Surf City -Charming Bayside Cape Cod- Recently Renovated

  30 years on LBI, four years in this house ... great landlord, great Surf City location, quiet street, plenty of on and off street parking, storage for bikes, chairs, surfboards, half block to the library, easy and quick access to the causeway, one block to grocery store, couple of blocks to CVS. This is not a North Beach Mcmansion, rather a well equipped, well maintained, clean, well applianced, air conditioned LBI single family cape that easily accommodates eight or nine people. Owner's photos represent the property honesty. Kitchen is adequately equipped, has new appliances and is reasonably roomy... offers a full dining area for eight people as well as a breakfast bar. Hardwood floors in LR and DR and two first floor bedrooms...recently painted... upstairs bedrooms are particularly roomy, carpeted, equipped with queen beds and one has an extra TV. Upstairs bathroom has been updated and both bathrooms are clean and spacious with windows. Yard is maintained with sandy pebbles and walkways ... Backyard patio is private, equipped with table and chairs and is great for game playing or dining. Grill is included. First floor includes full laundry. Landlord has been accommodating to us from the beginning, appreciates returning guests and maintains the property in a manner that respects his renters. Lease is straight forward and security deposit returned without any complications .. Nothing here is luxurious, but the price is fair ...the location is great and the property is maintained... we keep coming back ... Surf City is a great multi generational family vacation spot... on North side of island ... not as exclusive as Loveladies, but not as crowded as Beach Haven .. nothing on the island is particularly commercial ... small, independent shops for ice cream, mini golf or bagels... Most of the homes in this area are single family and many are owner occupied. Beach itself is wide and beautiful and tended by lifeguards. If you need oceanfront you'll pay $5,000 and up ... bring linens, an umbrella, beach chairs, your surfboard and a bike ... owner supplies beach badges... sunsets are glorious, waves are super and ocean temp is usually 70-75 ... great stuff ... we're coming back again ... ML

  We have rented this house 4 times and it is PERFECT! It's close to the bay for amazing sunsets, only 2 blocks to the beach (the island is very narrow on this block so you are close to both), there are plenty of stores, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. PLUS Surf City pizza has the BEST pizza on the island! The bedrooms are roomy, the patio out back is great and the house has everything you need! It's not the Taj Mahal but it is clean, reasonably priced, has a GREAT LOCATION and the owner is responsive and very easy to deal with! See you next year!

I agree that the house is very comfortable and glad yor have enjoyed it. There is no place better Surf City for a great family vacation.

  We rented this property 2011-07-30 / 2011-08-06. Our party included 4 adults and 2 kids. Everything was as described by the owner, no surprise. The house is even better than what you see on the pictures. It is clean and has everything you need for a confortable stay. The location is perfect, a 5 minutes walk to the wondeful beach of LBI. The owner is very easy to reach and deal with. Deposit was returned as mentionned by the owner. It was our fisrt time in LBI and I can't wait to go back. Thanks.

  Owner was easy and a pleasure to work with. Very professional and responsive. The home is in a very convenient location to the beach, library, school (with playground), convenient store and local shops. Very quiet neighborhood. Short walk to a beautiful beach. Everything worked properly in the home, and there was more room than we needed. Very comfortable furniture and layout. I would definately recommend the home to friends or relatives.

  We have been renting this property for the last 3 years, and we love it. It's clean, roomy, cool, and inviting. Only 2 blocks from the beach, which gives us some exercise there and back. Parking in front of the house is really easy, since the there are no houses across the street The 2 full baths is a real plus. We can't wait to be back there!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
