My mother rented this for our family reunion, 2 other homes were rented, one the same street and one on the street directly behind this home. This home was not only the best one and the cleanest...it was also the least expensive! I have young children, so cleanliness is most important to me, I was truly impressed. We will try to reserve this home EVERY TIME we return, from now on.

We stayed here and enjoyed boating, hiking, horseback riding, and great food in town at night- wonderful location right by the lake and close to the beach! Our experience at this place was outstanding in every aspect. The home was as beautiful as or better than the pictures on the internet (rare case) and exceeded our expectations. The hot tub was wonderful after a day at the beach, and would also be great after a day on the slopes. The owners are exceptionally nice and helpful. The location is ideal for summer activities as well as winter. We were able to enjoy the nearby bike path with the kids. The kids also enjoyed the game room and spent hours doing there own thing. Spending a week at this place was one of the most relaxing and fun for the family experiences ever. We will be back!!!!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful Cabin/House. It was all and more than we expected. We stayed for a week and had the best time we've had in a long time. The house is completly fitted with everything we could have asked for and more. The kitchen is fully stocked. We loved the comforts of the beds and couches! Comfy, comfy, comfy. The deck is awesome! We really enjoyed the personal touches and the decor. We felt as if we were in a very nice families home. Also, the neighborhood is wonderful, with very friendly neighbors, kids and dogs. We can't wait to get back!!!! Thank you.

This house is so comfortable. As soon as I walked through the door I felt relief. It is such a warm cabin-you feel like you have arrived at your home away from home. The owner is a sweetheart and very helpful and can make great recommedations. The place is immaculate and beautifully maintained. The living room is great to kick up your feet, switch on a fire, and watch a movie. There is a great table in the dining area where everyone can gather around and play cards, dice, or board games. The kitchen is so fun to cook in and the open floor plan ensures that the cook or clean up crew isn't missing out on all the fun. There is a great breakfast bar- great place to keep the cook company. Master bedroom and bathroom are spacious and gorgeous. The downstairs bedrooms are just as nice and comfortable. There is also a nice living area downstairs with a comfy futon if someone needs space from all the activity upstairs. The backyard is just as fun- hot tob, barbeque, bocci ball court, hamock, nice patio furniture to enjoy an out door meal. At the end of the street is the forest so you can walk down there for some more beautiful scenery and have a good snowball fight. Family owns the house across the street so if you have a big group you can rent both houses which is great. Everything you may need is close by, but I am telling you if you bring all your groceries you will be tempted not to leave your entire stay!

WOW! What a great place! Have you ever traveled with your family and friends and wanted to stay somewhere that made sense for the group? This vacation home was that and then some. It was definitely clean, roomy, modern and bright, tastefully decorated yet comfortable, has all the amenities of home--and even better; how many people have a Bocce Ball court at home! The kitchen was great, well stocked and spacious for our group. This place seems to be very well cared for and has a genuinely warm character and ambiance. You absolutely know you are in a well cared for home versus a hotel/motel room. The owner has done a fantastic job of making the place feel welcoming and inviting without being too personal--let's face it, when renting a vacation home you don't want to constantly be reminded that it is not yours to enjoy for the time being and that you are not invading someone else’s space. We really enjoyed relaxing in the home, as well as outdoors on the two most accommodating decks, playing Bocce Ball in the backyard, dipping in the hot tub, walking the nearby forestry trails, and riding bicycles down to Camp Richardson/The Beacon. Camp Richardson and The Beacon are two of my all-time South Lake Tahoe recommends...both are great spots to see and experience and offer something for everyone. If you are at all like me and visit Tahoe for its natural beauty, great atmosphere, and want to stay in a home so as to get a feel for how some of the locals live, this spot definitely fulfills! If you visit South Lake Tahoe for the night life and gambling spots, they are a short drive away--albeit a drive. This place is also conveniently located to local markets, shopping areas, and some of South Lake Tahoe's best eateries/pubs. To sum it up, this vacation home is moderately priced--a bargain really--and a definite recommend! We will most certainly be back. Can’t wait to hike some of the awesome local trails and return to this comfortable and accommodating spot; maybe even soak in the hot tub or private Jacuzzi tub. I am so looking forward to our next stay here!

My husband and I were married in Tahoe in May. We stayed here with some of our wedding party and we had a blast. Our parents stayed across the street and we all got together for our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding. The house is so inviting and great for groups of people. The owners were nice enough to help us with local information on vendors, etc. We will continue to go back to this wonderful cabin and already booked it in August. Thank you Toni!!!

This place is has held a special place in our families heart. We go both in the winter and in the summer. We just recently returned this spring and had a lovely time. The fire place and the comfy couch make us feel like we are truly on vacation. It is great for families, as we have the downstairs for the kids and we use the upstairs for the adults. It works great with kids!

I think that the other review was from a family that probably lives in a mansion and has maid service because this place is gorgeous. I have stayed in many many cabins throughout the years, and this one is top notch. One of the best I have stayed in for the price. Very comfy, I just wanted to sleep all day. I don't know why they didn't comment on the jet tub in the master bedroom and how amazing it felt to sit in after a whole day of mogul skiing. The fire place turns on and off with a switch and the heater worked great during a snow in great. Based on the looks of it, the family who rents it comes here often. I think it shows when you walk in, for some reason, you can feel the love, and the family photos on the walls gave us ideas of what we could do for the weeked. I could not express how bad our family needed a nice weekend in the snow. We were very pleased and had a wonderful stay. We were here during a busy weekend and the location got us out of the way from all of the chaos. Close to a grocery store, close to some restaurants, and close to the way home! Kind of far from the Casinos but not an expensive cab ride. I think it was 20 dollars.

We just returned from staying in this house for Christmas. Could have been a nice vacation if would have choose a different house. This one is not really very well maintained or appropriate to be used by two families with kids. Fist - the so call converted garage - is a garage with two games and the rest is storage with lots of stuff from the owners. Full garbage bags are everywhere. You really can't enjoy this space. This is far from game room. Second - one of the beds downstairs is broken and you find yourself falling every night. Not a great experience. Third - kitchen. Far from being very well equipped. Stove is half working. Barely any pots with proper lids. Forth - fire detector is malfunctioning. Starts beeping periodically and there is no way to stop it. It's very old and have not been replaced in a while. Fifth - cleanliness - carpets are dirty, bathroom downstairs is in poor condition. Sixth - heating. All windows are not properly sealed. In one of the room downstairs - it's really bad and cold is coming from the patio door. There is only one thermostat in the house and in order to keep this one room warm for the kids you really need to set the temperature to higher than normal and the rest of the house is boiling because of it. During the winter - this house is one of the worst temperature control wise. Overall - skip this one if you want to enjoy your winter vacation.
Owner response:This is the only complaint we have had in 9 years. Prior to this group's stay, we did not require a deposit, as our guests were all very mature and respectful. With this group, all linens were soiled and there was a severe mess. This group was nice enough to send in the deposit after their stay, but were obviously not happy about it. The bed has been fixed, as it was broken on this booking. The kitchen is fully equipped and many have stayed over Thanksgiving and made a feast! All batteries have been replaced in the fire detectors and our central heating is efficient.
