Offering 1,000 square feet of living space, the large, open great room and vaulted ceilings throughout provide spacious living quarters. Private decks facing east and west let you enjoy sun or shade all day. With a queen bed in one bedroom and two twin beds in the other, the suite comfortably sleeps four (five with the available cot).
From the 420 thread-count cotton sheets, thick Egyptian cotton towels and HDTV to the historical area photographs and antiques, this spacious suite is outfitted to be your favorite home away from home. This apartment is ideally located right in Ridgway and offers one of the best views of the mountains. Close to everything on the Western Slope, when you stay here, you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of it all.
Thanks to the hosts' attention to detail, this mountain retreat feels like brand new and the extra details like fluffy bath towels and extra blankets made it special. The beds were comfortable and the rooms quite spacious. The kitchen is stocked with spices and everything else you need to prepare a home cooked meal.
The abundance of windows made it perfect for viewing the snow-capped mountains. At night, the stars seemed like giant clusters of lights. Amazing how many more there are when the city lights don’t interfere! The two decks made star gazing a nightly ritual.
I spent a cool afternoon shopping in the quaint stores in nearby Ouray. A late afternoon snow shower gave me a chance to enjoy an early dinner at The Ouray Brewery. With the sun shining and warm winds, some hiking near the waterfall the next day was just the ticket.
This Ridgway suite was ‘just right’ for this Colorado mountain loving Bear. I know you’ll enjoy it too!

... although I hesitate, because I don't want it to be all booked up when I want to return! I stayed at CC Suite July 5-July 11, 2011. I have been to the area many times before, mostly staying at a local guest ranch (now closed) for horseback riding. Without any firm plans for my week, it was especially delightful to have such a pretty and comfortable place with THOSE VIEWS for the times when I had no plans to visit, shop, ride, etc. I spent a lot of time in the apartment and was thrilled with the beauty, view, and comfort. Bob and Marybeth were perfect hosts and even attempted to teach me how to play Texas Hold 'em (wait until next year!). I'd happily recommend Cow Creek for any stay, for any reason, in the Ridgway/Ouray area, in fact, the views are much more open than from any place in Ouray. Now I have to hurry and book my (secret date) week for next year.

I had the pleasure of staying at Cow Creek over the Memorial Day weekend! I have spent a lot of time in the area over the past couple years, but this was my first real stay in Ridgway. Both Ridgway now Cow Creek are FANTASTIC. This is a new feeling apartment that is nicely furnished, comfortable and welcoming. It was a nice touch to have a DVD player along with the flat screen TV. I would rent Cow Creek again in a heartbeat. In fact, I came to this webpage hoping to find it vacant later this month! The owners were gracious and helpful. FIVE BIG GOLD STARS!!!

Fantastic suite with quick access to the ice park in Ouray. It was nice to be able to spread out, relax, and cook dinner in the huge kitchen after a day of climbing. We look forward to returning next year!

We stayed for 8 days and enjoyed the convenience and location very much. Being former residents in Pleasant Valley we fondly revisited our old haunts and were able to have friends vist us one of whom stayed for a few days. The proximity to wonderful hiking and fishing coutyside is a big plus even though we are no longer able tp participate in thse activities.. Marybeth and Bob are great hosts being helpful when needed. We definitely will stay again.

My husband and I just spent an incredible 6 days (July 2010) at Cow Creek Suite. This is a wonderful rental and we plan to go back. From the minute you step in, the thought, planning and detail that went into the space is noticeable. Even the detail and workmanship of the trimwork is professionally done. Every convenience of home and them some are provided in the utmost immaculate and clean environment. We have stayed in other VRBO locations and this one by far exceeded any expectations we had. Evenings on the balconies provided excellent views in a quiet setting. Ridgway has all the services you should need and is accessable to Ouray, Silverton and Telluride - making them easy for day trips. We found several ATV trails to take to get into the back country. Our stay was near the end of a 2 1/2 week trip west so I really appreciated having a washer and dryer in the apt. Heading home with no dirty laundry was a real bonus! Mary Beth and Bob were extrememly nice and accomodating. We will definitely be back and recommend it highly to you.

Great place. We spent a week here and appreciated the full sized washer and dryer along with all of the kitchen utensils we needed. Close to fishing at Ridgway State Park, jeep rentals in Ouray, and many hiking trails. We will be back.

We first stayed with Bob and Mary Beth for a week in 2008 and loved Ridgway so much that we returned for another week in 2009. Our two kids (ages 8-10 for the first visit) just loved Ridgway - the beautiful park, great coffee and book shop, amazing views and quiet yet convenient location offer a perfect getaway vacation in one of Colorado's most beautiful regions. The Cow Creek suite is impeccable and incredibly comfortable. Organic market and great library within walking distance. Concerts at the park during the summer another great local offering. We rode horses, spent the day in Telluride, rafted, biked to the State Park on the incredibly scenic bike trail, kayaked the Gunnison River Gorge and found a new place to explore every day. Bob and Mary Beth are extremely warm and accomodating. We highly recommend this charming gem.

What an amazing get away! The owners were courteous and kind and available to answer questions and provide advice on how to get around town. If it were 90 degrees or freezing and snowing this is the place for families or a few couples trying to get away. The accommodations were wonderful with no complaints about anything. The views amazing, the amenities plenty, and the comfort unmatched by any hotel. Our only complaint is that we only had three nights to spend, next time we will plan for more as we feel like Cow Creek is a home away from home. Thank you for the wonderful experience we will be back again and again.

We stayed at the Cow Creek Suite for 3-days during July. It was an excellent experience. As another reviewer mentioned, it was immaculate. That is appreciated as we have stayed in other rentals from VRBO that were not as well kept as they appeared in the ad. Mary Beth was even scrubbing the outside deck when we arrived. It is apparent that this apartment was built to be someone's personal residence. The trim, fixtures, lighting, etc. are all much nicer than you would expect to find in a rental. Having a "real" laundry and not just a tiny stackable unit was also convenient for a family on a long trip. It is in a quiet location with great views. Ridgway is a charming town and great base for exploring Ouray, Silverton and Telluride. We definitely plan to stay again when in the area.
