  Thank you for welcoming us into your home. A weekend here was exactly the short vacation we needed before Thanksgiving. We really enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace, grill, hiking at Cacapon State Park, and cooking in your fully stocked kitchen. We also had a great time dancing to oldies on the jukebox each night. Sad to go, but really happy we spent a few days here away from crazy life. Definitely hope to be back in the future.

  It was such a great pleasure to stay here this week. Our honeymoon here was completely fantastic! This rates up there at #1 in all the vacations I've taken since my childhood with my family. Thank you Meg and Eric for everything that you've done to make this so great. The total peace and quiet, the location, the deer, the hot tub, and the fireplace combined to make this the perfect honeymoon spot. My sister visited here many times and loved it here. I can feel her presence all around me and that made me feel so welcome and at home. Doris loves it here as well as I do and it's difficult to pack and leave this morning. Thank you!!

  We have once again returned to beautiful West Virginia - this time to share our peaceful hideaway with Peter's sisters, Sheila and Edith. Both were in dire need of an escape from the responsibility and oppression of their lives. They were impressed and comforted by the beauty of the countryside, the coziness of this home, and the seclusion of the surroundings. They were unable to be reached by all of those who require so much of them when they are home. We shared walks with our dogs, delicious meals both at Tari's and here at our second home, and hours of laughter playing games by the fire. Both were able to get the sleep and rest that they so sorely needed. Hurricane Sandy ravaged the rest of the East Coast while we were here, but we remained warm, safe, and comfortable at Lazy Days River Retreat. During our walks we saw only about 5-6 deer at a time. That is a good deal fewer than when we were here in April. But we enjoyed them nonetheless. In appreciation for our love of this place, we have decided to donate items that may be useful and will enhance the comfort of other guests and of course, which we will use when we return in April. Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your home.

  What a wonderful retreat away from our hectic Philadelphia lives!! Thank you so much for the champagne which we enjoyed on our 40th wedding anniversary. The Panorama Restaurant was superb!! It will be hard to return to the craziness of everyday life but just the thought of Lazy Days River Retreat will put a smile on our faces. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

  We had a wonderful time. Didn't think about home or work or computers even once. Your cabin is really beautiful and whoever decorated it has wonderful taste. Everything I saw said to me that these people really care. It is unusual to see so much love and care go into something for someone else's enjoyment. We love it here and will be back. I just wanted to stay here and not go out. We loved it and will be back.

  We can only “Salute” Megan and Eric for providing such a Rest Haven for their guests. We recently celebrated “Chick Week” which consisted of 6 long life girlfriends at your wonderful Lazy Days River Retreat. The amenities you provided were outstanding! Thank you Eric for resolving the “coffee pot fiasco” so quickly. Imagine 6 women without caffeine! The Hot Tub was awesome relaxation and created a special atmosphere to reminiscence old times between good friends. Your retreat provided all the “Comforts of Home”, to include the wonderful welcome gifts. Thank you doesn’t seem enough to show our appreciation for providing us with such a place of peace and serenity to hold our reunion.   We arrived and just enjoyed the house. It is very comfortable and peaceful. We enjoyed the hammock and took a short walk. We visited the Paw Paw Tunnel and did another hike. We enjoyed dinner at Panorama at the Peak. The house is so comfortable - we really enjoyed our visit and would love to visit again! Thank you for your hospitality!

  We had a great time here. The cabin is nice and my two little girls enjoyed the new DVDs. We went hiking at Paw Paw Tunnel, swam in the lake at Cacapon State Park, and went tubing on Cacapon River and fishing right down the road. The cabin is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed seeing the deer in the yard and soaking in the hot tub.

  Awesome time here in Berkeley Springs. House and amenities were great. The area is beautiful with lots to do. Paw Paw Tunnel, Tunnel Hill Trail, and the C&O Canal were wonderful. Highly recommend taking the Maryland Scenic Railroad in Cumberland and biking down. Great fishing in the Cacapon (small fish but lots of fun). Most relaxing vacation in years!
