We are distributors for Barna Log Homes in Western Ky. And it seemed obvious to use our models for vacation rentals too. They are very popular to those desiring more information about owning their own log home. Ultimately we would like to have as many as 10 cabins and make this a retreat center. It would be perfect fit with our retirement years...
Why the Owner Chose Cadiz
It is perfect for our present and future uses - 16 acres, wooded, stream (sometimes!) near the state park and easy to get to. The property screamed for vacation log cabins!
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Retreat in the woods setting. Many times we rent to the families wanting to spend quality time together and we can accomodate them. With the State Park and Land Between the Lakes so close, it is a natural for those wanting to enjoy western Kentucky water and land.

The photos did not let us down. The Hare's Ear was so inviting, clean and spotless. We really didn't have to bring anything from home, they seemed to have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. And the owners were so welcoming, we felt like we made instant friends. They let us know where to shop and eat. It was a great place to come "home" to after long days of hiking at Land Between The Lakes. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Brand new! Clean and adorable. The log cabin furniture just set it off. We fished in a tournament at Lake Barkely State Park, and then enjoyed the area. Lots of antique shops in Cadiz. Have booked for next tournamment.

I had watched the cabins being build earlier in the spring and just had to come back to see them finished. The peace and quiet of the area was a welcome respite. No phones, no tv and no hussle bussle. Will be back to later when the second cabin is built. LOVED IT!
