Winter Season: Our "Casa" is one of the few, true, ski-in/ski-out (ski into front door and out back door) condominium locations at Durango Mountain Resort -meaning that you do not have to haul your skis or board across parking lots or up stairs or elevators! Skiing, snowboarding, snow biking, snow shoeing, and cross-country skiing are just out the front and back door. Snow cat skiing is also available nearby as well as extreme skiing at Silverton Mountain Resort, just 30 miles away.
There is plenty of fun for the non-skiers as well. Take a whirl on the snow coaster (tubing), cruise the backcountry on a snowmobile tour, dog sled ride, ice skate, sled, and enjoy the unbelievable star gazing tours nightly. And, of course, do not forget the great shopping, art galleries, fine dining, Durango/Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, and hot springs nearby in historic Durango, Colorado.
Spring, Summer, and Fall: Explore the mountains by hiking, biking (you do not even have to bike up if you want to take the scenic chair lift up), and rock climbing wall, bungie trampline or experience the alpine slide, "Music in the Mountains" concert series, mini-golf, frisbee golf and a human-size maze all located right out your front door. Beautiful tennis courts located amidst the aspen tress and great fishing nearby.
Just 20 miles down the mountain you will enjoy historic Durango with its fabulous shopping, art galleries, and dining. Why the Owner Chose Durango
Our location really is ski in-ski out! You do not have to carry your skis to a shuttle, or haul them up stairs, or even skate ski a long distance to get to it. Just walk out the door, strap on your skis and head to a short lift that takes you to the main lift. You will love it too.
