  With three of my girlfriends, I celebrated my birthday in Playa Del Carmen. I found this condo via the vrbo website. The place lived up to the pictures! It is beautiful. First, the location is absolutely perfect!! You are away from the all-inclusive resorts which were crowded and noisy. You are one block from 5th avenue where all the restaurants, shops and clubs are. We found a little market where we bought fresh fruit for home-made margaritas. The condo is spacious and has everything you need. The complex is gated though we never felt unsafe not one minute of our entire trip. The entire building staff were very friendly and responsive to your every need. Paco arranged for us to have an in room one hour massage for just $35. Best massage ever! The pool is refreshing. We really enjoyed swiming to end and gazing at the ocean. Every morning, we would go next door and order a delicious breakfast with our feet in the sand and view of the ocean. So tranquil. The roof top patio is perfect place for happy hour in the evening. We met some wonderful fun people staying at this boutique hotel. I would highly recommend renting this condo. Pam was very responsive when making the arrangements and gave us info we utilized on the trip like reserving a van to pick us up at the airport. We just walked right past all the solicitations for taxis. Sweet! We plan to make this an annual trip!!

  First, I'd like to thank Pam (the owner) for her professionalism. We rented her condo in Playa del Carmen at the last minute and she was VERY quick with email replies and phone calls to answer any questions my wife and I might of had. We got rental agreements signed and we were on our way in no time....very stress free. Thanks again Pam for a wonderful trip. We have 4 kids under the age of 11 and staying in hotels usually does NOT provide our family with adequate room. We were thrilled to have this 2 bedroom condo with kitchen, family room, patio, and an upstairs, on the roof, bonus sitting and barbecuing area....great view from up there. We enjoyed having the kitchen to cook some of our own meals. Walmart is about an 8 minute walk up the street where I purchased some groceries and had a taxi waiting to take me back to the condo ($5.00). Awesome. We would usually eat breakfast and dinner in the condo and then during the day after lounging on the beach we would take the kiddos out for a wonderful lunch. There are SO MANY places to eat and enjoy the local food....ALL in walking distance. Also, around the corner are the 5 ave shops. We had no idea it was that close to us and thoroughly enjoyed window shopping, people watching, and most of all 'haggling' with the local merchants! FUN ! This was first time we did NOT rent a car on a trip. We were in walking distance to everything AND the condo manager set us up with a van driver to take us around and show us the sights...for a fee which after some research turned out to be the best deal we would get. Mayan ruins...COBA.....about 1 1/2 hours away (but worth it), swim with sea turtles...about 50 minutes, and swim with the dolphins....about 45 minutes. Our kids had a remarkable time. We had a wonderful experience in Playa del Carmen. We were very safe with the gated entry and most pleasant security guard. The pictures on VRBO were right on. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone.

  My family (me, my wife, 4 teens) traveled to Mexico and stayed at Luna Encantada for 7 days. The same owner of HH3 also owns FF2. Because HH3 was not available for our entire stay, the property manager Pam was very helpful to have us stay part of the week in each unit and still make it seamless from a billing/transfer perspective. We've never been to Playa Del Carmen so we were a little nervous if we made the right decision to stay at Luna Encantada. Not only is its location perfect and close by to everything, the condo complex itself is incredible. Rooms are spacious with granite counters. The master bath has one of the best showers I've ever used. It was so good all of my kids wanted to use it as well which meant I was usually the last one to use it. Beach chairs/umbrellas are provided for guests on the beach at no cost. Even with other guest there, our chairs were all spread out and we didn't feel crowded in (compare this to other hotels and beach clubs where chairs have only 1 feet between them and loud music playing). Be careul with other places on the beach too. Some of them may be on the beach but will have fishing boats parked constantly in front of them. Not Luna. In 20 steps you can go from the ocean to your beach chair to jumping into the infinity pool. Not many other hotels/condos in Playa can do that! Luna's location is key! Its 1/2 block off of 5th ave and all of the shops/activities. 10 minute walk to the ferry for conzumel. I was worried that being so close to 5th ave would make it noisey at night. Surprisingly once you step off of 5th, it immediately gets peaceful and quiet. Don't worry about safety either. We felt fine sending our 11-17 year old kids by themselves up to the starebucks on 5th to get drinks by themselves. At Luna, not only are their entry gates and safes in the room, but there is a full time security staff. I was impressed with Playa del Carmen overall regarding security. Police are all over. I never saw a crime or single begger the whole time there. Even on walks way into the city where there were only locals, we never felt unsafe or uncomfortable.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Beautiful condo! We enjoyed making breakfast each morning and sitting on the balcony. The beach is one of the most relaxing and long stretches of white sand we've ever seen. Thanks for sharing this special spot. Great memories for years to come!

  This is a great place to stay in Playa- wonderful view, good location for walking the beach and to restaurants. We went to Yaxche twice- it is so good and unique! It was great to have the internet access- could keep tabs on folks at home and make transportation arrangements online. We hope to be back!

  Stayed here 1st week of February 2010. Awesome location with great activities. We enjoyed the new beach and would love to come back again soon! Enjoyed an authentic meal at El Pogan near Walmart. Purchased our supplies at Walmart and Mega. We used the grill on the patio a lot! Loved all the views! Thank you for opening your home to us!
