WE ARE ACTIVELY SEEKING SKI LEASES FOR THE WINTER. -- $1900/mo obo ALL INCLUSIVE!
Our "Rubicon Chalet" is located in Lake Village, which is a community of townhomes. It’s situated on the south shore of Lake Tahoe, less than 1 mile north of the casinos at the state line (map the address below). The nearest ski resort is Heavenly - only a 5 minute drive away to the Gondola or Nevada side of the mountain up Kingsbury Grade. Kirkwood is about a 40 minute drive, as is Sierra @ Tahoe. Great location and close to everything in South Lake -- both during the winter and summer. Access to trails, fishing, the lake all so close!
Our updated townhouse (see link to pictures below), is a 2 bedroom plus a loft (3 levels). It’s 1,223 sq ft. with lovely forest views from 2 decks. Our home, an end unit, happens to be tucked away by the forest area of the property so you can start the morning with a nice leisurely stroll amidst the pine trees (like many of our neighbors do).
We look forward to sharing our comfortable, clean, and well maintained vacation home with you to enjoy with friends and family.

Owner Description

We are a family of 3 who love to travel. We chose to buy our second home at South Lake Tahoe because of its beauty and tranquility. We try to visit as often as we can, but love to share our home with friends and family otherwise. We treat our home very well and would love to share it with others when we can't be up in the mountains ourselves
Why the Owner Chose Other South Lake Tahoe Properties
Lake Village is conveniently located 1/2 mile from the Edgewood Golf Course, less than one mile from the casinos and the Heavenly Gondola, and about 2 miles from the beach. It is almost at the center of all the action, yet set enough away for peace and relaxation.
The Unique Benefits of this Townhome
Lake Village offers all the amenities -- pool, hot-tub, saunas, tennis courts, children's playground, BBQ's, billiards, ping-pong. For our three young children who love to swim, the pool is their oasis. For my husband and I, the his/hers saunas and hot-tub are a big plus. Lake Village is truly a vacation destination.

Great location for a Great price. For those who prefer gambling, the casinos are just 5 minutes away. It's also a quick drive to the enjoy the gorgeous lake during summer and a few miles away from Heavenly for those avid skiers during winter. Safeway & Nob Hill are close by which makes grocery shopping very convenient. The condo is quite clean and well-maintained & perfect for a family of 6. Both bathrooms are nice and the updated kitchen is a plus. The property itself is quiet which includes a club house equipped with a swimming pool, ping-pong and a few tennis courts. The owners are very accommodating and quite helpful. It's our 2nd time to rent this place in 2 years so would I recommend this place? Absolutely.
Owner response:Joseph, Glad you enjoyed your 2nd trip back. We look forward to you return in the future!

The house itself was charming andwell equipped to feel like a home away from home. Owner was helpful in organizing the exchange even though it was last minute. The location was the best part- two minutes from downtown south lake tahoe with casino nighttime fun, but still feels like you're in the heartland of the tahoe wilderness.Highly recommended!
Owner response:Great to hear you enjoyed yourselves and glad to help out even if it was last moment. The proximity of our home to all of South Lake is indeed one of the great things about the home!

This trip was simply amazing - the nature, the hikes, the lake itself were absolutely beautiful. This property helped to make the stay relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable. It's location is ideal - the beach is only a few minutes away. There is also a hike through a gorgeous forest right in the backyard and we went running there in the afternoons. The beds were comfy, the TV had cable and worked well, and the internet connection was top notch. Five star property and most importantly, vacation!
Owner response:Wonderful to hear that you had a pleasant week at our home! Tahoe is wonderful in the summertime and the proximity to so many trials and the lake is one of the reasons we wanted a home in this location. We try and make the home comfortable with decor and amenities -- glad you enjoyed yourself.

i had a great time at this town house, it wasn't too far from the state line and it was a lot more roomier than i thought it would be. i would consider this for any more possible trips to tahoe.
Owner response:Zach, Glad you enjoyed our home and it exceeded your expectations! We're exactly 1.8 miles from the Stateline, a good walk on a nice summer day else a short bike ride or drive to everything in South Lake. Looking forward to your return some day.

Love, love, loved this property! Unit was as described online, clean, and well-maintained. A couple of the lights in the kitchen did not work, but additional lights in the room more than made up for it. There also was a minor roof leak into the dining room. We took advantage of the Clubhouse and played pool and ping pong. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at this unit and will definitely return in the near future =)
Owner response:Glad to hear you had a wonderful time. Thanks for informing me about the lights and roof. Both have been promptly addressed and we look forward to your return in the future.

My wife and I stayed at the cabin recently had enjoyed a lovely quiet weekend with just the two of us. There was loads of room and definitely thought the place would be great for three couples to enjoy or a big family of 4 or 5. It is a great location, very close to Heavenly and really easy to find. The kitchen is really nice and clearly has been upgraded recently. The rooms were all clean, comfy and relaxing. TV, DVD and stereo worked fine (don't forget the right cable to plug your iPhone into the stereo), but we could never get the fireplace working. Perhaps that was a user error :(. Fortunately heating was more than adequate to keep us warm and toasty through the evenings. Overall, a lovely getaway that is great for a small group of couples or a family trip!
Owner response:Niall, Glad to hear you had an excellent time. I checked up on the fireplace -- turns out the gas was out and has now been turned on. In the future, feel free to contact the toll free number I provide (on laminate sheets around the house too), and the prop. mgmt company we work with will address the issue right away -- day or night. Hope to see you up there again in the future!

The house is very comfortable and cozy for my family and a couple of friends. We cooked every night and had great dinner chats while the were kids playing with toys and board games.
Owner response:Family time is the best at our place -- we also love to cook dinners and just relax at home after a busy day enjoy the outdoors (winter or summer). Glad to hear you had a great time and we welcome you back in the future!

The townhome was very comfortable and very warm and inviting, though we had trouble with a few things: fireplace, bbq not working, shower hard to control, and wifi internet worked but very moody. Although, it did not affect our stay too much. Our group of 6 that went agreed we would rent this townhome again if we were to return to the Tahoe area. Right by the water, great location, quiet location with nice neighbors. Pictures are as is, nice rooms with plenty of space. Very clean with almost all appliances available and the washer/dryer came in handy. Owners were reliable and helpful, very reasonable. Grocery store was close along with casino's which was good. Close to Sleigh rides, snowmobiling, slopes for tubing, skiing, snowboarding.
Owner response:Thank you for your feedback -- we will address all the issues noted above right away to ensure an even better stay for future guests.

This cabin was perfect for my small group of friends and I. It was very cozy and had a unique style. It is only a two bedroom but with the loft it adds another sleeping room. The extra blankets and board games were great. We got almost two feet of snow while we were there and couldnt have asked for a better trip. Will be looking into the same place again for next year if the group wants to make another Tahoe trip! was amazing.
Owner response:We always try to have extra blankets around for cuddling up on the couch plus board games and cards accessible. The unique style of our home is a product of our travels around the world and artifacts we've collected along the way.

We did a winter ski rental for two months -- mid-January to Mid-March. It has everything you need! It was very comfortable, close to everything and the property managers were excellent. The only "complaint" is in regards to parking -- although you are assigned a designated spot there were several times that our spot was taken, and you wanna be close to the unit with an infant when it's snowing. The onsite property managers did a great job of getting people to move...just a hassle.
Owner response:Thank you for making me aware that parking was an issue -- I was not aware of this to be honest. I will address this with the Lake Village mgmt to make sure it does not happen to any of our guests in the future. Otherwise, we enjoyed having you stay in our home last winter -- thanks so much for leaving things so organized and tidy as well -- I appreciate it!
