We are located two miles north of downtown Hilo on the east side of the Big Island's beautiful Hamakua Coast in Alae Point Subdivision. This comfortable, conveniently located, charming house has 3-bedrooms, 2 baths, a beautiful well-equipped kitchen, and an attached spacious studio apartment with laundry room. We are sure you will find the accommodations comfortable. Your privacy is assured as we only rent to one party at a time.
These two units are available separately or together for larger groups. Honoli'i Beach Park, a beautiful black sand and cobblestone beach with County lifeguards and restrooms bordering the scenic Honoli'i River, is a short two-minute walk away for boogie-boarding, surfing, or beach strolling.
There is a wide array of scenic attractions and activities in and around Hilo, including waterfalls, botanical gardens, snorkeling beaches, Volcano National Park, the Pacific Tsunami Museum, Lyman House Museum, Imiola Astronomy Center of Hawaii, Hilo's famous Farmer's Market, the Prince Kuhio Plaza (Big Island's only shopping mall), and much much more.

We rented the studio for three nights are were exceptionally pleased with the location and the entire setup. The street is quiet and secure, the house was stocked with all the extras you might need (umbrella, cooler, coffee, maps, etc). The bed was very very comfortable. My husband and I cannot find a problem with this location or with the owners. When we return to Hilo, we could definitely rent here again. Thank you!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We (3 adults) decided to stay on the Hilo side primarily so we could visit the Hilo Farmer's Market, the Lyman House, Volcano National Park, Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden and go star gazing on Mauna Kea. This is a convenient location in a quiet neighborhood just outside of Hilo. The house is well maintained, very clean, and spacious. The wi-fi works well and the laundry facilities are a big plus. The description and photos of the property are accurate and it is very easy to communicate with the owners. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend this property for those interested in being near Hilo.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+.
