Our Vacation Place with a private entrance is nestled on our property between four wooded acres on beautiful Blue Lake.

For more nature adventures, you can take a short trip to one of the many parks and springs in the area. If the coast is what you like, you can choose from several beaches nearby. Go snorkeling, hiking, biking, swimming...there are endless choices for outdoor enthusiasts!
Right around the corner:
Just a five minute drive downtown takes you to our Historic Downtown Shopping and restaurant area. You can pick your choice of cuisine with a wide range of food from sandwiches, Greek and Thai to fine dining. Just a 5 minute drive north takes you to Skydive Deland, where you can watch the skydivers while grabbing a bite to eat and/or have the experience of a lifetime tandem skydiving with the best skydivers in the world!
Museums and other cultural attractions:
There are many museums & cultural attractions nearby such as the Women's Museum of Art, Deland Museum of the Arts, Deland House and Athens Theatre all in our historic downtown for your enjoyment. In addition to our local museums, you can take a short drive to Museum of Arts and Sciences, Orlando Museum of Art, or the Orlando Science Center just to name a few.
Theme Parks...
If you like the Disney theme parks, you can take an 45 minute drive to Orlando and visit Disney's Magic Kingdom, MGM, Epcot, or Animal Kingdom. Other theme parks in Orlando include: Universal, Sea World, Discovery Cove, Marine Land, Islands of Adventure, and many others.
While you are here, enjoy our apartment features....
Living room includes a 50' high def TV, cable, DVD, VCR, and video library. Bring your wireless laptop and hook up to our highspeed internet. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes a full-size stackable washer/dryer and a granite countertop eating area. The bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds, one full-size tempurpedic bed, dresser, large closet, and a balcony. All linens are provided, including beach towels. Central A/C and ceiling fans throughout. Sleeps up to 6 persons.

This VRBO was truly a home away from home: clean, cozy, well stocked with various convenience items, HUGE television (which we didn't end up using, but it was impressive none the less), no bugs, and none of that ubiquitous black Florida shower mold (major points for that, imho). The owner and groundskeeper are very friendly and helpful, and a pleasure to interact with. One thing to note: the parking for the rental is in back of the garage and is easy to miss (especially if you arrive at night like we did), it's not a problem per se, just something to be aware of, being that it is unmarked. There is also a low stump right next to it, so be mindful of that when parking as well. This was not mentioned, to my recollection, and without knowing I parked in the wrong spot for two days. They were very nice about it, but I think a parking sign or mention in the listing would clear up potential confusion. All in all, I highly recommend this VRBO and hope to visit again some time soon.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

apartment was on second floor above a garage. No bath tub. Other than that the accomadations were clean and well equipped.Owner response: Wayne, thanks for staying with us! The bathroom in our apartment is very roomy with double sinks, but does not have a tub, it does, however, have a large walk in shower. I'm glad you found the accommodations well equipped. We stock all of the items that we like to have when we travel to other VRBO's. Hope to see you again next year! Lynn

Really enjoyed this quiet condo. The folks in the main house were very friendly and helpful as was the owner.Recommended for: Age 55+.

This apartment is clean and modern and nicely furnished. It is a quiet place to stay in a charming Florida city with easy access to Daytona Beach and Orlando. We enjoyed our month long stay and highly recommend it to others.Recommended for: Age 55+.

The solitude of the lake at the end of the garden is great for reading, thinking, fishing. Ideally situated for east coast and easy to get to West Coast, Orlando is only 1 hour away. Very comfortable accomodation. Quality place.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
