One of the Game Rooms has a full size pool table that converts to a 6 foot by 10 foot Dining Room table that will seat 14 comfortably. Every bedroom in the house has a flat screen TV and Play Station 3 and open beam ceilings, including the one bedroom upstairs that also has a fire pole for a quick escape to the first floor. This house has close to 100 opening windows which keeps the house very cool with awesome airflow year round. The average temperature year round is 76 - 84 degrees. Even in the hottest summer days, it rarely hits 90 degrees.

What a place!! Fourteen of us (7 adults & 7 children) spent 10 days at the FUNHOUSE. Duane is an absolutely great host. Quick responses on any request or question. The house and the property is exactly the way it is described on the listing. Yard is expansive with multiple fruit trees of which we received a tour from Duane. The pool, slide and hot tub received daily use. Games rooms found everyone playing everyday. Who thought table tennis would be such a popular activity? Kitchen amenities accommodated the creating meals by multiple people for a large group. Lack of wine glasses and cutlery was frustrating as was the smallish BBQ that required a bit of TLC.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful vacation at the Fun House this summer. The property is so beautiful and well maintained. The kids loved the petting zoo and now want chickens of their own! The property is very private and the diversity of tropical fruit trees on the property was extraordinary. We all hope to be able to return again soon.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

What an amazing property for families to stay at. It really is the fun house. We spent just as much time at the house relaxing and enjoying the serenity as we did exploring Hanalei. We have been to Kauai 7 times in the last 9 years, and we all agreed that this was probably the funnest time. That is directly credited to the Funhouse. The kids went crazy over the animals, (feeding, naming and loving them), and we all had a great time with the pool, slide, theater, games and property. Picking fruit and colored chicken eggs that we could eat was great, as well as the Frisbee golf course (we chipped golf balls). Duane has lots of toys like surfboards, a paddle-board, kayaks, coolers, mats, etc to use, and always monitored his emails if we needed anything. The location is great because it is 5 minutes to some of our favorite beaches and shopping, and 10-15 minutes from the rest of our favorite spots. Very nice bedrooms and the kitchen is well equipped. We would all highly recommend the Funhouse, and hope to be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had a great time at the Fun House. Our extended family of 8 ranging in age from 6-71 stayed there for a week March 2012. The place was incredible. Truly a resort unto itself. There was plenty of space for everyone. Each bedroom suite had its own bathroom. A great place for large groups and multiple families. My kids ages 6 and 11 fell in love with the place. The petting zoo was the hit. The kids would collect fresh eggs every morning. The often preferred to stay at the house rather than explore the island. The large kitchen and BBQ allowed us to cook in most nites which not only convenient but saved a ton of money. The property allowed us to hang out as a group and come and go as we pleased. Duane could not have been more accommodating. He allowed us to explore the waterfall on the property behind the house which is one of the most beautiful things I have seen. The only issue we had was no propane for the hot tub. Apparently it was too wet to deliver propane. Really a minor inconvenience. The only problem now is how do we top this? My kids want to move there.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My family and I just returned from a week stay at the "Fun House". We had such a wonderful time that no one wanted to leave. The house was wonderful and the description was totally accurate. The house was wonderful the pool w/slide was fantastic and the surrounding grounds were amazing. The location was perfect very centrally located. The owner was very helpful and promptly responded to any of our questions. We would definetly recommend the house to anyone looking for a spectacular time.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at this estate was amazing. First off... this place is comfortable beyond belief, clean, spacious, fully stocked and loaded. Something for everyone, relaxing by the pool on impeccable grounds, graced with a three very well mannered, (non-honking) peacocks, wild chickens and roosters who are probably are the reason I never saw a centipede, nor a roach while I was there. A delight for the young children was the very friendly pet goats, pigs, chickens and ducks that make up a sweet petting zoo. Even when it was raining, we had many opportunities to enjoy the downpours from under the outside patio or under the pool umbrellas. Our back yard walking access to the Stone Damn on the old guava plantation that these lands once were, was a treat. Duane is a wonderful host, who encourages full use of all the toys the property has to offer...kayaks, surf & boogie boards and SUPs were enjoyed by everyone. Watching Avatar on a full screen home theater in a living room that comfortably sat a bakers dozen of us. This place is amazing.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We were lucky enough to stay at the FunHouse for 8 days for a family reunion and LOVED it! There were 8 adults and 7 kids (ranging from 3 - 15) and we never felt cramped. Every room is great, the games were a blast and the grounds are AMAZING! The kids absolutley loved the "farm" animals and we couldn't get enough of Tux (the owner's dog you MUST be sure he brings over!) and Kiwi (an outdoor cat with the most amazing kiwi green eyes!). The pool and waterslide kept the whole group entertained for hours and the huge yard was perfect for football, baseball and frisbee. Duane, the owner, took us on an amazing tour and we would have never seen all those places without him (makes sure you take notes so you can go back to them during your stay). It is very centrally located and although you feel like you are secluded everything onthe island is I highly recommend this property to anyone with a large group with a variety of ages-no one will be disappointed! Our vacation at the Fun House was an amazing week. Our accomodations were first class. All the rooms were very comfortable and spacious which made it extremely easy for the 10 of us to be together. We were either very relaxed around the pool and slide or having a great time playing frisbee golf throughout the amazing garden like property. Movie Night in the projection room was so relaxing and the selection of movies to choose from was great. It was extra special to have the farm yard friends there with us. They were always happy to see us coming with things to eat and were very entertaining. It was so relaxing at the Fun House but only moments away were beautiful beaches and lots of things to do there. We can't thank Duane enough for the many tours he took us on and how incredible they were. We are so happy with all our pictures and will never forget the piece of Heaven we experienced. I can now say I have had some "extreme" adventures and it was so worth it. I can not wait till the next time we return to the Fun House for some more memories! This really was a vacation in paradise. The funhouse and the property were fabulous and extremely spacious ! The location is near a wide variety of breathtaking scenery, beaches, shopping and hiking. An added bonus was having Duane ( the owner ) as our personal guide, and to share all of his knowledge of the island. All the fresh fruit at our finger tip's grown right on the property. We could spend hours outside with the outdoor activities the pool and of course if you like live entertainment the animals. The inside was amazing, beautiful bedrooms, enormous kitchen, games rooms, and so much more. I would recommend the funhouse to all our friends and family.
