Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Stephen and Sally Gray retired in 2004, Stephen from logging and land development, Sally from her daycare/preschool business. They had made their home together in Puyallup, WA. Both now enjoy developing the "piece of dirt" they acquired on Lake Roosevelt. Stephen particularly enjoys working with wood, whether building structures or creating intarsia pieces. Sally enjoys her horses and sharing her love for the Lord through hospitality.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Roosevelt
We chose NE Washington and Lake Roosevelt after coming over to a dude ranch in this area. Before coming, we had no idea that NE Washington had TREES. Our eastern Washington experience had only been with the arid inland basin and the Palouse area. We were delightfully surprised at this area's mountainous, tree-filled beauty. The remote quietness was also very appealing after having seen Puyallup go from rural and sparsely populated to congested and overwhelming in a period of 20 years.
The Unique Benefits of this Apartments, New Travel Trailer
We love the quiet beauty here. Decompressing is actually possible by stepping out the door. We delight in the wildlife that lives all around us. The privilege of unlimited riding without trailering our horses anywhere is a special treat. We enjoy the freedom and privacy that this "remote" location affords.

WOW!! Could the Lord have directed us toward any kinder more generous people? I don't think so! How neat to find such instant friends, when that is probably what we are looking for more importantly than property or a house. You both have reminded us just how HE works. We could never thank you enough for your incredible hospitality and may I say friendship! May the Lord hold his blessing over you both and your wonderful place. Butch and Julia. PS Here's to temporary farewells!! Quoted from our guestbook.

Thank you so much for our winter wonderland family get away! We all agreed that we weren't ready to go home and could have played and enjoyed the spirit of peace and fellowship for days more! We were concerned that we might not fit into our clothes if we enjoyed any more delicious food but how can you exercise moderation when it's all so good. We are hoping to enjoy WOODLIFE in the summer season-LORD willing we'll be back. Bless you! Love, Scott, Gretchen, Zac, Joe, Nick and Jeff. Quoted from our guest book.

Steve & Sally; Thank you so much for your ministry of providing a haven for those in the ministry...who hurt or for those who need a place to relax at the "right price." I also appreciated not having to cook and be pampered this weekend. The food was wonderful. Love, Candi. Quoted from our guestbook.

Well, this is my 5th trip in 4 years (missed a year). I so enjoy playing "intrepid pioneer woman" over here..me and the gator..we're tight! Pickin' apples, pickin' pears, hauling horse poop, haulin' hay, haulin' sand...then there's playing fetch with Winston and Rica, aka lazing around with a purpose, and last but certainly most important, the opportunity to be blessed by your hospitality, generosity, love and friendship. I pray for your dreams to come true and that with God, your visions for this peaceful place are realized. Love ya, Jolens. Quoted from our guestbook
