One of the most beautifully decorated/designed condominiums at the Kiahuna. Recent total remodel. Travertine tile, granite, and beautiful custom cabinetry throughout. Free wireless internet. Cable TV and DVDs in living room and bedrooms. [Unit 74 Building 14.]

Unobstructed ocean views from both floors. Short walk over a beautifully landscaped area to the beach. Unit set back just enough from the main grass courtyard for greater privacy, but close enough to be part of the fun and close to the water.

The Kiahuna Plantation is a beautifully landscaped condominium complex that evokes the feel of an old Hawaiian Plantation. The units are open and airy with many windows, and louvers that open to catch the cooling Hawaiian trade winds. The Kiahuna is set directly on Poipu Beach, one of the best beaches on Kauai. Poipu Beach is on the drier south side of Kauai so it is usually quite sunny. (Kauai is so beautiful because of the abundant rain received in the North end of the island; hence the name the "Garden Island.") A beach hut provides free towels and beach chairs; boogey boards and surf boards are available for rental. Surf lessons are also available.

The Kiahuna provides free tennis on 9 courts. The courteous staff will arrange matches for you. The famous Poipu Bay golf course, former site of the annual Grand Slam tournament, is 2 miles East at the beautiful Hyatt Poipu Hotel. Other excellent courses are nearby. A number of excellent restaurants are close including Roy's, Keoki's, Casa Blanca, and the Plantation Gardens which are within walking distance. Funky Old Town Koloa with its shops and restaurants is just a few minutes away by car. The rest of the island with its fantastic scenery, great adventures, and wonderful beaches is all within an hour's drive.

  • We stayed at the Kiahuna Plantation condo from Nov 4-10/2008 and loved every minute of it. The condo is so tastefully decorated, clean and inviting. Plenty of space to keep from tripping over each other with a lovely kitchen, living room and lanai to share evenings together. The grounds, beach and swimming pool are all excellent and Kauai is a jungle paradise. I would recommend this unit to anyone and hope that we get to visit again someday soon.

  • Nov 28, Dear David, We had a great time at Kiahuna in unit 74. You have done a beautiful job in the renovation of it. I especially liked the kitchen with the long counter and open space. We are all readers, so appreciated the lighting as well. We were lucky with weather and the family did the Napali hike to the beach (2 miles) and the kids went on to the waterfall while my husband and I hiked back to the beach and waited for them.

  • The kids loved the easy walk to the beach and we had great sunny weather every day that we were there! The beach right out in front was the best place along the whole coast for our kids to swim in and it was still an easy walk to Poipu Beach park to see the seals and turtles! Your condo was perfect for our family - we loved all the boggie boards and having a washer/dryer and wireless was a huge help! We went on the Kauai ATV tour, the Blue Dolphin Napali Coast tour, and took surfing lessons out front-we can't wait to come again. Your place is wonderful!!

  • What a beautiful place! My family and I stayed here for four blissful nights, and we didn't want to leave. The condo was spacious, comfortable, beautifully appointed, and had fabulous views of the ocean. The location was perfect; it's just a short walk to the beach yet the condo felt wonderfully private. We were happy to discover the sand toys and boogie boards in the closet (thanks for thinking of everything!), and I loved the convenience of being able to do laundry in the condo. It was also great to have a wireless network so that we didn't have to go to the office to check email. We've already recommended your lovely place to friends, and we're hoping to plan our next visit soon! Thanks again!
