This was our first stay at this beautiful home on Lake Glenville. We have visited this area for the past 20 years and stayed in many different vacation homes on various lakes. This home is at the top of the list. Everything about our stay was perfect. The spacious and beautifully decorated home was so comfortable for our group. There were 8 of us with plenty of room to spare. The pontoon boat made our stay exceptional. We all went out on the boat for day and night cruises and fishing. We are already making plans for next year!

This was our first stay at Lake Glenville. This property is located off the main lake in a beautiful cove. The pontoon boat was a real value - large and comfortable for cruising and fast enough to pull skiers. The decks were great for enjoying the cool mountain evenings. We found the house perfect for our family with 7 adults and 1 infant and we hope to have a chance to stay there again soon.

What a wonderful week we had! There were a total of 8 adults and one baby....and the home and grounds provided us with great accomodations, wonderful views of the lake both from the two porches as well as the yard; room to throw the frisbee in the yard; lots of privacy (both inside and out as my son and his family stayed in the fully equipped downstairs area and the rest of us were upstairs). We also rented the very nice, large pontoon boat for the week and thoroughly enjoyed our time on it and the lake! Overall, our experience was wonderful and would certainly consider the use of this rental home again for another family/friends gathering. This home is close enough to take day trips into Cashiers, Highlands, Franklin and other really nice areas. Our only regret was that we were unable to get the AL (ROLL TIDE!) football game on tv.....;0) but that was only because NC had blocked the game....

Just returned from a weeks stay at this wonderful location. The property was everything described here and more. Photos did not do it justice. We had vacationers from age 1 to 60 and everyone had a great time. I recommend renting the boat along with the house. The lake is breath-taking! We also enjoyed visiting Highlands. One recommendation is if you have a large party make reservations if you happen to go out to dinner! The outside living space (decks) make this an ideal location.

Excellent location; charming, comfortable lake front home that looks even better in person than in pictures. The local contact for the home is most helpful! Wish we could have stayed longer. The boat is very large & comfortable & an excellent amenity to the property!

Our family spent a long weekend enjoying the peaceful beauty of Lake Glenville, while attending my son’s wedding. We made use of all the amenities the house had to offer using all five bedrooms; the two kitchens were a plus when we hosted 44 people at the rehearsal dinner on Friday evening. The owner’s description is accurate and the additions to the deck on both levels provided everyone with room “to roam” The new master suite on the lower level was great, very spacious and a definite plus to the whole experience. With three DIRECT TV connections, one in the lower level Master suite and two upstairs allowed the family to watch programming of their preference. The property was clean and well-maintained inside and out. Cashiers and Highlands are within easy driving distance, and Ingle’s grocery store in Cashiers was fantastic. The property management representative called us on our arrival day to ensure that everything was satisfactory. We had no issues during our stay; lovely experience. I highly recommend this property; we’re already planning our next visit, and plan to stay longer.

The pictures on the VRBO website do not do this beautiful lakefront home justice. The home is located on a large grassy lakeside lot in a quiet north end cove of Lake Glenville. Plenty of room for kids to run around, and a dock that can accomodate water craft. We enjoyed quite a few picnic lunches under the shade of the large trees that populate the yard. The interior is large, nicely accomodated, and clean. The kitchen is complete with everything you need to cook family sized meals, and there is a screened in dining area off the main deck where you can enjoy them in the cool evening air. At night you can lounge on the deck and watch the moon come over the mountaintops. The view from the deck is very peaceful as there are no other homes or roads visible in the near vicinity. Lake Glenville is really a special place. We stumbled upon it by accident 2 years ago and will hopefully be coming back for many years to come. A great lake to play in, and a great area of North Carolina to explore for all ages. Make sure you look at the many guide books found in the house as there are unbelievable waterfalls, hikes, and rivers all within 10 miles of the lake. We very much enjoyed our stay in this fabulous lake house and will be back next year for another stay if it is available. Rob Giersch

Our family just spent the July 4th 2008 week at this wonderful Lake Glenville home and it far exceeded our expectations. The pictures that you see on the VRBO site do not do this property justice. It is a very well kept home with all the amenities. The house sits on a large lot that is beautifully landscaped, including a garden, in a perfect location at the north end of Lake Glenville. We were visited everyday by hummingbirds coming to the garden. It is so peaceful and yet offered plenty of activities to keep our teenagers and college age kids busy. All four bedrooms are very nice and the master bedroom is large. The bedrooms are across the back of the house with two bedrooms on the left and two bedrooms on the right, with a laundry area in-between. The bedrooms are away from the big open kitchen-living room-dining room area which is great in case you have any late sleepers or people that like to stay up late. The kitchen is large so we were all able to be in it at the same time and it is very well equipped. There is also a great screened-in-porch with a dining table and chairs and a hammock. There is an open deck off the living area that surrounds the house with a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. Below this deck is a covered deck that surrounds the house and has another hammock and a porch swing. We spent lots of time on the large dock. We went swimming, we fished, and we rented boats from the local marina. There is plenty of room to run and play frisbee in the yard. Also, there is a two car garage and ample parking for many more cars or even a boat. We really enjoyed our time at this home. It was a relaxing, stress-free vacation. Our black lab thinks it's the best vacation he's ever had and we all definitely want to go back very soon.
