The whole process was easy and simple, no complaints there. Once we got to the property we were expecting something smaller, once we opened the door we were impressed at how big the house really is. The location is great 5 minutes away from Combate and 10 mins away from El Faro and Playa Sucia. Overall this is a great rental for the price, specially if you are with a big family.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We stayed there August 2011. The photos didn't do the condo justice. It's a beautiful modern space. All cooking utensils, and plenty of clean towels were supplied. The condo was clean and large enough for 4-6 people comfortably. The beach was very close and there were local stores, bakeries and Walgreens open nearby to get fresh bread every day, and anything else we might need. The pool was nice and clean, and the property was well maintained. I don't think I'll ever rent a hotel room again! Richard and Midalys were great to work with. When we accidentally left jewelry behind, the mailed it to us. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants more space and comfort for less than a hotel room.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

What's not to love! Miladys and Richard were a pleasure to work with. The house had everything you would want but at a cost less than a hotel and without the interruptions of hotel staff. We traveled with our two little ones and their favorite part was the fact that the beach was within walking distance and we also had the pool a stones throw away for those days you just wanted to unwind. Beautiful view from the terrace in the third floor, perfect for hanging a hammock or a bbq. The only thing I recommend is to bring some OFF for the "mimes" (tiny mosquitoes) that show up after 6PM since they can be vicious. You have assigned parking so no arguing over spots and its controlled access. My family like the property so much, that they want to have one just like it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This is a beautiful property. It was spotless, had all the comforts of home. They provided EVERYTHING, from towels, cooking utensils, an ihome radio/player and even a cooler to take to the beach. Our 12 yr-old son had cable for his cartoon needs. We 4 adults had the roof top terrace to ourselves. The view from the loft was awesome; you can watch the sky full of stars at night. Dominos table provided for hours of fun. Away from it all, but close enough to walk to the beach (a 10 minute walk). The property has a common area pool. Neighbors were nice and quiet. Went to Boquerón for dinner at La Marea Restaurant (check Trip Advisor for tips).Go to Playa Sucia early in the morning...spectacular view from El Faro (lighthouse)!!! Boqueron Beach was really nice. Hopefully will be back again soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We, a family with two young kids, stayed at one of the townhouses during the Presidents’ Day week. COMPLEX: The owners have four townhouses in 21-unit complex. During the weekdays the whole complex was to us, there was no one else there. On the weekends several units had occupants. Each unit has two parking slots: one next to the unit, another across from the unit. The complex is secure, surrounded by fence and car / pedestrian access is controlled by automatic gate operated by a remote control. The pool is very nice; its water is cool and refreshing. Two restrooms, outside shower, chairs, sunshade with sink are located in the pool area. Relaxed walk to the beach takes ten minutes. TOWNHOUSE: The townhouse, in which we stayed, is secure: all doors have locks. The three-story townhouse is well equipped. We found it very clean upon arrival. FIRST FLOOR: The first floor is an open area containing half-bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living / family room and terrace. On the first floor there is refrigerator, dual sink in the kitchen, ceramic stovetop with oven, microwave, utensils, paper towels, garbage bags, dishwashing liquid, sponge, CD player with iPod dock, dining table, four chairs, LCD TV, DVD player, arm chair, couch, dominos table, beach chairs, toys, books, magazines, CD, and DVDs. There is also a large A/C cooling the whole first floor area. For additional charge you can get DirectTV and Wireless Internet (CDMA internet to WiFi converter). SECOND FLOOR: The second story contains two bedrooms and full bathroom (shower, not bath). The master bedroom has two beds, so does the other bedroom. The clean linens and towels are provided by the owners. Both bedrooms have A/C units. Note, there is no washer/dryer in the unit, but hookups are present on the second floor. THIRD FLOOR: Finally, the third floor has open air patio and half-bathroom. The patio is equipped with table, six chairs, grill, sink and DirectTV dish. There is a nice view of surrounding areas from the patio. COMMUNICATION: Richard and Miladys are friendly and are easy to communicate with. Note that they respond mostly in the evenings (around 9pm ET). Our deposit was returned promptly (i.e. less than week after we vacated the property).Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Nice place, spacious, with much privacy. Off the beaten path if that's what you're looking for. Little in the way of dining around the immediate area but Combate is such a nice beach and there are several small surrounding communities to explore.Did you find this review helpful? Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: We are a family of five, and love to enjoy Puerto Rico's outdoors. The Island's western coasts are our favorites, being the Caribbean Sea the most tranquil and family-oriented.
Why the Owner Chose Cabo Rojo:
Our family has been involved with this property for more that 25 years. The place started as a small cabin resort and later in the 2000's it was demolished and Camino del Mar was developed. We were involved with everything; from the design of the buildings to the marketing and sales of the units.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
The modern looks and the 'non-apartment' setting are not found elsewhere in the Boqueron-Combate area. Sharing the pool with only 20 other neighbors is a plus. Except for during the biggest local holidays, the place is very, very quiet.
Easy access to boating, kayaking, etc. Enjoy a challenging (although 100% flat) jogging trail inside a natural reserve that borders the Caribbean Sea and crosses a picturesque sea-salt production facility.
