Why the Owner Chose Estes Park
This location has truly amazing mountain views of Long's Peak, Mt. Meeker, Twin Sisters and the Cotinental Divide. It is also surrounded by open space, bordered by National Park land, close to the Big Thompson River and provides excellent year-round opportunities for viewing wildlife right outside in the front yard, including herds of elk, deer, coyote, rabbit, badger, birds, and even the occasional bear. The proximity to the Rocky Mountain National Park (less than 1 mile to the RMNP entrance) and downtown Estes Park (about a mile) make this a perfect mountain getaway for adventurous exploring or pampered relaxation. Our cabin makes a great base of operations for hiking and touring within RMNP and is also close to restaurants, golf, and other amusements and activities in the quaint village of Estes Park. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Owner's Map of Estes Park
We are an active family of four including 2 children (a boy 6 years old and a girl 4 years old). We love the grandeur and beauty of the mountains and the abundance of wildlife in this part of Colorado. We never get used to seeing the herds of elk, snowcapped mountains, streams full from the snow melt, wildflowers and aspens in all their seasonal colors. We love to share the natural beauty with visitors from nearby and from far away.

(Coldest October on record) Dear Pamela and Tim, Your retreat cabin is perfect! Amenities (washer and dryer, dishwasher, fireplace, etc.) made the stay “homey.” The décor and rustic charm made the stay “Estes.” This is our fourth trip to Estes Park and RMNP. Your cabin made this trip! Well, along with my first October snow (3 days in a row), the elk, the Estes Park hospitality, good food, good friends (who stopped by for dinner one evening). Phenomenal! Happy 46th Birthday to me! Once again my husband gifted me with a favorite – Estes Park. So glad your very lovely cabin was included in his birthday package. Blessings, Perry and Dallis Parker Jeremiah 29:11

We had a wonderful stay in your comfortable, clean and warm home. The view was spectacular. The elk and deer grazed outside to add to the enjoyment. We went to Mary’s Lake Lodge for lunch – had a great meal and view. Ate breakfast at Mountaineer Café – happy with price and eggs. Egg and I also a good breakfast stop. Dunraven Inn also a good restaurant we’d recommend. Thanks for all the extras of tea, cider, popcorn, etc. The shampoo was welcome, too, since I failed to bring mine. We hope to visit again – the park is so readily accessible, a great 5 days for us.

Pamela and Tim, We had a fabulous time and your cabin was a perfect base camp. None of us are ready to go home and we have already started talking about our next trip to Colorado. Thank you for everything! The Sheas - Marcia, Jeff, Aidan, Claire and Michael

We enjoyed our stay at your nice Estes Park rental. We did see a blue bird one day and another day 12 elk strolled to the river for a drink and then returned hiking back up the hill between adjacent houses. Our daughter and three grandsons had great hikes in the Park. Dave and I enjoyed short walks in the park and also one day had coffee on the porch at the Stanley Hotel. Estes Park is a beautiful place and we plan on returning and renting with you again. Glady Winter

Your cabin is beautiful! What a fantastic way to enjoy this area - looking out at this fabulous mountain view just minutes from the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance. We did some hiking and drove the Trail Ridge Road. We ate at Estes Park Brewery (good beer) and Poppy's (good pizza). We also took the Aerial Tram ride. Mom took my two daughters ages 14 and 12 for their first massage at Mary's Lake Lodge/Escape Spa and Salon. We are just relaxing on our last night here, sitting by the fire after cooking a delicious steak dinner. We watched a beautiful double rainbow from the front porch after a brief rain. We are still hoping to see some elk from our window. We did see some hummingbirds and some other pretty birds. Tomorrow we are heading to Golden, CO to finish our awesome Colorado vacation. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin! The Langes - Jerry, Janine, Jenna (age 14), Sydney (age 12) and Chloe (age 7)

We had a wonderful time at your cabin as well as traveling, exploring and hiking through Rocky Mountain National Park. From our first evening's walk around Bear (Lake) to our awe-inspiring hike to Ouzel Falls, to our two trips up Old Fall River Road, our family had very special moments and created some wonderful memories as our daughter heads off to college in the fall! We highly recommend new adventures . . . white water rafting the Poudre River and a four hour trail ride on horseback shouldn't be missed! Your home is lovely and we hope to return again soon! Thank you for providing all the comforts of home. They made our stay worry-free! How wonderful to see the mountain view outside the window as the elk roam the front yard! Our daughter said it best "This is better than Disney World!" Thank you from the Andersens, Bob, Toni and Caitlin

Pamela and Tim, The fastest week of the year has passed. We enjoyed every minute. The cabin is beautiful, so close to everything. Thanks for the fire pit - the evenings were so great. Enjoyed our 2 hour visit by a family of elk, complete wth 3 babies and a yearling buck. Hope to return to Estes Park again and hope the cabin would be available. Thanks again, Lloyd and Maryon Radley
