Great Condo in the heart of Kona

We rented this condo for the month of July and had a fabulous time. The layout was great for our family of 5 (plus grandparents). There was plenty of room to spread out and let everybody do their own thing. The view was great (even better from the upstairs lanai) and you could hear the waves crashing if it was quiet. The complex was secure and quiet and seemed to have a diverse population (both young and old/ renters and owners). The pool was fabulous! There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas and it was never too crowded. The rules for children were a little too strict however for our 9 and 11 year olds likings (no rough-housing or horse-play whatsoever!) We ran into a few problems while staying there (A/C and phone weren't working properly) and the owner took care of things very promptly. We were pleased with the ease of getting things taken care of and the follow through that was given. The photos of the property do accurately reflect the rental's appearance. The furnishings are all in good shape. The beds and couches are all very comfortable. The downstairs lanai is fabulous. The deck is made of some kind of faux wood (no splinters) and there is a nice patio set with ample seating for 6 to 8. We ate almost all of our meals out on the deck and the geckos were always there to keep us company. If we ever have the opportunity to come to Kona again for a month, this condo would be our first choice.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

I just returned last night from 12 fabulous days in this vacation rental with my husband, mother and step-father. It is a beautifully appointed, well situated and fabulously large condo with all the amenities one could ever want. We were mesmerized by the ocean view from the bottom and top lanais. We loved cooking in the kitchen and eating outside every evening. The pool and hot tub are wonderful and often empty so you feel as if you have your own private pool. You cannot beat the location for Kona, it is convenient to everything.
