My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in June, and had a great time. This was our third visit to Hocking Hills and our first at Willis Ridge. The cabin was immaculate -- clean and well-appointed. These owners left no stone unturned in their effort to supply all the extras, right down to music playing in the cabin when we arrived -- a very nice touch! The hot tub with this property is much nicer than most we've seen in Hocking Hills cabins. We hiked every park in the area, and most-enjoy Conkle's Hollow; a must-see for everyone, although the faint-of-heart may want to stay on the lower trail rather than the upper ridge trail. The owners of this property were very helpful and accommodating while we were booking our getaway. If there was anything we would change about this property, we would make it more remote. Even though there is a long private drive leading to the cabin, you can still hear the surrounding neighbors a little. But we would not hesitate to return, and certainly we recommend this beautiful property to anyone visiting the area. Super-clean, super-plush, and super-relaxing. ENJOY!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I'll qualify my review to say we've rented many vacation properties. This one is among the tops in terms of its amenities - the owners really have tried to include anything you could need to stay on site, from spices/condiments (even packets of Kool Aid & cocoa!) to a disposable razor if you forgot one. And the decor/interior is much brighter and nicer than the web photos portray. We were there on a wet cool weekend & enjoyed the wide front and back porches which kept us dry while enjoying the glider or in the hot-tub. The gas stove was nice, too - didn't need the central AC/heat although that's available. A family w/ 1-2 kids could make this work with the kids sharing the queen sofa bed (we did). There was no TV reception (no problem for us) but you can watch DVDs (yours or theirs). The gravel road in is well maintained by year-round residents - getting in shouldn't be a problem. Once you drive up to the cabin, it really is peaceful and secluded - definitely private if that's what you're looking for. We saw and heard lots of birds in all the trees. Convenient to all the Hocking sites & Logan, even Chillicothe isn't too far if you needed "big box" stores/restaurants, although hopefully you will prefer the peaceful getaway. We sure did.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you soooo much for that great review. Wow! Your kind words mean more to us than you could know.

My husband and I stayed at the Willis Ridge Cabin for our 5 year anniversary. We couldn't have selected a more beautiful, secluded place to stay. The cabin was clean, nicely decorated, and the owners have stocked the kitchen with everything you could possible need. In addition, the large back patio and hot tub were a definite plus! Would highly recommend this cabin for a romantic getaway.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

This property is very clean and well supplied. It is well suited to the "Romantic" escape that is advertised, and it also worked well for two Bird-Watchers touring the Hocking Hills Birding Trail. Be advised, however, that you may want to bring your own drinking water, as the supply for this cabin smells and tastes strongly of sulphur.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: We thank you for your kind words.. We are aware of the sulfur odor in the water. Unfortunately that is common in the Hocking Hills area. We are in the process of installing a water softener and hopefully that will help

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin, and my Mazdaspeed 6 with sport tires and all (ie NOT a snow car) didn't really have too much of a problem with the 4" of snow that we got on Saturday... a nice surprise! We enjoyed the quiet, and the furnishings were fantastic. Plus, when going through the drawers, etc., it seemed like we said time and time again, "they thought of everything!" Thanks again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much for the nice review. So glad you enjoyed your stay. Makes all of our hard work worth while. You guys are awesome guests!

A romantic and relaxing cabin it is. If you are looking to get away, unplug and relax this is the place. The cabin is nestled in the woods with a private deck and hot tub butting against nature. My wife and I enjoyed our early anniversary weekend and only wish we could have had more time here. The cabin was clean and supplied with everything you need and close enough to Laurelville for any other wants. We would highly recommend and certainly hope to return.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We liked the looks of this cabin on-line, but when we arrived, it was even better than we had expected. The cabin was so homey and charming, and the outside was beautiful and private. We did like being so close to town for any unexpected shopping, but it was truly in the country. The cabin was such a short drive to all of the areas we wanted to visit in Hocking Hills, but not in a busy area. The owners' attention to every little detail was appreciated. The owner was helpful with all of our needs, and I was glad we didn't bring our 4-wheel drive car--the road was fine without it. We sat on the deck 'till the last minute--hated to leave. Thanks for a great week.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Awesome Cabin with cozy layout. Off the main drag, but not too far from town. Everything we needed was there and more! We only missed having TV for a football game, but watched at a BBQ joint.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: So glad you enjoyed your stay. We always try to make our cabin a place everyone wants to come back to. Just so everyone knows out there, we do have a TV in the cabin, just not Satellite. It was going to be too many trees to cut down and then we wouldn't get the privacy we like!

Why the Owner Chose Hocking Hills:
We love this location because it has the best of both worlds. It is very private and quiet. Off the main road but if you need groceries, gas, or want to eat out, Laurelville is only 3 miles away.
All the state park attractions are only about 10 minutes away.
