This was the perfect get away location for me to take a group of young leaders to brainstorm and plan for an upcoming event. The listing provided an accurate description regarding the location. The property was clean and well-maintained. The owners provided excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative. We didn't leave the property during our stay due to unforeseen vehicle trouble, so we don't have an opinion regarding the activities, attractions, and restaurants in the area. This place had everything at your fingertips, they truely thought of everything even fry pans! Frank and Cindy were so nice and easy to work with! The hot tub was amazing. Plenty of sleeping areas and conveiently located near JF/BB and other attractions.

This is my second time renting from Frank and Cindy, and the experience has been fantastic both times! We rent in Arrowhead Lake every year for Thanksgiving and have rented two different properties from Frank and Cindy. Both homes were in perfect condition with everything well planned and cared for. The rental process was extremely easy, and their kindness and professionalism is greatly appreciated! We stayed at Pax-Haven for a week with our two year old and boston terrier. This was our first family vacation and it was so nice! It was a nice place to get away from our busy schedule and relax. Frank and Cindy were helpful with our questions in the beginning and it was nice that they supplied everything we needed to have a nice visit. We took lots of walks, went swimming and canoeing. There was a lot to keep our son busy with all the different play grounds, pools and beaches. We would stay here again if going to the poconos!

My husband and I stayed at Pax Haven in June. We had a great time! We had our 2 yr old daughter with us and our lab. Plus a bunch of family members up through out the week. Frank was very accomadating to me when I needed to switch a car and add a couple of people to the gate list. The house has all the ammenities. The hot tub was wonderful! We spent time at the Island Pool, which was great! The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the TV in the living room flickered alot, so it made watching shows a little annoying. But other than that, the whole week was awesome! Frank and Cindy are super nice and got back to us real quick if we had any questions. Definitely recommend this place!

Owner response:It's great when our guests let us know about any issues with Pax-Haven! After talking with Michelle, and hearing the HDTV was not functioning properly, we replaced it, so no more issues like that!

So a groupd of my friennds and I decided we wanted to go skiing for the first time. I look all over the net for a great place to book a rental that is close to the mountain and can also accomodate 10 people. I find this listing and from the moment I contacted Frank & Cindy I could tell I was dealing with good people. They were prompt in their response and thorough in providing information about the rental, the area, and the costs. I can not understate how much piece of mind we felt once we got to the cabin and everything was exectly as advertised. We had a great weekend of skiing and snowboarding at Big Boulder and we enjoyed cooking and playing games in the house. Thank you once again Frank & Cindy for being really good honest people.

What a great experience my group and I had at Pax-Haven, even starting from the booking process with Frank. This house was clean, cozy, and so convenient. This house was located exactly where I wanted to be, 15 mins to Jack frost, Big Boulder, H20000 waterpark in split rock, and of course Shenanigans in Lake Harmony. I can't believe how lucky I got finding this place, and a such an affordable price. Also, there was 3 things I was really hoping to get as a bonus when looking for a Pocanos vacation property: Fireplace, hot tub, and pet friendly... This house had all 3!! I would definitely recommend this house to others.. But much rather keep it as my little secret. Thanks Frank and Cindy!

We brought the whole family along on our vacation, Grandbaby and beagle. The house was wonderful. We had a great time and would recomend this rental to everyone. We went on day trips for sighseeing and also enjoyed staying on the property for lazy days at the pool.

This house was wonderful for our family - three generations, including 5 teenage boys, spent a week very happy in the mountains. Our two dogs were quite comfortable too. The home was immaculate and had all the basic necessities we needed, so we were able to focus on the fabulous food we made in the full kitchen and on the huge grill. The hot tub was wonderful and just the extra ticket to make sure the vacation was a relaxing one. Being within walking distance to the lake, beach and a pool was perfect - we all took advantage of them. I highly recommend staying here, and the owners have been wonderful throughout the whole process, from first inquiry to the end. Their attention to detail ensured our successful vacation.

My girlfriends and I stayed here for 4 days and it was very comfortable and relaxing and only minutes from Big Boulder and Jack Frost Mountains. Frank and Cindy were very nice and they communicated wel l with me in getting this vacation set up so that it was easy to get settled in the day we arrived. The house was beautiful and very well kept. If you're looking to relax this is the place to go!!!

a cozy stay in Arrowhead Lakes

There was 9 of us who stayed here and we all loved every second of it. All of the ammentities it provided like the toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and so on made our stay even more relaxing becuase we did not need to get much of anything except food. The hot tub was a nice treat after long days of snowboarding. The home was cozy, the bedrooms were of nice size, and you felt at home. My friends and I can not wait to come back!! Frank and Cindy maintain their house and keep it in top condition. Thank you for sharing your home and allowing us to have a great get-away weekend!

Perfect New Years Eve 2008

This house works just as well for a romantic getaway for 2 with the fireplace and the jacuzzi, as for a family of 4-6 with the big screen tv, cable and snow resorts (Jack Frost and Big Boulder) within 15-20 min away. We were 8 friends (4 couples) from NC who wanted to get together over New Years and do some skiing, and this house worked out perfectly for us, even if it got a bit crowded at times. It is best suited for 2-6 adults, considering the sizes of the beds and the kitchen table (seats 6). It has a nice, well equipped kitchen were we cooked our dinners and the jacuzzi got used almost every night. The house was very clean, and the owners were service minded and friendly. Overall it was a great experience; we can highly recommend it and would definitely consider coming back again.

A little slice of haven...

Our objective was to get out of the city for a few days of extreme relaxation and Frank and Cindy's place provided a perfect comfort zone. The back of the house faces endless woods and the sparkling hot-tub was the perfect vantage point during the day. At night, pitch-black skies and a brilliant Milky-Way blanketed the quiet air. When it got chilly, a flick of a single switch brought the gas fireplace to life. There was even a laminated sheet on how to work the TV/Cable/Tuner/CD player (and we all know how complicated other people's systems can be)! The guest packet F&C provided had all the information we needed to arrive, depart, and everything to do in between. The Wawa gift card was sweet as can be and of course we stopped on the drive in. The property smelled fresh and looked very well maintained. Everything was sparkling clean when we arrived (and when we left!). The only reason I would hesitate to recommend this property to a friend is if they were going to book on a weekend we wanted! Our experience was so positive that I see no reason to look for anyplace else. - Jay & Jenny

I just want to say *thank you* so much for renting your place for us for the labor weekend! It was great! Your house is wonderful, and has everything we needed! This house is full equip and we really like that. Is not our first time renting, so we have pretty good comparison. That was our first time we were extremely surprised. Looks like you really care about every single detail, house is really warm and let us feel like our home. Did I mentioned about hot tub? We had awesome time in, very relaxing and this quiet and birds! And all this for one reasonable price! Really worth it!

I rented this house over Memorial Day Weekend and have since rented in a few other states this summer. This was hands down the best house. Owner's take such care in the small things like a great stereo and wireless internet connections. House was immaculately clean and had every supply you would ever need from paper towels to a second propane tank.

Everything was great. The owner really tries to please and provide good service. The property is at the edge, and the peace and quite of the neighbouring woods from the back deck is what I will remember the most. The kids enjoyed being close to the pool & tennis courts

The house was in excellent condition. The owner was great. I've rented for 6 years in Poconos communities and never seen such a great owner. He did everything - installed hi-speed internet and IP phone, provided linen for all beds and kitchen/bathroom supplies, bought new blankets, etc. Thanks so much!
