Nice house, so-so location

We rented the house for 5 nights in late December 2011. The house was very clean, new, comfortable. It's pretty spacious for a relatively small house. Almost all amenities work as they should. The owner allows for pets and for us that was a big plus. For us the big drawback was that the house is located right off of Hwy 98. Stated differently, you can hear the traffic from any room in the house - especially the bedrooms and especially at night. When you look out the window at the gulf or sit on the porch, what you see first is the highway and the traffic. (The house indeed has an internet connection, as stated. But it's not wireless. That means that you can only use one computer at a time. And every time we switched computers we had to "reboot" the modem….VERY inconvenient). If not for the traffic noise, we might have come back to this otherwise charming house.
Owner response:unfortunate but we have never had complaints due to location only good re sponse because of closeness to beach. also the property is on google map and there is no false comments as to location

We are here for the week (Christmas to New Year's). It is absolutely wonderful! The view is beautiful! The floor plan is unique. The decor is wonderfully eclectic. We are SO PLEASED! We will definitely be staying here again!
