Only improvement we suggest is new pillows for the beds. The ones there were not fresh smelling....smelled a bit.

Owner response: The pillows have been replaced! Being a lake vacation place, people seem to fall in bed with wet hair from the enjoyment of all day on the lake or a quick shower before going to bed on any given night. The pillows have to be replaced often, sorry they weren't replaced before your visit.
Nice and peaceful

Overall this is a great little home with all the amenities of home. Not to far from the lake. Really nice. Would most definitely recommend and will most likely use again.

Owner response: Dennis, Thank you for giving your review of TwinsAcres Vacation Home. When you return to the home, you will see new laminate floors in the kitchen and bathroom that we just put down. We visit the home at least once a year to make necessary updates. Thank you for choosing our home for your trip to Beautiful Heber Springs and look forward to booking your next visit. Tom and Diane Lane
This is a perfect rental home! I couldn't believe everything that was already provided such as laundry detergent, dish detergent, and even cooking spray! My family and I had a wonderful time here playing the games provided, grilling on the charcoal grill, and just watching nature. Thank you for a marvelous time!

Owner response: Thank You for your response. Glad to hear you had a wonderful time. We try to make the home as comfortable as possible and add the extras for your convenience. Nothing like trying to cook a meal and not even have salt or pepper to season or flour and cornmeal to coat all those fish from the Little Red or the lake. Happy vacationing. The Lane's
Very nice home!
Very nice home!
This home is VERY nice and perfect for a family get away! You dont have neighbors right at your doorstep, but you are close to the lake and marinas so you can go play. The colorful rooms are perfect if you have children, and the price wont break your budget so you can actually enjoy your weekend more. Loved my stay here and look forward to coming back.

Owner response: Jim, Thanks for your review of TwinsAcres. The bright colors were picked out by my daughter and my grandchildren. All the neat statements on the walls were done by my daughter. Just something to help make a vacation a happy one. I love not having neighbors right on top of the home and can get out and enjoy being able to enjoy the private yard. The gas line people wanted me to let them place a line and remove several trees on the property but I turn down their offer, I wanted to keep it a private place to visit. Thanks Diane

Fishing Trip Stay May 2012.
This may be the 8th or 9th stay at this property in as many years. As always, the house was extremely clean and well maintained. The kitchen is abundently furnished with all the pans, utensils and etc. required to make a stay very pleasurable. The air conditioning is excellent as well as are the fans in the living room and all 3 bedrooms. The convenience to the Red River Trout Dock and the golf course across the street could not be better. It is my intention to continue coming back to this property for my family's annual fishing trips for as long as possible.

Owner response: Thanks for the review. You know I enjoy getting your call to book, once again, a stay at TwinsAcres. I hope the closing of Lost Creek Golf Course doesn't cause a problem with your visits. We're hoping someone will reopen the course but so far nothing happening. So glad my home is so close to the Little Red River and Greers Ferry Lake, that is what most renters seem to be there to enjoy. Since Tom and I visit the home also, we add the things to the home that we need to feel comfortable in our home away from home. Thanks and Enjoy.

Not fancy or glamorous but a SUPER place to go for a nice quiet retreat to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of a way too fast paced world!!! My husband and I absolutely loved our time spent here! Our son who never wants to go ANYWHERE is already saying he looks forward to being able to go again! We have lost count of how many times we have stayed at TwinAcres. It is such a comforable, relaxing, and enjoyable place. Each room is nice and cozy. The kitchen is great and stocked so nice. The living room has all the comforts of home. The acres of land around is just breathtaking. Last time we bought a bag of deer food at Wal-Mart and the next morning we had about 12 deer. Each morning we would wake up excited to see who was outside eating the corn. This was also the place that my 1 year old son held his first turtle. We found it in the backyard. Heber Springs is our second home and we love having our second home "TwinAcres" there. See ya again real soon, Tina

Hi Diane,We do so appreciate your help during the loss of Ernest's sister in AR. As we get older it is so important to be where things are familar and you are comfortable, and we knew it would be that way again at Twinsacres. You have done a great job with all the new flooring, new furniture, and the bright cheerful colors you used. Again Thanks. Ruth & Ernest Bufford Fountain City, IN.

Owner response: Ruth & Ernest I know the trip had to be a sad one for both of you. Thank you for remembering TwinsAcres for your stay in Heber. We let the grandchildren pick the colors for the new makeover and I think they did a great job. Bright and Cheery to even brighten some of your sad times. Thank you for being a wonderful returning guest and adding such nice comments for others to read. Regards Diane and Tom Lane

About the owner: I, (Diane) was born and raised in this area and went to school at West Side/ Greers Ferry then finishing at Heber Spring High School. This was my mother's home. Tom and I decided to change it to a Vacation Rental Home so others could see what a beautiful area Heber Springs AR is. We use it to enjoy visits with family members that still live in Heber Springs and the Greers Ferry Area. After the loss of our youngest daughter from melanoma cancer, we are raising 2 of our 6 grandchildren so we can't use the home for retirement as early as we had planned. That gives 'all of you guest' more time to enjoy 'TwinsAcres' and Heber Springs AR. Happy Vacations Tom and Diane Lane
Why the Owner Chose Heber Springs:
Over the years I watched Heber Springs turn into a very beautiful place to vacation. I watched the rivers over flow which turned land into a wonderland for tourist. This was my mom's home and am sure she would be proud knowing so many people are enjoying her home and land as much as she did. So many different areas of interest; golfing, Fishing for trout in the Little Red River or catching big bass and catfish from Greers Ferry Lake, Enjoying a day on the lake sightseeing the beautiful sites and swimming in the clear, clean waters of the lake. Skiing or tubing, what fun!!!!!! Mountain climbing Sugarloaf Mt. or Shop til you Drop!!!! Or maybe just sit in the swing and enjoy the wonders of nature right in the front and back yards. I call it 'A Little Piece of Heaven.'
The Unique Benefits at this House:
TwinsAcres is close to everything offered in the area. Shopping the unique gift shops in the downtown area and surrounding areas, golfing the beautiful courses, catching our limit of fish from the Little Red River or Greers Ferry Lake, Sandy Beach, Enjoying the Cardboard Boat Races usually held at Sandy Beach area the last weekend of July, watching one of the best 4 of July fireworks display in Arkansas. Walking the Mossy Bluff Trails, Collins Creek, or other nature trails in the area, Tour the Dam, then enjoy the Fish Hatchery, stop in at the Welcome center at the Dam and see how this beautiful town and lake were developed. 'A must do' is see the town from atop Sugarloaf Mountain. You'll have a Kodak Moment up there, Beautiful view of the town and area. You can also walk the trails on Sugarloaf in the Lake, you will need to have boat access for this adventure. Just too many things to enter here for your enjoyment in this Beautiful town of Heber Springs AR.
