A small home on the Harraskeetet River, near South Freeport Harbor comes well stocked and decorated. It is available for weekly rental during July and August, as well as the week of Thanksgiving 2009. You may be fortunate enough to experience a full moon while staying on the river. Some of us believe, there is nothing prettier than a full moon on the Harraskeetet.
A canoe or kayak can be launched right from the front yard. The Harraseeket River is delightful for kayaking, as well as the gateway to Freeport Harbor and into Casco Bay. Just five minutes away is downtown Freeport, home of LL Bean and many well-known retail outlets. From Freeport, you are well positioned to make day trips to many Maine coastal beaches and towns. In Freeport, you have Wolf Neck State Park and Winslow Park to enjoy. Portland is just 19 miles away for access to city life as well as ferries to islands in Casco Bay.
