  We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival! The house has a great flow to it. Perfect fit for our family of 3. Super private almost jungle setting overlooking the bustling harbor of Charlotte Amalie- a very unique contrast. Something that must be seen in person.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  This house could not have been more perfect. The view from the screened in porch was breath taking. The house is very open. We were able to watch the cruises come in while laying in bed. The house is both appropriate for honeymooners to a small family. On the covered porch, there are two futons in which take in the nice breeze at night. This house allows access to a private beach. This beach was absolutely beautiful. The house comes with a golf cart. This makes the trip much more convenient to travel to the beaches. The house was very spacious for its size. The bathroom was quite large and the porched made the house feel much larger. The house was nicely furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable. A hotel could not compare to this house! The island had breath taking beaches and clear ocean water. The bar and grille was a great place to grab a bite to eat. Monday's are a great day to make your way to the beach because they have a movie on the beach. The island was the exact vacation I dreamed of. I plan to vacation here every year.

  Absolutely amazing place to get away for a long weekend or longer. There are beautiful beaches all over the island to spend your days in the sun. Water island is also extremely close to St. Thomas if you want to go shopping or scuba diving etc. and also close enough to St. John if you want to go exploring. With this being said there is much to do on the island and everyone you meet is very friendly and helpful. The cottage has an amazing view of the blue water surrounding the island and is open for you to enjoy the fresh air in the morning and evening alike. I would recommend this place to couples looking to get away from the everyday grind.

  I have one word for you. AMAZING! This place is the best. When we arrived I was astounded to how clean and bright and beautiful this cottage was. The ferry schedule was a little different to get used to but we spent most of our time on water island. We were prepared for how much the food cost was over there but we made it work. I highly recommend dinning with heidi on the beach. She cooks THE best steaks. she would do texas proud. I have reccomended this place to my friends and we are looking forward to returning. YOU MUST RENT THIS PLACE!!

  My friends and I celebrated our 60th birthdays at Palm Cottage and found it to be the perfect artist's retreat. We loaded the golf cart every morning with paints and cameras and away we went! The weather was amazing and the views were beathtaking.....I still miss my futon on the lovely screened porch and falling to sleep with the cricket serenade while moonlit palms swished overhead. ,

  Owner response: Beautiful scenary is everywhere on Water Island--esp in Sprat Bay Estates. Those "crickets" were tree frogs. They "sing" most the night--lovely.

  This was our second year coming to Water Island and each time we fall more in love with the island. We had such a wonderful time at the Palm Cottage. We loved the open feel with the enormous screened in porch, it provided a great cool breeze all day long. The cottage had everything that we needed- plenty of pots and pans, gas grill, lots of towels,extra bedding and beach chairs. It was very clean and nicely decorated The cottage was also so private and had a wonderful view. We had fun exploring Sprat and other little beaches on that side of the island. And of course Honeymoon beach is fantastic. I am always sad to leave Water Island, but we look forward to returning to Palm Cottage next year. Thanks so much, Sonja and Josh Bauer

  Three of us just spent a week at Palm Cottage and never was I more sad to leave a vacation. Not only was the cottage comfortable, clean and private - the entire island was amazing. We really enjoyed the screened porch area with a great view of St. Thomas. We watched cruise ships come and go, sunsets and the moonrises. Two of us slept on the futons on the porch - just like sleeping outside. We enjoyed Sprat Beach and Honeymoon Beach, each with their own beauty. If ever one wanted a white sand, palm trees, warm tropical breezes, seashell covered beach kind of vacation, this is the place! We found the natives to be most friendly and really enjoyed Heidi's beach cooking and drive in movie. Saw lots of wildlife - iguanas and turtles. Lots of flowers in bloom. The view from the bunker was 360 degrees of beautiful. Came home to northern California cold and rain and asked myself why I didn't just stay on Water Island. :)

  I have visited Water Island with my husband four times over the last several years. I came upon it surfing the internet. Looking for a quiet peaceful place to vacation. I saw a rental for Palm Cottage! I made the best choice ever! Palm Cottage is a very unique place. Surrounded by beautiful palm trees, wildlife and it sits in the midst of so much foliage you can't even see another house or cottage around you. Sitting out on the screened in porch in the evenings, seeing St. Thomas across the way beautifully lit up is breathtaking. Watching the sunrises and sunsets is so romantic! I would never stay anywhere else when I visit. The property owner has always made sure that our visit was everything we had hoped it would be. Clean, well decorated and just the best place to stay! The beaches are gorgeous, The movies on Honey moon beach are fun. You can swim, fish, snorkel or just read a good book on the beach. Palm Cottage is our Paradise and I would recommend it very highly to anyone looking for a great vacation. Diane A. 9/23/2011

  The most special place I have every visited. Beautiful house, beautiful island. I cannot wait to go back. Great views, very clean and comfortable.

  Palm Cottage exceeded our every expectation. It was very private, had great views, and was very comfortable. The house sits amoung the palms. I felt as if I was in a tree house overlooking the blue caribbean sea. We had a wonderful time exploring all the beaches in Sprat including the ship wreck. The fort was especially great a night for views of the stars. Water Island is a special place. Palm Cottage is the most romantic house on the island.
