Enjoyed a most peaceful get away in the comforts of this mountain home. The local golf course options and play was outstanding. Easy to relax in this household's rich, soft furniture and kitchen amenities. Kudo's on the hot tub. The price was right for our large group.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family stayed at the cabin in January right after Beech Mountain received 3 HUGE snowfalls. Even with 4WD vehicles, we were concerned that we might not make it to the cabin. However, with 19" of fresh snow on the ground, the road to Beech Mountain and the cabin were clear, sanded, and packed. No issues at all! The best feature of the cabin was the well-equipped kitchen which had everything we needed. We're a big family and LOVE to cook, so we made ourselves at home and unpacked 5 days worth of groceries! The hot tub was used in abundance and the kids loved the sleds! Only negatives worth noting would be that the downstairs shower in the second master bathroom leaked due to the door not closing all the way, and the thermostat in the second master was not as hot as the others. We had it turned up, but the room stayed cool. Other than those items, this is a wonderful place!

Our family rented the cabin for the week after Christmas and it was perfect, cozy and accessible without being so fancy you are afraid to touch anything. The cabin is set-up to accomodate a large group comfortably. We had 8 people in our party and everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in. The basement provided a great area for the kids to flop if they wanted to get away from the parents and the loft is a charming little space that was perfect for games. The kitchen / dinning area was awesome. I loved eating our meals at the big farm table. Well appointed kitchen and George even provides a crock-pot which made meals a snap. Be sure to order your firewood ahead of time if you go in the winter. The fire place is large and we relaxed in front of it almost every night. Trying to accomodate our 5 kids can be a challenge and this house fit the bill. Beech Mtn is charming and the people were very nice, good fishing, skiing, skating, sledding etc are very close. We never lacked for things to do. We wiill be staying here again.

The pictures of this home do not do it justice! WOW! Was all I could say when we opened the front door and entered this wonderful home! Our week stay was made perfect by having this beautifully decorated home to use. Fabulous location - minutes from waterfalls, pool, tennis, everything our family needed. This spacious home catered to every need we had - a well stocked kitchen so that cooking was easy for our family! We entered the home to find a cool breeze blowing through as the windows as been recently opened. Ice was stocked in the freezer as well with the trays prepared with more. Talk about the little extras! The very first day we came back from the pool to find 3 deer in the front yard. That was just the beginning of our deer encounters. Several days we walked out to see at least 2 deer nearby! How great that was for the kids! I HIGHLY recommend staying in this home. The owner was more than welcoming to us, answering emails and phone calls very promptly and friendly! Highly highly recommend it!

My family and I stayed here and skied. We had a wonderful time. My children had snowball fights, built snow men, and made snow angels. We had a wonderful time. RENT THIS CABIN!!!

The house was more than we expected. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in and saw the decor. The kitchen had everything we needed (except a crock pot). No need to go a restaurant, we bought groceries in Banner Elk which was just down the road a ways and ate every meal at the house. The table was big enough for all 7 of us. The fireplaces were beautiful and cozy. (Bring matches because we could not find any and are none smokers)The first morning we woke up, looked out the sliders and saw 7 deer in the back yard than we saw more crossing the street. We observed more than 20 deer that morning. The back porch was perfect. We could sit there quietly and watch. We got some great pictures. We went tubing, sledding, snowboarding and skiing. Everything was so close. The beds were comfortable and the comforters were awesome. We will definitely come back. Thank you George for caring enough about our comfort to keep the house in such good shape.

I've had the opportunity to stay at this great home during summer and winter. The house is clean and fresh, not that musty smell that some vacation homes have. I love that it has a little place for everyone so that you don't feel like you are all on top of each other.My only hesitation in recommending it to others is that it may be booked when I need it. Thanks for the fantastic memories.

What a great time! We skated, road sleds, camped out, built great fires and went in the hot tub in below 0 temps!! Did I mention we had a great time?!? The house is very cozy and functional. The furniture was very nice and we all had a great time eating big breakfasts and playing UNO at the kitchen table. It was very cozy. The fireplaces are very nice and great to snuggle to. The beds were some of teh best we have stayed in at a vaction home (go to the beach at least once a year) and the sheets and comfortators were just as great. The upstiars master bath is awesome. And it was very nice to have the hot tub just outside the back door. House is very conveinent to the slopes, restaurants and sledding at the golf course. We look foward to coming back in years to come. Oh yeah, we saw deer run through the yard too!!
