The first thing you'll notice when you arrive at the Cozy Cub Cabin is how peaceful it is. This beautiful log cabin is nestled high atop the Blue Ridge Mountains in a gated community on a very secluded 2+ acre lot. We are also the only house on our road, so you really have the mountainside to yourself! If you're looking to get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is the place to do it! Whether you're looking for a romantic weekend for two, a week-long family vacation or a girl's weekend away, you'll find everything you need here at the Cozy Cub Cabin.
This home-away-from-home includes 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and can comfortably sleep 12. The Master Bedroom has a queen-sized bed, the loft has a queen-sized bed and both are very cozy pillow-top mattresses; no hard-topped hotel beds here! There is also a "kids" bedroom with a twin/full bunk bed, and we keep a pack & play here for the smallest addition to your family. If this isn't enough, we have a sofa, pull-out sofa and futon for the rest of the group!
We've tried to think of everything you could need to make this retreat as comfortable as possible, and we want you to feel at home here. So even though we've tried to keep it rustic, we haven't forgotten the modern "necessities" we've all grown accustomed to! That's why you'll find 3 cable TVs, 2 DVD players and wireless internet access throughout the house. There is a gas fireplace in the living room, where you can sit on a cool winter night and look out over the majestic mountain range and watch the unbelievable sunsets with your sweetheart. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including a stove, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and coffee pot. There are plenty of dishes, pots & pans and utensils for any sized family meal you wish to cook. Downstairs in the basement is a fully furnished recreation room, which has things for the whole family to enjoy: ping-pong, darts, kid-sized air hockey/pool table, video games, board games, toys, books and movies!
This getaway is located in Boomer, which is just outside of Wilkesboro, NC. We are 40 miles from Boone, 39 miles from Blowing Rock and 60 miles from Grandfather Mountain. Wilkesboro is home to many great festivals throughout the year, including Merlefest in April and the Apple Festival in October. It also has many great restaurants, department stores and smaller hometown stores with lots of arts & crafts, furniture and country food! All the roads that lead up to the cabin are paved, and are not as narrow and windy as some of the others you'll find around here!

Rates: $125/night or $750/week (7 nights) Peak: $150/night or $900/week
$200 refundable security deposit
$75 cleaning fee, $85 for large families or week-long stays
Peak season: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, Labor Day,
Easter, Merlefest, Months of July and October.
Two night minimum for regular dates, four night for peak dates.
