This is a lovely remodeled, comfortably furnished, home right in the middle of the Tri-Cities, Tri-State area. If you are in the area for the many fishing, baseball, soccer, or basketball tournaments, they are all just minutes away. Seven miles from Bristol Motor Speedway! Fishermen: You'll be right in the middle of the great destinations of South Holston Lake, Boone Lake, and Watauga Lake. You'll be right in between two great trout streams as seen on ESPN, the South Holston and Watauga rivers. Also there are very many little known creeks that are full of trout.
White Water Rafting: It's available on the Watagua River but the Nolichucky River (about a 30 or 40 min. drive) is WAY better.
The Jonesborough Story Telling Festival is about 30 minutes away. The National Story Telling Festival is October 5-7,2007. People from all over the world will be in attendance.
The Appalachian Fairgrounds in Gray is about 20 minutes away. If motorcycles are your sport, we have a nice garage to park and fine tune your bikes. You'll be just minutes away from US 421, aka "The Snake". Check out the "Country Store" in Shady Valley while your there, you'll love it. There are tons of back roads, gravel roads and mountains to explore as well. Hey, I ride a Dual Sport bike myself. Motocross fans and racers, you'll be about 20 minutes from Muddy Creek Raceway.
Mountain Bikes: It's about a 45 minute scenic drive to Damascus, Virginia. That's the home of the world famous "Virginia Creeper Trail". If you've not heard of it, look it up online, the place is awesome.
Winter: About 45 minutes to Banner Elk, North Carolina and other ski destinations.
The NASCAR rates do not apply to the drag racing events at Bristol. |
