This charming Paris flat offers a unique combination of light, views and convenience. Enjoy your petit dejeuner overlooking a private garden. Within a one block radius, you will find authentic cafes, restaurants and local shopping in a non-touristed, Parisian neighborhood.
This newly renovated apartment offers a double sejour, is full of light and is so quiet you will think you are in the countryside. The salon/dining room includes a fireplace as the centerpiece. Two floor to ceiling windows in the salon offer a light-filled space. Open the windows in the morning to hear birds chirping and smell fresh bread baking at the bakery next door. The bedroom features a floor to ceiling double window. The apartment sleeps up to four adults: a brand new queen size bed in the master bedroom and a brand new sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom was recently remodeled. The kitchen includes brand new appliances: electric stove/oven, refrigerator, new washing machine.
A 37-inch LCD television offers a variety of channels including CNN, BBC, movie stations and sports networks. There is a DVD library. WiFi is set up throughout the apartment. A USA based phone allows you to make unlimited international calls at no extra charge.
The apartment is easily accessible from the airport by the Air France bus to Montparnasse or the RER B to Denfert Rochereau. A 10 minute metro ride brings you to central Paris (Notre Dame, the Louvre, Chatelet). A lovely 15 minute walk brings you to the Jardin du Luxembourg in the 6th Arrondissement.
This second floor apartment, is in the extremely desirable 14th arrondissement, across the street from Metro Mouton-Duvernet on Metro line 4 and bus lines 38, 28, 58, 62. It is located only three blocks from Rue Daguerre, the delightful shopping area, filled with some of the best fromageries, boucheries, boulangeries and chocolateries in Paris. Nearby is the famous Montparnasse cemetery. Only a 12 minute walk from Gare Montparnasse, and five minutes from Denfert Rochereau RER station as well as Metro line 6 with direct access to the Eiffel Tower, L’Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees, the apartment is well located for excursions into or out of the city. Parking on the street can be easily found.
The local swimming pool is across the street and is open to the public as well as public ping pong tables (rackets and balls provided!).
The neighborhood is truly a secret, and the availability and quality of ingredients to purchase and cook your own meals is the best that can be found (food and wine photographer’s opinion).
