice. I would highly recomment and we would definitley consider staying at Richard and Sandra's again!

Excellent Value and Close to Everything

This house offers all of the comforts of home at an excellent price. The 6 of us in our party were very comfortable and Richard was always available for anything we might need. After a busy day at the Strip , it was nice to come home to a hot tub and relax. Major restaurants and grocery stores are close for your convenience. Why would you stay at a hotel ?

What a great house to stay in. We were totally satisfied with our stay. Richard and Sandra made us feel right at home as soon as we got there. Everything was provided and it was like being at home. Why anyone would stay at a hotel is beyond me. The hot tub was great and the house was really close to the vegas strip. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to have a great stay in Vegas Thanks to Richard and Sandra for helping us out when we were not able to leave due to the snowstorm that closed the Pittsburgh airport and allowed us to stay another 3 days. Where do we start? The pictures on the page don't do this warm, wonderfully appointed house full justice. The rooms are exactly as described, only so so much more beautiful. Richard and Sandra's home is beautifully decorated, very clean and well maintained and as most of the other reviewers have said, they have indeed thought of everything. It's in a safe neighbourhood and we didn't feel worried returning home late in the evening. It was lovely having two living rooms as it meant that I could watch all my 'girlie' programmes in one room and hubby could watch all the sports and news he wanted. Pure bliss! The weather in December wasn't quite warm - more like spring weather in the UK so we didn't use the outdoor grill but we will when we return. Yes, we loved our stay here that much that we do hope to return! Richard was a truly gracious host - excellent customer service. We had to re-arrange some of our car rental details when we arrived at the airport and this meant that we got to the home about half an hour late. Richard was very patient and I was feeling terrible as we had kept him waiting but he was very understanding. We found him to be very warm and easy to talk to - any request is quickly taken care of. Although he also lives in Las Vegas, we didn't see him at all during our stay - he really left us to enjoy the home and it was nice to know that he was only a telephone call away should we need help with anything in the home. In a nutshell- stop looking at other houses and book this one! It was our first time to book a holiday home and I'm so glad we chose this one. The whole process from start to finish was smooth, quick and uncomplicated. If you book this house, you won't regret it and you'll really enjoy Las Vegas from this base. It's quite central, not far from the strip and the major motorway that links you to all the other tourist attractions. Grocery nearby and Richard provides you with discount vouchers, take away menus, a guide of what's on in Vegas so you can plan what shows you'd like to see. We are really glad to have stayed here.

Stayed in this residence for 4 days over the 2009 ThanksGiving Holiday and had a wonderfull experience. Met my daughter in from college...BYU...Go Cougars!! No surprises. If you want to stay in Vegas and not on the strip this is the best way to go. Especially if you have a large family. Owner walked us thru the house and explaned throughly the operation. Close enough to the strip (10 Minutes) yet far enough to be quiet. We will stay here again when I come back for business or vacationing. Thanks again!

Mother's 80th Birthday/Family Reunion

We stayed in this beautiful house to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday and to have a family reunion. We traveled from Oregon, Alaska, South Carolina, and Idaho. What a wonderful surprise the home was! It is beautifully furnished, very clean, and has all the most modern conveniences. We appreciated the cupboards stocked with coffee, teas, sweeteners, and paper products. Richard thought of everything we could need! We also appreciated the directions to supermarkets and restaurants. The hot tub was a welcome relief to our weary feet after a day of walking around on the strip!
